“It was Thursday evening after work and we didn't have reservations and we was 2 seated immediately in the main dining room. Automatically I suggested the Lobster Ravioli w/ Shrimp in creamy lobster sauce. And Chicken parmigiana with pasta to split between us. And my business partner noticed The Avocado fries. Yes we certainly busted down our meal topped off with 2 Arnold Palmers Sweet lemonade mixed with unsweetened ice tea a perfect tasting blended drink. So yes we will be back for this in the cut spot.”

“An amazing old school “red sauce” Italian spot. Order the garlic bread - it’s not on the menu. White table cloth and old school vibes. Cozy and they have all the traditional dishes. All the dishes were great! Will definitely be back”

“Bruno first impression from the guest services to the wait time was amazing. We were greeted and seated right away. They provide all the essentials such as bread cheeses and meats to start. They can make any drink you ask them and they also offer a meat special platter that you can choose from. The food was made fresh from the pasta to the well cooked chicken cutlet. The fried calamari is amazing and is recommended 👌 😉”

“I called a week out and made reservations for my dad's birthday, and the earliest available was 7:30pm, which worked out. We were seated pretty fast. We ordered at 750pm and did not get out food until 8:45pm. Also we didn't finish until 9:45pm. Long service. I ordered the halibut, which was severely undercooked. Maybe they rushed it because we were waiting so long, but that's no excuse. When I showed the waitress she apologized and they made me a new one. It was good. I enjoyed the miso glaze on it, which was salty with a touch of sweetness. I ordered a side of rice as the waitress recommended. I tried my dad's carrot pappardelle, and it was good. It had lobster, shrimp, and crab meat with it. My uncle had penne with calamari and the calamari was very tasty. Light breading, which was seasoned with a hint of spice. Overall, my food was good, minus the raw halibut. My brother had the salmon and he tried my halibut and said the halibut was better. I gave this restaurant 2 stars due to the atmosphere and how it was handled. One table was about 10 people, and they were yelling and laughing the whole time. Really inconsiderate of others around them. The only time we could hear each other speak was when they were eating. When the table was finally leaving, they were rude to my aunt, and it was uncalled for. It felt like it was their first time at a nice restaurant, and they did not know how to act. The type to pay rent but have their financial priorities in the wrong areas. They continued being loud even after they left the dining area. Our waitress apologized, but to me, that wasn't enough. They should have been asked to leave, especially since they were just standing at the exit for at least 10-15 minutes being loud on purpose. The staff acknowledged this behavior and apologized to us but did nothing to rectify it. If I were a restaurant manager/owner, I wouldn't let anyone disrespect any other guests. To me, it felt like they cared more about them because of the size of their party compared to ours. More money from them than us. Also, they did mention that table also worked in the restaurant industry, so they knew them. A lot of people take my advice on where to eat and unfortunately I'm not going to be able to recommend this restaurant. Word of mouth is important, and not only did they lose us for future services, but they will lose countless more. I've been to a lot of restaurants, and rarely do I give a low rating. To me, the food and the service are equally as important. Due to the atmosphere, how long the food took to come out, and the undercooked fish, I doubt I'd come back. With so many great restaurants in Buffalo such as Mother's, Hutch's, Mulberry, Gabriel's Gate, etc, I see no reason to. They did take off the halibut and my dad's dessert off the bill. Instead of being a great night for my father's 78th birthday, it turned out to be the opposite. I asked him where he wanted to go for dinner, and he asked me to choose, for this I take responsibility. I will make it up to him elsewhere as he deserves only the best.”

“It’s been around since 1949 and it’s the last of the Italian neighborhood restaurants in Rochesters old little Italy. Most of the inside is original. It’s not updated or modern but that’s part of its charm! I’ve been many times. Incredible food! I got Ravioli with meatballs. I thought it was great and my co worker, who had never been before said it was the best ravioli he had ever had. Wonderful service as well. Christine was an absolute sweetheart. She was attentive, fast, and was in general one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had, in any restaurant. Definitely recommend. It’s important that these sort of places stay open. Go support them! Way better Italian food than you’ll get at any chain.”

“The pizza is good. It's cheaper than the kosher place down the street and has better service. The staff was really nice. I ate there and they brought my food out to me. Place was clean but could use a big makeover”

Jonathan's Restaurant

“Cycled 15 miles here for a business lunch. The Maitre D was kind enough to valet my bike at the coat check. High ceilings & spacious seating. Lunch time was bustling with locals. I went with the 3 course lunch special for $29. Was looking for some light fare since I needed to cycle more afterwards. Eggplant is not generally a dish that receives rave reviews. It takes a master chef to deliver eggplant with exquisite flavor & texture. This was precisely the case today 🥇🥇 Good portion sizes. Caesar salad was fresh. Rice pudding was phenomenal 👍👍. Great dining experience. Will definitely return again.”

Bubble's Restaurant

“It's been a strange year. Vacations are just not what we would like nor is eating out what we are used to. Our vacation we decided to try out an RV at a nearby campground but didn't want to make a big deal about cooking. where to go? Campground suggested many options, "Bubbles" being one of them. Social distancing and masks were ready to serve customers. This particular day the hurricane/tropical storm were rolling in so I opted for a comfort food of a hot roast beef sandwich. SO had a French dip which he has said was really good. Both meals just seemed larger than expected and hit the spot. As usual though, meal was large enough to put off dessert. Parking is reasonable, servers were personable, prices were good. Since this is a local favorite, we'll just have to return to try the ice cream.”

“I strolled into San Matteo with my wife on a fall Sunday afternoon and it was the best experience I’ve had here in NYC. We were warmly greeted by the staff and decided to sit at the bar to watch a bit of NFL red zone. Our waiter’s name was Andres and he was PHENOMENAL. He was genuine and kind and knew the whole menu front to back. The espresso was poppin and the food was incredible. It is crazy out of the days I’ve spent here in NYC that the short time I spent at San Matteo was probably my favorite experience. Andres you are the man and keep serving with that smile you have that shines so bright.”

Panini Grill

“We went here for a friend's birthday we had a party of 16 people. We went on a Friday night so I'm not sure if it's customary for them to have live music but they did have live music there. The singer was excellent at times through the night even the owner got on the mic to sing. It was very loud and fun atmosphere. If you're looking to go for a quiet romantic night this is not the place to go LOL at least not when there is live entertainment. Service was very friendly and very efficient considering we were a table of 16. Appetizers came out when we were completed it was a reasonable amount of wait time until our dinners came out and a reasonable amount of wait time for dessert. The place was decorated beautifully, food was delicious the owner was super friendly and singing with the live entertainment. Overall we had a great time I would definitely go back again on a night that wasn't for a party just to experience a regular dinner. I would also like to try different things on the menu because everybody's entree looked delicious. Parking was street parking.”

Vesuvio's Ristorante

“So we have seen a lot of amazing reviews and mentions of this place for a couple years. The other night we were in town and even though it says reservations recommended it was 7:00 pm and figured why not try a table for two. 10 minutes later we had a table. The service was on point. From the appetizer to the main course of the food was amazing. I had enough of my meal for two sittings. You go here and you won’t be disappointed.”

Dominick's

“Can’t say enough about this charming old school Italian bistro perfect for family dining. I picked this place because the review I read said “it’s more like a neighborhood food hall. Long tables & the waiters verbally provide the menu.” This is my style. I wasn’t disappointed. Easy to get a table for one and I was pampered and showered with love & attention from the busboy, waiter, bartender and owner. The food was quick and AMAZING! Authentic and fresh. The bread was delicious and with the evoo , chef’s kisses. House wine was great & I got out of there for a mere $45. Cash only.”

“Every single sandwich is outrageously delicious! Tonight I had the reuben....best I've ever had anywhere! My husband had the steak sandwich and tater tots and it was fabulous! It's one of our favorite go to places to get a great meal quickly and reasonably. Kudos to the sweet girl who does it all. She's the bartender, she takes your order and delivers your food. She cleans the tables afterward and never misses a beat. She's super efficient and has a wonderful and friendly personality. I highly recommend Gino and Joe's! Look who stopped in to get dinner to bring back to the North Pole!”

“It was a lovely Sunday summer evening to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather! The service here was excellent, enjoyable conversation, history of the owners and menu highlights. We ordered a starter salad and risotto and we’re so excited it was fully gluten free! What a treat! The salad came and had pink edges on the lettuce and 3 found pieces of Parmesan with mold I picked out. Not wanting to be rude and completely send it back I mentioned it to the waiter when he can by and told me he’d let the kitchen know. I wish he would have brought a new one or comped it. It shouldnt have been served. Not to get too distracted on a small pesky salad, the main was a lemon and shrimp risotto and it was fabulous! Wonderful flavor and texture. To top it off with a gluten free espresso cheesecake was delightful. I would come back here again because of the nice service and great main and dessert, I would just not order the salad.”

We had to wait so long in between plates!!!”

“No fuss, casual pizza joint that is family run. I've been going here for 5 years and I just realized after my most recent order that they have never gotten my order incorrect. Not once that I can remember. Food is reasonably priced with taxes included, which I enjoy. People are down to earth and are always busy doing something when I'm in there. Delivery is always on point. It's a great go to take out spot.”
