“Just an overall great hotel. Awesome location, but more importantly it was spotless! Excellent hot water and water pressure. Our double room was spacious (for NYC) and we had everything we needed. Service was also top notch. The entire team was friendly and helpful and very prompt with any requests. The decor will remind you of a small boutique hotel of years ago. We plan to return!”

“We chose this hotel for its convenient walking distance to the Syracuse University Dome for a football game. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, especially the bartender Mara. Our room, 123, was spacious and comfortable, but it's location in the hall off the lobby and next to the bar made it a little noisier than I'd have preferred. The breakfast menu is pretty limited but the food was excellent and again, service was top notch. The private access-controlled parking lot was nice and they even let us park there before check-in time since we were going to be checking in after the game. The exterior looks more like a bank or school building, but the interior is very nicely appointed. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again but would seek a room further away from the bar and lobby to cut down on the noise.”

“This review pertains to the restaurant only. Had a great lunch here and my eyes were bigger than my stomach as usual. Started with pop-overs which many rave about - decent but not my favorite. Still a five-star review. Prices were very reasonable, I thought. Started with a bowl of beef and potato soup which was a daily special and it certainly was special. Delicious. Then I had a small Caesar (for 5$, not bad) and plenty of dressing. I chose one of the chefs specials for the day which was a beef enchilada with pico and avocado and it was delicious. All of the daily specials were only $14 each. Cozy environment with fireplace keeping it nice and warm. Definitely recommend.”

“I have stayed here twice now. The staff is incredibly friendly and you can't beat the off season rates. It's a great location to spend the weekend checking out all the local spots. The room was relatively clean aside from some dust. Although it was off season, I would have appreciated it if they did some dusting and checked for dead bugs on closet shelves before we checked in. However, I was surprised to find the carpet to be clean and completely stain free. There were no bodily fluids to be found on the floors or walls when I did my customary scan for such things. I have stayed at nicer hotels and have been shocked when all the surfaces illuminated with stains under a UV light. I found none here whatsoever. If it weren't for the dust and the maid knocking despite the do not disturb sign being displayed I would have given 5 stars.”

“I booked this hotel through a 3rd party and thought I’d booked a queen, only to arrive and find out I booked “a queen or 2 doubles”. My husband is 6’3 and can not fit in a double bed. I asked Rosa at the front desk to please help and she advocated for us and worked magic to change our room from a double to queen. Thank you so much Rosa! You were so helpful and fantastic. The hotel itself is beautiful, lots of exposed brick with a great cozy lobby. Bed was very comfortable. Room was quiet. The bathroom was modern with a big shower with a high shower head. Had a great time”

“Amazingly fancy, elegant and welcoming all at the same time. Rustic / charming / historic location. The regular menu is fantastic and divers - and the specials are memorable. For a normal dinner, or a special event in one of their private rooms - the Chateau offers everything you could want, even rooms for an overnight stay. I have had numerous dinners as a walk in patron, and never been disappointed. I have also been to 3 different private parties - and twice had a privet dinner in the wine cellar. All have been flawlessly executed memorable experiences. DO NOT MISS!”

“Hampton Inn cortland is a very nice place to stay while traveling. I reserved our room with the Hilton Honors app, using the points I had accumulated from past stays. Check-in was easy and quick. The room was nice. The shower pressure is excellent. The beds were very comfortable. The only thing we didn't care for was the divided waste basket, label trash on one side and recycle on the other side, its not big enough for the trash. They have a nice breakfast buffet. Coffee, tea & hot chocolate are available 24 hours a day up by the front desk. Hampton Inns have some of the best coffee ☕️. They also have a little snack shop area with seating by the front desk. I highly recommend staying there when traveling.”

“We first found Audrey’s Farmhouse when we lived in NYC and needed a weekend away with our dogs, it quickly became our favorite getaway spot as the rooms were beautiful, the staff was caring and the food was amazing. When we got engaged, Audrey’s was the only venue we truly considered and from the moment we booked them, they made the wedding planning process feel under control! They are so well organized and so quick to respond that everything felt like it would be well taken care of and it absolutely was! Not only is the venue stunning, but my family raved about the food (it really is amazing) as well as the staff, who clearly enjoy their work. The little details that they pay attention to also make your day so special and seamless, we truly couldn’t recommend them more!”

“A great little hotel in a convenient location for us. Staff was pleasant and attentive, the room was clean (adequate, though certainly not spacious. The one recurrent problem is that even though the beds were made by housekeeping each day, the flat sheet they used to make the bed kept getting loose. Even if one only pulled the blanket out from the bottom, that was it the sheet was loose and came out. We were there for 3 nights, same thing each night. Not sure if they need bigger sheets or better staff training on how to make the bed? There was construction on the street and in the neighborhood. However, I have to give the hotel high marks on sending an email out to us after the reservation was made warning us of what to expect. The information in the letter about the specific entrance location and noise/amenity impacts was perfectly on target. It allowed us to make the informed decision as to whether to keep the reservation or switch to another hotel. We did decide that the impacts seemed like something we could deal with. Without the letter, it might have been complaint worthy, but the proactive notice was greatly appreciated!”

“We stayed for 2 nights during the week for an event at MSG. For the most part this stay really exceeded my expectations. The room was nice and clean. It had kind of a weird smell when we first got in, but it dissipated after a few minutes of running the AC. It was more like a stale bleach smell from clean linens, than any kind of mildew or something like that. The room was decent sized, it had a microwave and mini fridge, a small safe for valuables, you can sign into your Netflix on the TV. The layout was a little awkward with the bed placed directly in front of the bathroom; so if you are not already intimately aware of your partner's bathroom habits you will be. The staff was friendly, responsive, helpful. The location is fantastic, walking distance to many popular destinations. The breakfast buffet did get a bit busy at times, but staff were constantly replacing empty dishes, so you didn't have to wait for something. This is a big money saver in the city obviously and we were pleased to go both mornings we were there. They also mentioned a free happy hour of wine and beer, which we did not partake in, but that would also be a big money saver if you do. We will definitely stay here again.”

“Nice place but the neighborhood is much different than what we’re used to. Parking can be very difficult although we lucked out and grabbed a spot literally three feet from the front door. That was super lucky. It’s about a ten minute walk to the subway. The room was the smallest we’ve ever been in with only a couple feet of space around the big soft king bed. Staff were very friendly and easy check-in/ checkout. There is a nice little bar area in the lobby.”

“Stayed at this hotel during a recent visit to Ithaca and will NOT recommend to anyone looking for a decent place to stay. Here are few reasons why (not exhaustive): First of all the hotel appears to be be in a complete state of disrepair and in urgent need of updates, broken fixtures, dirty carpets, musky smelling rooms and hallways, ancient TVs that don't work etc. The hotel looks and operates like a motel but charges exorbitant hotel prices... Second, during my stay requests to fix essential broken items were mostly ignored. The toilet in my room did not flush during my entire stay and I made multiple requests to have it fixed but that never got done. Third, made requests to have my room cleaned but that never happened either Fourth, was billed a different amount than what was shown on my reservation. Tried to get the hotel to fix it by calling and emailing the manager. To date haven't received a callback from the manager or a response to my email. The only positive side to this hotel is the staff. With the exception of a few unpleasant staff, many were really nice, pleasant to speak with and were happy to help as much as they could. My two cents, you are better of spending your money on another hotel where you will get value for your money and be treated with respect. Just look at recent reviews about the hotel and you will see exactly what I am talking about. I ignored those reviews and paid the price for it.”

“I've lived here 20 years and tonight was my first time here. The Millerton Inn is beautiful and decorated nicely. I must say I was surprised that the portions were small. Orange Chicken was delicious but the amount of chicken was a small breast with an attached wing. I was told in the past it was much larger. The short rib was excellent served on rice with no vegetables. At $32 dinner should come with something. Dessert chocolate souffle was amazing served warm with ice cream. Nice but pricey.”

“Terrible experience. Comforters have stains on them. The yellow chairs out front were too dirty to sit on in my dressy clothes. The bed was comfortable but the pillows too hard for my liking. The worst part was the shower. Not useable. Once you get it to the temperature you want and then turn the shower on, only blazing hot water comes out. The cold water continues to drip out the spot and doesn’t come out of the shower head. Both my husband and I tried it. The manager claims it works fine and at 50 years old I just don’t know how to turn the faucets. Refused to accommodate me. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. This place is old, dilapidated and WAY overpriced.”
