“We went for a late lunch at 2 pm on a Friday. By that time the summer crowd was just beginning to thin and we were seated immediately. I ordered Buffalo chicken tenders which came with a side of fries. Although the chicken was plentiful, the over-cooked, dark-brown tenders were far from being tender. What made them just edible was the excellent buffalo wing sauce. The fries on the other hand were inedible. My guess is that they sat under a heat lamp so long they were dried out in the middle, limp, and only slightly above room temp when delivered. Our waitress was very busy and didn't check back with us after serving our food, so I wasn't able to point out the problem until the bill was presented and she noticed I hadn't eaten the fries. She apologized and kindly brought out an order of their excellent macaroni salad to go. My wife fared much better with a roast beef sandwich and a side of the macaroni salad. My feeling about this restaurant is that the kitchen does not practice adequate quality control and the wait staff are asked to cover too many tables, so your experience may be hit or miss. UPDATE-1: We had much better luck on our second visit to this restaurant during Skaneateles Restaurant Week. The french fries we're hot and crisp and the beef sandwich was excellent. Increased my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars.”

“Upon entrance the hostess was extremely unprofessional, no people skills at all. Same for the waitress. Once we arrived, other guests were seated and served before us. Honestly felt like it was a race issue. I will say the ranch dressing was soooo good. Other than that it was a waste of time and money. Will not be back or recommend.”

“I enjoyed karaoke here, but just be aware that this establishment charges you sales tax for the subtotal including auto gratuity (for parties of 6 or more). In other words, it’s not the subtotal that’s being taxed, it’s the subtotal + auto gratuity that’s being taxed in the end. That said, the service is great but the interior atmosphere is a bit plain. No ambient lighting and no tambourines. If you just come for a no-frills karaoke session, you’ll be good to go. I really liked the fact that we didn’t have to buy a drink minimum, though. I would come again for the service but the room decor could use some work.”

“They can accommodate small or large parties of 8 here no problem. Great views of the river. Prices for drink seem to vary at the bar and at the tables. Not sure why it's always extra charge for a tall single drink vs short single drink at the table but not at the bar for us? Seems odd since no other bars charge extra for a tall glass.. They just charge the same a single or double shot price. We have come many times here. But the crowds and foods always good and reliable. Hit or miss on the friendliness of the servers. The bartenders are always friendly. Good bit of outdoor seating. Forgot to take more pics 😅”

I haven’t been to the city since pre-Covid- and made reservations online with an oyster bar for happy hour- only to get there and it’s no longer in existence- i asked Google for “oysters near me” and it directed me to two- Sel Rrose happened to be in the direction of our next stop- we were thankfully surprised- great atmosphere, the staff was knowledgeable and made killer cocktails! Best Bourbon Manhattan I’ve had! As a chef, I’m picky, the oysters were fresh! The cucumber mignonette was refreshing with the sweet petites! And the bread service was anything but boring! Highly recommend!”
