Red Pepper Chinese And Vietnamese Cuisine

3910 Maple Rd, Amherst, NY 14226, United States

“Accessible, though I didn't check the bathrooms. Great place! Clean. lots of customers but not packed. A fresh, red carnation on every table was nice. The prices are good, the portions are enormous. Everything came out piping hot. Staff were fantastic! I look forward to going again. I would have liked to have seen more traditional foods on the menu but I'm sure they have to serve what Buffalo will eat.”

“One of my favorite restaurants in Brooklyn. I love their veg and meat options equally. The chicken is marinated so well and is rich with so much flavor. The Healthy One bowl is hearty, well portioned, and my favorite. My partner and I celebrated 1-year here. Sometimes the no contact, buzzer service has its glitches but I have noticed improvement over time. Come early on a Friday night for a seat! Great heat in the outdoor patio too for winter dining.”

“My partner is a great fan of Chinese food, while I’m not a huge one. She enjoyed every bit of our evening and admittedly so did I! The cocktails were very creative and complemented the dishes nicely. We had the crispy beef, five flavour chicken dumpling, broccoli and mushroom main and the duck with noodles. All were amazingly delicious and special, not too fatty and very juicy. Will go back again.”

“This place was wonderful when it initially opened. I am sure COVID hit this place hard because they are perpetually understaffed. I routinely order food to go. Then it is painfully obvious that my food has not started to be prepared until I arrive, and the host goes back to ask if it is ready. I wait at least 15 min every time. The last time I ordered, the same thing happened, but I noticed half of my order already sitting on the table. I waited 20 more minutes again for them to obviously cook and complete the rest of the food on Mt order. When I got home the sushi was warm after sitting next to warm food. One of the entrees was essentially inedible the entire plastic was filled with oil. I have given this place chance after chance because their food is good. I spent 164 dollars on to go food and threw away about 60 dollars of it. In the past I have tried to discuss these issues with a "manager" and they could care less. Will be going to any other Thai Chinese or hibachi place in the area from now on.”

“* just don't get the shrimp dumplings * The pork chives stickers were great when dining in - because the crust stays crispy and the fillings were tasty and hearty. I would skip the shrimp dumplings, weird texture and flavor, tasted like a failed fusion attempt. These are thicker skin dumplings like your grandma used to make.”

“Yes, they have Peking duck but please try all the excellent dishes as well. I love their dumplings, soupy and soft and umami. I love their asparagus and their snow peas, tender but crisp and salted correctly. I love their wings, meaty and stuffed to have multiple textures. I love their steak, oh my goodness that sweet salty fatty steak. I recommend basically the whole menu. My advice is to order with balance: sweet and salty, fatty and light. You'll love this place. Also the staff is so cool, they made me feel like I was part of the neighborhood. Thanks for taking care of us.”

“It was very busy and this could be the reason service was extremely slow. That's the only thing I could say could've been better for me. It took too long to get my food. Not enough space for the crowd they had. I think it was a concert downtown. The food was pretty good, the only complaint is the fries were cold 😔 Staff were super friendly and very patient with everyone including me 😆”

Bacchus Restaurant, Brewery & Billiards

“Really bad service. We were a party of 5. Place was not even half full. Waitress had a very lazy 'who cares' attitude. Food all came out at different times. Waited an hour for one of the meals. Then, the waitress automatically added a 20% tip to the bill. We were all in a good mood, made the best of it. Lousy, inconsiderate, insulting service.”

“Awesome dumpling spot in suffolk county. I was a little skeptical to try a dumpling spot after working in Flushing so long hut I have this place a try. The food here is outstanding, on par with the best. I went with an order of soup Dumplings and duck buns. The Dumplings were the perfect consistency and texture. None of them broke before I started eating, which was nice. You can taste quality meat in them, not junk meat. The duck buns were equally as good. The bun was fluffy and thick. The ratio of meat, vegi, and bun was perfect. And the sauce was not overpowering at all. The price point was normal for the area. A little more expensive for something better quality, which is okay with me. I'd love to go back with friends and try some different items.”

So Far So Good

“This is a well-kept old-school Chinese/Japanese food restaurant. The dining room is large with very pretty decor featuring paper lanterns and soft lighting. The service was perfect! The waiter brought over a pot of tea, water, and fried noodles right away. Took our orders promptly. The lunch specials had generous portions and were delicious! I had beef and broccoli with brown rice. My husband had eggplant and zucchini in garlic sauce. The prices were also great. There were many vegetarian options as well. If you are in the area, this place is highly recommended.”

“A typical no-frill, cash only asian establishment in Elmhurst. Just to be clear: this is TAIWANESE restaurant incase their name was clear enough. I’ve been coming to this joint since forever and oh god i miss the old times when i used to live close by and prices were lower. Their dishes have always been excellent and portions are generous. Again, cash-only!”

Woodcock Brothers Brewery

“Customer service was a 5 star this time ( that was not always the case as least in my experience). Pizza was good and the beers were good especially the Oktoberfest. Venue always has a good vibe. Will go back”

Dirty Taco + Tequila Patchogue

“This was my first Long Island restaurant so I really did not know what to expect but people in Texas know good tacos, so this seemed like a good choice. Off back the restaurant is decorated well; it is eclectic but it still feels like everything belows in the same restaurant (minus the leg lamp for Another Christmas Story but is about Christmas time). This is a Mexican Asian fusion restaurant and I do think they pulled it off. The food overall was really good. I thought the chicken on the Kung pao taco was a bit tough and chewy, but the other two tacos I enjoyed. Everything is à la carte and our server, who was great, suggested 2-3 tacos a person. Tacos run on average about $6 each. I spent about 50$ before tip on 1 appetizer, 1 cocktail, and 3 tacos. I would come back if I was near a location. One thing I noticed, not sure if it's for this restaurant or a Long Island thing, there were two prices on the menu for cash and card, if you pay card it is a 4% increase.”

“Ambiance was incredible! Service was perfect. The staff was friendly, and professional. Wine was delicious and the food was amazing! We did the Restaurant Week Menu and it was still shareable. We were there for a work trip and will be back next time we’re in CT or NY! This is a must visit. The mansion was beautifully decorated and had some fun history. If your a Top Gun fan, make sure to stop and admire the bathroom! It has a Goose theme. So fun but beautiful!”

“Delicious meal in an intimate and almost fine-dining setting. There are 2 levels and we were seated on second floor. Our server, Xiomin was attentive and professional, quickly getting us what we order and need. The food itself is tasty and different, especially for someone having Beijing style food for the first time. Price is standard for NYC and our favorite dish was Signature Seafood Bisque that is basic but hit the right spot. Recommend as a must visit restaurant!”

“The cheapest happy hour I had in NY so far that has good quality 👌 the oysters are little small but not fishy at all, no sands too! It's quite creamy. I had like 16 of them 🥹 the drinks are good too, they are not light on alcohol which is great! Will definitely come again”

So awesome letting my kid try real, fresh ramen! Lots of options on the menu and if you order to go, the bags are amazingly insulated to keep your food fresh and warm!! Impressed all around.”
