“Very professional, well run boarding resort! I’m excited to be able to bring both the dog and cat to the same place. The brightly colored cat suites have a big window that looks out to greenery, birds feeders, and a pond. There’s also a high climbing platform so they can perch high on the wall. Plenty to keep him occupied! The luxury dog suite spaces are larger than any I’ve seen and have doggie doors that go to their own personal outdoor area. There’s lots of room for him to move around, stretch out and stretch up. Reasonably priced and well worth it. The outside dog play yard is huge with many structures and obstacles to climb on, under, and around. They showed me the new boarding space building across the parking lot and it’s absolutely beautiful. They do have a groomer that i’m definitely going use so that our big guy comes home from his resort stay happy, bathed, and freshly clipped!”

“Dr. Glasser and his team have taken consistently great care of my pup. It makes me feel so much better knowing that she’s under their care and in their very capable hands. I’m always impressed with how thorough and thoughtful everyone is, and how patiently and quickly they answer my myriad questions whenever we have cause to make a visit. My pup is my world and my best friend and I wouldn't entrust her care to anyone unless I had the highest level of confidence in their abilities and compassionate approach.”

Took my bunny Ruby for an emergency appointment due to a respiratory issue he had, lucky everything turned out fine. Doctors there are very informative which I love about someone who knows about rabbits. Great service and prices are reasonable, I’m glad this place is around for our buns especially when it’s an emergency. I will be coming here for all emergencies. :)”

Animal Specialty Center

9 Odell Plaza, Yonkers, NY 10701, United States

“I am posting this review on behalf of my dad. Hello, I want to share a story about an Animal Specialty Center in Yonkers, located at 9 Executive Blvd. Three months ago, I took my dog there because she was sick. They admitted her and informed me she needed a blood transfusion and other treatments. I agreed and paid $6200 for three days of care. Initially, the dog showed improvement, but after a few weeks, she weakened again. The doctors couldn't determine why she couldn't retain red blood cells, necessitating another $1500 blood transfusion. Between these visits, I spent an average of $300 per visit. Three weeks ago, I contacted the doctor as the dog started having seizures, lasting 10 to 15 seconds. After an examination, they changed her medications, costing me around $2000. The dog improved briefly, then deteriorated again. I informed the doctor about the ongoing seizures, suspecting a possible blood clot from the transfusions. They examined her and three days before she passed, they attempted another transfusion, which sadly didn't help. As her condition worsened, she could only sleep and drink water. On the day she passed, she had several seizures, and when I rushed her to the hospital, they insisted on a $600 deposit. Despite already spending $12,000, I complied. The doctor mentioned a stroke in her neck causing the seizures, similar to what I had suggested earlier. Despite this diagnosis, they wanted to charge an additional $3500 to $5000, but considering the prognosis, I opted to take her home. It was evident that they were more focused on profit than genuine care. It's important to note that I don't blame the doctors or the staff working there. Instead, it's the corporation behind the hospital that prioritizes profit over compassion. Tragically, five hours after returning home, my beloved dog passed away while sleeping on my chest. It's heartbreaking to suspect that they prolonged her suffering for financial gain. This kind of practice is unethical and should be addressed for the sake of other pet owners who deeply care for their animals."”

“*this was the care we received from the emergency vet for 7 hours. I have the bill and the pictures of my dog at the emergency vet getting treatment. he had eaten toxic mushrooms from the backyard. I have taken my dogs to you for years would not post something if it was not true. I went to their facility after calling in and letting them know I have an emergency with my pup if they were able to see me and treat him. this was at 6pm and they were closing at 7pm. the receptionist said yes knowing they were closing in an hour to bring my pup in. my pup was having neurological symptoms due to ingesting a toxic substance and was getting worst. they sat us in a room for the doctor to come in and tell me that the dog is having a reaction and to take him to the emergency vet after a whole hour of sitting in the doctor's room waiting for him to come while my dog was getting worst. no one was coming to see him even though I was telling the nurses. he was vomiting and loosing consciousness and was progressively becoming more unresponsive and started drooling. the doctor walked I for 2 mins to see the pup like it was a joke looked at hom said it was up to me but he thinks I can take him home and watch him since they are closing now and they don't have anyone to watch him through out the night or I can take him to the emergency vet and have them watch him there. charged me $100 for sitting there waiting for an hour for them to tell me to take him to another vet. did nothing not even a blood test. I rushed with him to upstate emergency vet where they took amazing care of him. he was in toxic shock from injesting a toxic substance and needed blood test to make sure his kidney and liver wasn't damage and iv fluids to rehydrate him as he was constantly throwing up and refusing food or water. thank God to them for saving my pup and taking so much care and attention to him in this emergency moment. will never take my dog back to aqueduct animal hospital and recommend anyone to go there. they are money hungry and a waste of time. when I called in at 6pm the receptionist and doctor should not have wasted my time to have me bring my pup who needed emergency service to them knowing they were closing and couldn't treat him just to make an extra $100 from me sitting there waiting. my dog was so sick and could have died. heartless team horrible doctor.”
