The only thing I didn't like is I wanted one or two cocktail sauces which are very tiny cups that are filled 1/4 and The young lady with glasses said I'll have to charge you 50 cents each because you already got enough sauce....We got 4 tiny cups of tartar and 2 roumelade... And don't expect to be greeted when you come in you will get two blank stares at you from the young ladies working up front.”

“Went tonight for my birthday & they did not disappoint. For appetizers we had the fresh bread & mussels, drinks were teas & a tin can. Entrees we had the duck with pork belly, jasmine rice & mixed veggies & the beef medallions with mushroom risotto, blistered tomatoes & asparagus. Dessert we took tiramisu to-go. Everything was delicious! The server was exceptionally great & attentive. The atmosphere was calm & efficient & the restaurant was clean & seemed to be running drama free. Very relaxing environment with fantastic food & service. Definitely a place worth trying if you haven’t been & worth going back. Thanks!”

”A friend recommended this place. We were looking forward to a good fresh seafood meal on the company dime today. Alas, it was not to be. Pretty disappointing all around. Service was fast. No one was rude but no one was personable either. Never saw anyone clean a table and had to clean one ourselves. The food was very under whelming. My soft shell crab sandwich was ok, it's hard to screw up crab, but it was overcooked. My wife's platter was terrible. The alligator bites, the flounder and the scallops were like rubber. The coleslaw tasted like it had turned. She said the shrimp tasted metallic. The best part of our meal was the fries on her plate and the soup i ordered, which was honestly fantastic. I'll not be returning. I'm still looking for a truly great seafood restaurant on the coast of NC. Seriously. Mayflower near me is very mid and blows this place out of the water for half the price.”

”There are two restaurants I've dined with that were so incredible and so unique that I the experience stuck with me for days after. The first is a lovely Michelin star bistro in Paris called Benoit. The other is Artisanal. I went to celebrate my engagement and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The location is lovely - tucked into the mountains in a charming, rustic, and warm corner of the mountains with a lovely trickling stream in the back. Should you arrive early, they have a lovely spot on the patio near the fire to enjoy yourself. The food itself is world-class. If Artisanal were in any major city, I have no doubt it, too, would have one (or more!) Michelin stars. The croquets were a lovely start - and the calamari was absolutely incredible - perhaps the best I've had. The soup was killer - and even the rolls were among the best I've had - served fresh in a cast iron skillet. Our meals were exquisite - the ribs alone, a simple and common dish, were done to protection and melted. In addition, and I can't stress this enough, the staff were lovely - even going so far as to bring complimentary champagne for our celebration. The desserts, of which we'd taken the unusual step of choosing two - both of which were undeniably lovely. The bottom line is if you're looking for a world class meal (and don't mind it running a bit pricey) you can not find a better spot to dine for at least one hundred miles - but not with a better location!”
