“It was spell-binding and meditative. The experience informed, immersed and facilitates the audience to channel Van Gogh in an coloring art experience. Notes to consider in visiting the expo: -Have patience in reading. This is not just an art presentation. You will be reading passages of the life of the artist and the inspiration of the paintings. -Wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking in different rooms. -Taking photos is allowed but don’t use flash. -I suggest going in early like 9-11 AM or in evening where there are less people. -wear something nice :)”

Grail Moviehouse
4.8
( 8 reviews )

17 Foundy St Ste 10, Asheville, NC 28801, United States

“Was recommended by one of our SC crew members as the theater had shown his film there. Located in an area that resembles a WWII rehabilitated bombed out target. The theater has a DIY look about it and that is entrepreneurship at its best. Good screen and audio. The most comfortable seats, sofas, are too close to the screen. The regular seats are fine. Very friendly staff. The ticket price is higher than chain theaters, but it’s supporting a small business showing hard to find movies and also is community involved.”

Kaleideum Downtown

”This is a FANTASTIC space for younger and athletic kids. Tons of spaces to climb and stretch, a fabulous "theater" space, and an awesome section of handmade wooden toys that explored simple machines and gravity. My 5yo had an absolute blast. Everything was clean and well organized with a friendly staff.”

”From the first discovery chat to now having several sessions done on my sleeve, Kim has been wonderful through every phase. Not only super professional but also honest in telling me what would work and what wouldn't. She listens when it comes to what you want and is more than willing to explain things as you go. I can't recommend her enough and am looking forward to more sessions.”

Reynolda House Museum Of American Art
4.6
( 8 reviews )

2250 Reynolda Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106, United States

”Attended Christmas with the Reynolds family at 7:30pm. Docent and all the dressed up characters from the time were excellent. Enjoyed the organ Christmas music too. The treats at the end were a joke (apple cider and pocky chocolate covered sticks) as the staff were cleaning them up while we were there which I found rude. Why not make it a traditional treat served during this time or at least a holiday one? The home is lovely and the history interesting so I do recommend a trip!”

Fantasy Golf & Game Room

Zing Zumm, Children's Museum Of Jacksonville

( 8 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

625 New Bridge St, Jacksonville, NC 28540, United States

”This is such a cute place for kids! We attended a birthday party here and there were so many different spaces for children to play in different ways. I will say, though, I only gave 4 stars because I wouldnt say its super secure.. when I left with my kiddos, nobody checked that we were leaving with the same kids we brought.. you cannot see the door from all areas, so someone could easily just walk out with a child if your kid were to head to another area.”

Ava Gardner Museum
4.8
( 16 reviews )

325 E Market St, Smithfield, NC 27577, United States

”For anyone who's interested in the Golden age of movies, this is a great day trip. There's a short movie (18 minutes) to get you started and then you can explore the many costumes, ephemera, and personal items from Gqrdener's life. Be sure to take advantage of the docent and ask a lot of questions, it will make your trip more memorable. I spent 2 hours but you could spend less or more depending on your level of interest.”

The Lumina Theater

620 Market St, Chapel Hill, NC 27516, United States

”My favorite local cinema. I love their kids combo: drinks, popcorn, gummies for around $6. And the Tuesday deals are amazing. It’s always clean and well run. We will keep coming back! Lots of great places to eat right here too,”

Accordion Club

316 W Geer St, Durham, NC 27701, United States

”First and last time going. We had family in from Texas, and went to boxcar - had a great time. One of the employees recommended this bar because they stayed open later. We walked in, and were like oh this a great dive bar by the look of it and how many patrons were at the bar. We sat at the bar, and had contact with a bartender (we later found out from security that she was “hungover”) who was extremely rude, and dismissive. She was much warmer with others at the bar, possibly because they were regulars but even getting a beer from her was like pulling teeth because she could barely even face us when we were talking to her. The body language was horrible, and so was her energy. There was even a point where she threw the cash change back down in front of one of our family members, and I was in disbelief. Looking over my bank transactions and realized the waitress also wrote herself in a tip even though I didn’t tip and crossed out the tip on the slip. Definitely never coming back, and don’t recommend.”
