“We booked a double queen bed room. We were checked in and given key cards that didn’t work. When we informed the front desk, she tried to open the room herself, however even the master key would not open the lock. So she told us our only other option is the have a king with pull out couch. When we got to our room, they told us we would have to make the bed ourselves because housekeeping had already left for the day. We left to get dinner and by the time we returned we still did not have any sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. When they finally brought some, they only brought us a fitted sheet and 4 pillow cases. It being 9:30 pm at this point, we called the front desk again hoping just to receive a blanket for covers. We never got extra towels or pillows. When taking a shower, the water pressure was that of a light mist. Absolutely impossible to wash my hair. The service could have been slightly more accommodating after the room switch, knowing there would be 4 guests in 1 room. But there was not. Pretty disappointed in the Aloft Raleigh.”

“Our room had 2 beds a small kitchen area with a microwave, a coffee pot, a fridg, plates and silverware. Bring your own filters. I left mine for the next guests. It was an efficiency. There was a table we could use. We had a few roaches come in. Housekeeping came quickly and sprayed. The pool was clean and the indoor hot tub was clean and toasty! It was a great place to stay while we explored towns to make our big move. We did end up buying a lot there. Great people and everything I love, Brunswick Plantation has all I need! Take advantage of the fresh seafood within minutes in Calabash or Little River, SC Beaches are within 20 minutes! Holden beach has pay to park with a QR code to set up a card payment. Its free before 9 am and after 5 pm. Sunset beach and Ocean Isle have free limited parking. Enjoy!”

One of the workers saw and immediately came to our aid he got Mom in safely as well as all of our luggage. I was impressed it was beautifully decorated. The front desk staff was exceptional. My housekeeper was so nice she had the biggest smile ever! I highly recommend.”

”We've stayed at a number of properties on Carolina Beach and honestly, this is the best experience we've ever had. From the moment we checked in, the staff was courteous and attentive. Getting into our room was a breeze and, once inside, we were extremely happy with the state of the room. Clean, quaint, and with a great view. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was a nice added bonus. The easy access to the beach was also a huge plus for us. Add in a pool and we were sold! We will definitely be back at this property, we couldn't recommend it enough!”

”Loved our 4 night stay. The yurts are well appointed...very comfortable and furnished with everything you need. Very close proximity to the State Forest and visitor center. Very restful. Really enjoyed the back deck with the gas grill, zero gravity lounge chairs and table with chairs....we ate many of our meals and especially morning coffee there. The fire pit ( Solo Stove) is excellent and the firewood was well seasoned to burn well and completely. We spent our 42nd anniversary here and will be back.”

”Was probably the nicest and most well thought out campground we've ever been to (I've been to quite a few- have been camping since I was a kid). The layout, the extremely unique rental units, the extremely clean bathrooms and showers, the front office store, activities, etc. They put attention to every aspect. Will be going back again in the summer to enjoy the pool and tons of summer activities!”

”Updated our review. We tried to go back on our last day to let the kids use the arcade one more time and use the tickets they saved from the first trip. They wanted to charge us $10 a head or $70 to just pack to go into the arcade. Our kids were so upset because we told them weren't paying that to just go into the arcade where we had just spent 300 the day before on 4 kids playing games which I'm sur ewe would have spent again. We won't be going back. Enjoyed the arcade with our kids. Would love a paid window to pay. Done games were 8 credits and our credits didn't go very far.”

”My favorite place to stay when visiting North Carolina. I have stayed at multiple cabins at this location and highly recommend them all. The location is beautiful and relatively easy to get to. The cabins are cozy, well decorated, and very calming; everything you need for a perfect winter or summer retreat. We enjoy the activities in the surrounding area, especially white water rafting, hiking, and ATV tours. Will be booking yet another vacation here in the near future. A few things to be aware of. Be mindful that jeeps with 4-wheel drive work best to get to cabins at higher elevations on the property. Also, the local area is economically very diverse with a mixture of high- and low-end establishments; the economy is still suffering in some areas so you will see some closed businesses when traveling through the mountain passes.”

”Older but clean and cared for property. Rooms are updated and overall taken care of. Huge suites, especially 1 bedroom setup. Good for the price especially as the area is becoming more populous. Kitchen suite was well equipped and appeared to be in working condition including a newer dishwasher. No complaints, and a good exhibit of how older IHG properties should be managed and ran. Note that there is some weekday construction with a bit of noise currently next door, but should be finished in upcoming months. Wasn't a bother to us even with window facing directly though.”

”This is the second year in a row we’ve stayed at the Anchor Inn. We come to Oak Island for the marathon and you can’t beat the location or the price! The rooms are clean and have everything you need with a cute nautical theme. Last year we even got joining rooms for my MIL and son to stay in. It’s a few minute walk to the beach and about 10 mins walk to the start of the Oak Island marathon/half marathon/10k/5k. You absolutely can’t beat this place.”
