Best Western Mountainbrook Inn

( 8 reviews )

3811 Soco Rd #19, Maggie Valley, NC 28751, United States

“Very nice hotel that was in the middle of town. We stayed for three days and the room had good accomodations. The breakfast was good with eggs, sausage, gravy, and pancakes with strawberry sauce. There were rocking chairs outside of the room which I thought was a nice touch, but it was too cold to be outside in the rocking chairs.”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville. We arrived late but were greeted with a friendly smile. The room was spacious and had been very well cleaned. Parking is plentiful and very convenient to the Inn. The business center is also very helpful. We appreciate the variety of breakfast options which are always complementary at Hampton. It is nice to have a hot breakfast without having to search for a place.”

Cherokee Mountain Cabins
4.8
( 8 reviews )

61 Bear Creek Rd, Topton, NC 28781, United States

”My favorite place to stay when visiting North Carolina. I have stayed at multiple cabins at this location and highly recommend them all. The location is beautiful and relatively easy to get to. The cabins are cozy, well decorated, and very calming; everything you need for a perfect winter or summer retreat. We enjoy the activities in the surrounding area, especially white water rafting, hiking, and ATV tours. Will be booking yet another vacation here in the near future. A few things to be aware of. Be mindful that jeeps with 4-wheel drive work best to get to cabins at higher elevations on the property. Also, the local area is economically very diverse with a mixture of high- and low-end establishments; the economy is still suffering in some areas so you will see some closed businesses when traveling through the mountain passes.”

Route 19 Inn
4.8
( 16 reviews )

4898 Soco Rd, Maggie Valley, NC 28751, United States

”My wife and I spent the night here for a quick little getaway. Had been here before when it was named something else. Lots better than before. The owners invested a lot more into the property. Many improvements; the rooms, the grounds, etc. That night, they had a small band playing music and singing by the pool under their gazebo. Really good we thought. Will probably stay there again when we come back through. Oh yeah, price wasn't bad either. Thanks again.”

Sleep Inn Airport

Hickory Nut Falls Family Campground
4.5
( 8 reviews )

639 Main St, Chimney Rock, NC 28720, United States

”Located just past the hubbub of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure, Hickory Nuts Falls is a great spot to call home for a weekend. We went in early November, so most of the Fall colors had made their appearance. This is a pretty small family-owned campground with pretty tightly packed spaces, but we never felt cramped because we got the back spot (the bear spot according to the owner). The road circling around to the backside spots is a little sketchy in spots, so if you've got a low car just...drive carefully. This place has got the feel of like...a time share for sheds. The covered camping platform was nice even if it was rickety and bared-wired. Great to have electricity for a few essentials, but you can still ignore all that and have a more primitive experience (and still have your tent covered from the worst of it). Just make sure you've got a good pad. If you're going full electric, bring a few cords and power strips so you can take advantage. They've got bathrooms, showers, and firewood on-site, so you'll be comfortable here for a whole weekend (or more). Staff (owner) was great, said they lived just down the road and could get in touch with them if we needed. I'll take a look next time I'm in the area - great value and experience just off the main drag.”

They make sure you have everything you need for a great stay. We had no issues whatsoever. We definitely plan to book with them again!”

46700 Old Lighthouse Rd, Buxton, NC 27920, United States

”Great location. Stayed here a few days in September and it’s quiet and not busy. The showers are cold, and most don’t work, would of have gave 5 stars but cold showers aren’t my favorite.”

Cherokee Lodge

1593 Acquoni Rd, Cherokee, NC 28719, United States

”Clean room, could use some updating and maintenance. The comforter on our bed had stains from not being washed, house keeping replaced it with a clean one. People staying here with pets need to clean up after them and not leave their mess on the walkways or parking lot”

Thousand Trails Green Mountain
3.8
( 16 reviews )

2495 Dimmette Rd, Lenoir, NC 28645, United States

”We received a trial Thousand Trails membership with the purchase of our camper. This particular CG is very large but very packed. You are literally on top of your neighbor. Check in was very easy and staff are very nice. The one open pool was 1/2 mile away from our site. It was small but nice and clean. The laundry was in that clubhouse building and the machines kept in nice condition. Restrooms had showers there which were also nice and clean. You cannot say that about the other bathhouses. They were quite dirty, disgusting and lacking paper towels half the time and the trash was never emptied. There are a lot of full timers but all were nice and helpful and certainly not wild and crazy like you can find in some parks. We did buy the Internet package because cell service was nil.”

Sandy Point Resort Campgrounds
4
( 8 reviews )

176 Sandy Point Dr, Knotts Island, NC 27950, United States

”Paradise on the water! Rustic tent sites (with elec and spigot) literally on the shore. We spent 4 lovely nights here. Some wildlife, warm bay water to swim in, fishing and clamming and crabbing. No frills, but a great camp store and friendly, helpful folks. There are many long-term residents who value the quiet and calm of an almost-untouched natural place. Some are characters, all are amiable. The weather was a little rough but bearable. The area is pretty and the markets are wonderful !”
