Smith Creek Park
4.8
( 8 reviews )

633 Shenandoah St, Wilmington, NC 28411, United States

“This park was refreshing find. I've lived here for 32 years and never know it was there. It is tucked back in a residential area all by itself. It's a beautiful lake, clean. filled with trees all around it, a big walking past, a playground, one shelter that is first come first serve, of kayak canoe ramp that you can use to drive up to drop off your boats, green grass and a convenient parking lot. It was beautiful and the perfect place for us to let the little buddies learn how to kayak. Very grateful that there was the planning to save this sweet area for the community.”

John Chavis Memorial Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

505 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27601, United States

“Very nice park with pretty good playground area for kids. Splash pad is decent but not that great, there are others which are pretty good than this splash pad. They have gym center, walking track and carousel as well but check on timings. Lot of parking on front and even on back right next to kids playground. Seems lot of summer activities as well if needed. Play area is in shade by evening which is good but still rides were hot. Lot of benches to sit, restrooms to use and overall a great place.”

Forest Ridge Park

2100 Old North Carolina 98 Hwy, Wake Forest, NC 27587, United States

“What a pretty and quiet place to enjoy nature. Plenty of walking trails, some with lake views, benches along the way, trails are well maintained and easy. The parking lot is big with a visitor center and bathrooms. The park is dog friendly and free. Lake is beautiful.”

Halyburton Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )
Open until 05:00 PM

4099 S 17th St, Wilmington, NC 28412, United States

“The bathrooms are not open 7 days a week. Very inconvenient as adults and even more so with kids. Thus the reason for two stars. The playground is small, not the park to visit for playground use compared to others in the area. The bridge on the playground is sketchy. The paved, shaded walkway and cross city trail connection earned all the stars here. Great park to walk, run, or bike.”

Keeley Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

4100 Keeley Rd, McLeansville, NC 27301, United States

“Keeley Park is one of the nicer parks in Greensboro, it’s on the edge of Greensboro and Mcleansville. There are walking paths, disc golf, splash zone, bike trails, community gardening, small lakes for fishing and a really nice playground for the kids. Some parts of the walking paths are shaded, so it’s a nice place to walk the dogs on a hot summer day. I’m happy to have this so close to our house.”

Anderson Point Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

20 Anderson Point Dr, Raleigh, NC 27610, United States

”Came here for a graduation cookout and I was truly surprised. It an absolutely huge space to host an outdoor event with family and friends. It’s off by itself but not to far that if you need assistance that it would take to long so I loved that. It has a nice play area for kids, a nice bike/hike trail for bikers, runners, and walkers. It’s a nice area for a date or picnic 😊. I think you’d be very pleased to visit this outdoor space .”

Jack Smith Park

Apex Nature Park
4.7
( 10 reviews )

2600 Evans Rd, Apex, NC 27502, United States

”Walked at Apex Nature Park today. Overall, it’s a beautiful park with some cool things, like tennis courts, soccer field, picket-ball courts, playground. Lots of disc players, so there are signs posted to be aware of flying discs when walking towards the playground from the upper parking lot. We walked on Pine Loop which is only 0.6 miles, and it has some shaded areas and some open areas along the trail. You are also able to access Holly Trail (0.7 miles) from Pine Loop. Pine Loop begins by the soccer field. Holly Trail exits at the upper parking lot, closest to the dog park. The park is dog-friendly. We went today, after a whole day of rain yesterday, and many spots on Pine Loop were flooded. I don’t recommend going after a rainy day if you are planning to explore the trails. Otherwise, it’s a beautiful park!”

Linville Falls Campground Rv Park & Cabins
4.7
( 8 reviews )

717 Gurney Franklin Rd, Linville Falls, NC 28647, United States

”This campground was maybe my favorite I've ever been to. We were greeted upon arrival by the host and there is a general store with anything you might need at the last minute. Our tent site was spacious and a nice distance from other campers. It felt private and we had a beautiful view of the forest. The bathrooms were so clean and a short walk from our site. There was also a sink with provided cleaning supplies for doing dishes. We were less than 15 minutes away from good hiking. We only got to stay one night but we could have easily enjoyed camping there for a longer period of time!”
