“Stayed 2 nights while our trailer was being repaired. Lobby was decorated for Christmas with the most decorations I've ever seen in a hotel lobby & it looked fabulous! Very warm & welcoming! Staff was super helpful & friendly. Breakfast was free & had so much to choose from! Room was really nice & cleaning crew was super ! We definitely enjoyed our stay & will be coming back! 5 stars!”

“My wife and I stayed in a suite with a single king bed. The room was wonderful. Specifically, it was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable (not too hard). The layout of the room was nice as we didn't come close to feeling crowded. There's a small kitchen area, sitting area with a couch, and a desk with comfortable office chair. The service was friendly and when we arrived there was a signed card with a goody basket wishing us a happy anniversary. I definitely recommend staying here.”

“We first stayed at the Arrowhead Inn on our Wedding night and had not been back since. We were celebrating my wives high school reunion and decided to revisit the place. This time we went for the Lipscomb room, which is the original master bedroom for the house. We also had enough time to see the spectacular grounds. All in all it was a wonderful weekend, being pampered in style. The food was quite good and the room was magnificent. Our only complaint was the height of the bed. My wife is rather short so getting in and out was a challenge.”

”Rooms, staff, service were all 5 star! We had a family get-together with folks from all over. Everyone was impressed with the rooms, the cleanliness, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff (for ex, Amanda, Ashley, all others). If you are physically fit, the location is walkable to charming shops and restaurants. Nice breakfast is included. Cookies, hot chocolate, coffee were always available. Hotel has indoor pool and fitness room. We loved our stay!”

”We booked a double queen bed room. We were checked in and given key cards that didn’t work. When we informed the front desk, she tried to open the room herself, however even the master key would not open the lock. So she told us our only other option is the have a king with pull out couch. When we got to our room, they told us we would have to make the bed ourselves because housekeeping had already left for the day. We left to get dinner and by the time we returned we still did not have any sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. When they finally brought some, they only brought us a fitted sheet and 4 pillow cases. It being 9:30 pm at this point, we called the front desk again hoping just to receive a blanket for covers. We never got extra towels or pillows. When taking a shower, the water pressure was that of a light mist. Absolutely impossible to wash my hair. The service could have been slightly more accommodating after the room switch, knowing there would be 4 guests in 1 room. But there was not. Pretty disappointed in the Aloft Raleigh.”

Similar to other reviews, the room wasn't 'dirty' persay, but just needed some extra attention to detail (there were still streamers and decorations from the previous party hanging from the walls - hard to miss that; but again, not dirty). The shower was amazing, highly needed after some travel. Black out curtains worked great, although leaf removal started at 7am (blah).”

”I loved this hotel. The staff was super friendly and had answers to all of our questions. The room (Swayze Suite) had everything we needed, a kitchenette, living room, bedroom, full bathroom, and even a tub room. I did not have time to try it, but it looked amazing. Big enough to swim in almost. They had breakfast every morning, it was pretty standard continental breakfast choices. The hotel is decorated everywhere with antiques and oil paintings. I could have spent another day just exploring more of the hotel. The area is beautiful, even though the lake was undergoing "maintenance".”

”Had a great stay while trying to visit App state. This is the only hotel on King St, and it’s very walkable to anything downtown - restaurants, shops, coffee. Breakfast in the am and drinks in the pm available on the main floor. Parking is truly one block away. It was easy to unload and check in, then go park the car. Accessing the car on the trip was not hard at all. We will definitely come back to Horton when we visit Boone.”

”When I try to get into the hotel, the automatic door did not open. Eventually got in with someone's help. There was no one at the reception area. I had to walk around to FIND a receptionist for check in. This person named, "DONNA" working night shift had a serious attitude problem. She obviously does not want to be there. Why does the management let her ruin guest experiences? She should not work anywhere near hospitality industry. I would not go back to this hotel, and neither should you.”

”Everything was wonderful from the service we received from the woman working on the evening of Dec 8th to the morning when we checked out. The customer service was such a delightful experience. You just don’t get service like this anywhere. It was our first time travelling with a pet so I was nervous that the room wouldn’t be clean. It was very clean. Cleaner than hotels that don’t accept pets. Kudos to the management! We travel back and forth to Florida often.
