“We have been regulars at hatch for a long time, but recently we haven’t been happy with the quantity of food that’s being provided for the price. For $13.00 we received a sandwich with literally two slices of turkey on it. For $46 dollars for 3 sandwiches and 2 orders of sweet potato fries. Each box of fries has about 8 to 10 fries in it? The sandwiches have gotten smaller and prices continue to rise. I understand that the price of food has gone up, but to make people pay almost $50 for 3 sandwiches and for each of them to have 2 to 3 slices of paper thin meat on them is unacceptable. Not to even mention the fact that the thanksgiving sandwich had almost no cranberry on it. Maybe 2 cranberries total? If that’s what it costs for you guys to turn a profit and pay your staff, you don’t have a business model. In previous reviews others have complained about similar issues, the quantity of food seems like it’s decreasing while the price of the food continues to go up. In other reviews you’ve rebutted that your standard protocol is on average 4 and some even maxing out at around 8 ounces per sandwich. I’ve uploaded an image refuting this claim. I should have taken images of the other two sandwiches as well, all 3 sandwiches had around 3 slices of deli meat max on them. Even before I opened the sandwiches I noticed they were on the smaller side. Much thinner than they used to be. We used to be able to justify the price because the quality and quantity was fair. I don’t feel we can justify spending $50 on lunch anymore I’ve noticed a growing a trend in a lot of establishments downtown where this same pattern is being repeated. The quantity is decreasing, the price is increasing. This growing trend is going to need to stop if businesses expect to retain their loyal customer base. I understand how difficult it is to run a small business, I understand the price of things have increased dramatically. Businesses are going to have to acknowledge that increasing costs, while decreasing quantity is not going to keep people around. You can’t have it both ways, people feel taken advantage of.”

“I was looking to pick up something to have in the room since many businesses will be closed tomorrow in observance of Thanksgiving. I saw Charlie's and picked up a Mediterranean salad. I tried a little when I got back to the hotel, and it was pretty good. The indoor seating looked very nice. The staff was nice too with big smiles upon their faces. I noticed there are lunch specials every day of the week except Sundays. If you are in the Wake Forest area, stop by Charlie's Kabob Grill to try some excellent Mediterranean Food!”

”My 3 year old daughter worked very hard on her “Good Behavior Sticker Chart” and earned her special ice cream for completing the whole chart. She was so incredibly excited to get her ice cream. She brought her chart up to the counter and showed the lady at the register while asking for her ice cream. The lady was very kind and responsive. She enthusiastically congratulated and encouraged my daughter while putting her order in for her special ice cream. The ice cream was very good and we had a great time eating it there as a family. All of the staff that served us were smiling and very helpful.”

”Ketchie Creek is awesome. As of this posting their health department score is 100 - very impressive. Their facility reflected that rated. It was very well kept during our visit. Not only do they offer a variety of coffees, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, cakes, and pastries, they have a deli section and many different gifts. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. Sign on the door says the deli closes at 4 on Saturday’s. The coffee menu shows that they offer oat and almond milk for nondairy milk options. I inquired about nondairy dessert options and the attendant was very knowledgeable and kind. I had the frosted brownie for this and was very pleased with it. This is a wonderful bakery Mocksville has to offer.”

The Lamb and Beef Gyros were just what the Dr ordered. With the cool and crispness of lettuce, tomatoes, green onions, and a homemade tzatziki sauce on a fluffy gyro with both lamb and beef for some added protein. We couldn't have chosen a better option. The homemade Greek protein bar (Baklava) was a cut above and a very pleasant treat. Padded booth seating and chairs abounded. The area was bright, well lit, extremely comfortable, and welcoming.
