“Stayed 2 nights while our trailer was being repaired. Lobby was decorated for Christmas with the most decorations I've ever seen in a hotel lobby & it looked fabulous! Very warm & welcoming! Staff was super helpful & friendly. Breakfast was free & had so much to choose from! Room was really nice & cleaning crew was super ! We definitely enjoyed our stay & will be coming back! 5 stars!”

“This is such a sweet place to stay. This is my first time back in more than 10 years and I must say I was impressed. The mattresses are new and very comfortable. The front desk was super nice! My favorite part is the beautiful creek. The new seating and swings that sit along the back of the hotel, next to the creek, is so peaceful. No noise from the street traffic is a plus. We will definitely go back.”

“We first stayed at the Arrowhead Inn on our Wedding night and had not been back since. We were celebrating my wives high school reunion and decided to revisit the place. This time we went for the Lipscomb room, which is the original master bedroom for the house. We also had enough time to see the spectacular grounds. All in all it was a wonderful weekend, being pampered in style. The food was quite good and the room was magnificent. Our only complaint was the height of the bed. My wife is rather short so getting in and out was a challenge.”

”We booked a Pet Friendly Room for a 1 night stay on our road trip to Atlanta. Room 117 was clean, attractive and quiet. There were safe, well illuminated grassy areas for walking our dog. On arrival, we were given a bag containing water for 2 adults and our pet, a list of pet friendly restaurants and contact info for a local vet. We recommend this facility to other travelers with fur babies.”

”Great stop on the road when traveling with dogs. There is a town dog park next door, which is also very clean and well kept. This may be the most pet friendly hotel I’ve been to. The staff interacted with my dog, gave her treats and toys and there is a station with essentials when going to the dog park. Rooms are updated, beds are comfortable. Very clean, no pet odor. The only negative is road traffic noise from the highway, and toiletries were not filled. Continental breakfast had plenty of options, including health conscious options.”

”Got a wheelchair accessible room. It was very large both the room and the bathroom. Wheelchair accessible shower with a seat that folded out from the wall. Good pillows. Not flat as a piece of paper. Had some substance to them. Great service at the front desk. Breakfast was good. Coffee was good.”

”They are renovating and did not disclose exactly how much! The noise is very loud and we have a newborn. They are renovating even on a Saturday. Started very early and front desk said they will be renovating until 5. Before booking, I'd reccomend calling to see how long they are renovating for, if they are still renovating during your travel go stay somewhere else especially if you want a relaxing weekend. Edit to add: the fire alarms also went off in the morning and the early afternoon. We were aware of the renovations however they did not disclose how much or how loud it truly would be. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend this is not the place to stay while they are doing renovations. 8 am sure is early on a Saturday morning, with a baby that wakes up every 3 to 4 hours to eat. Just wanted to make everyone aware. It might have been a nice place to stay other than the noisy renovations and fire alarms being tripped by construction workers.”

”I did not stay at the Lodge however I attended a Knitting Event there. The Lodge is just down the street from my home, so I pass it every day. I have eaten there many times at the restaurant (great food) and the location is fabulous with fantastic views of our Mountains here in Little Switzerland. The rooms must be great, as I rarely see the place empty. And if the cars are an indication of the clientele I see Porsches, Corvettes, BMW's, and I even saw a Bentley one time. Highly recommend the Big Lynn Lodge as a place to stay when you visit Little Switzerland and Spruce Pine.”

”I loved this hotel. The staff was super friendly and had answers to all of our questions. The room (Swayze Suite) had everything we needed, a kitchenette, living room, bedroom, full bathroom, and even a tub room. I did not have time to try it, but it looked amazing. Big enough to swim in almost. They had breakfast every morning, it was pretty standard continental breakfast choices. The hotel is decorated everywhere with antiques and oil paintings. I could have spent another day just exploring more of the hotel. The area is beautiful, even though the lake was undergoing "maintenance".”

”Hotels are ultimately a people business (as are all businesses), and let me tell ya… this hotel has that down. Best customer service of any hotel. I left my lights on to my car and needed jumper cables. Jason at the front desk and Walter didn’t even hesitate to come help. They jumped my car no questions asked and did it with a smile. Incredible experience. The entire staff was very attentive and kind including the kind lady at night when I arrived.”

”Stayed there a couple nights this past weekend and the front desk staff was awesome I was definitely shock to see the male housekeeper name tag saying Marcus on the phone proceeding to make drug transactions on the work site as well as instructing them to meet him on his floor by his cart. Extremely concerning regarding the status of the hotel chain. Extremely unacceptable! Wouldn’t recommend staying here unless your looking for drugs. Other than the male housekeeper my stay was great. Friendly staff and hot breakfast”

”Had a great stay while trying to visit App state. This is the only hotel on King St, and it’s very walkable to anything downtown - restaurants, shops, coffee. Breakfast in the am and drinks in the pm available on the main floor. Parking is truly one block away. It was easy to unload and check in, then go park the car. Accessing the car on the trip was not hard at all. We will definitely come back to Horton when we visit Boone.”
