“Went tonight for my birthday & they did not disappoint. For appetizers we had the fresh bread & mussels, drinks were teas & a tin can. Entrees we had the duck with pork belly, jasmine rice & mixed veggies & the beef medallions with mushroom risotto, blistered tomatoes & asparagus. Dessert we took tiramisu to-go. Everything was delicious! The server was exceptionally great & attentive. The atmosphere was calm & efficient & the restaurant was clean & seemed to be running drama free. Very relaxing environment with fantastic food & service. Definitely a place worth trying if you haven’t been & worth going back. Thanks!”

The place smelled wonderful upon entering and the rustic look was just fantastic. The food was superb and me and my daughter enjoyed every bite. The onion straws were so dang good. The Philly cheese Omelet was so good and the home fries man were amazing. Even my daughter said the chicken tenders and fries were very good.”

”Dinky’s was an overall “okay” restaurant. The view was amazing and our server was very sweet and attentive. Wouldn’t say the food was anything too spectacular. My pasta lacked flavor and my fiancé said the same for his steak. We still ate the majority of our food and had an overall good experience. Probably won’t be back but not upset that we went.”

”I second all the 5 star reviews. We were greeted by the owner, one of the nicest people we've ever met. She gave us good recommendations and even made us special salsa picante. She came by to check on us multiple times.Thank you. We were served with warm fresh chips and self serve salsa. The food was delicious, huge portions (the tilapia plate can probably serve 2 people) and reasonable price. None of us could finish our food. We also had some cold beer and horchata. All was delicious. We will definitely come back. Super bonus point: bathrooms are very clean. Love love”

I had three flights since I wanted to try a little bit of most of the beers offered. The flights included up to four options with 5 oz pours. I tried the following: 1. Pineapple Cider 2. Are you ready kids (pineapple coconut sour) 3. Doctor Love (Cherry Sour) 4. Bitchin Betty Brown Ale 5. Whole Lotta Rosie (caramel cream coffee Blonde ale) 6. Not your mommy's kitchen 7. Crushin It 8. The ginger avenger (lemon and ginger seltzer) 9. Wheat keep you berry safe 10. Fallback Crutch (West Coast IPA) 11. Bang bang (Hazy IPA) 12. Strawberry Rhubarb Cider Most of these were good and I would recommend them. There was a Charlotte FC match going on when i visited - It seems Charlotte FC/soccer fans gather here when Charlotte FC are playing away matches. It's definitely a brewery I would visit again if I'm in the area.”

”(4.5 stars) Angry Troll is essentially Foothills in the actual foothills in that it’s a spacious brewpub offering a solid lineup of taps and better-than-average bar food. It’s housed in a historic brick building with plenty of room. Despite the size, Angry Troll does keep busy, especially on game days, which can lead to a (thankfully not unreasonable) wait. The menu here is about what you’d expect: fried apps, wings, nachos, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pizzas. Add to that eight in-house beers (plus others available in bottles/cans), and you’ll likely find something that you like. Our personable and hard-working server, Virginia, was kind enough to offer a few suggestions. It is in the quality of the food where Angry Troll stands apart. Fried pickles were cut into thin chips perfect for dipping. A BBQ chicken sandwich offered tender meat, lots of cheese, crispy bacon, and a slathering of aptly-named Sweet Heat sauce. It was a beast to eat, but it was worth every messy bite. My wife opted for a Southern Comfort burger featuring local beef, house-made pimento, and an onion ring, and it too proved tasty and satisfying. Prices are moderate (burgers and sandwiches clock in at $9-$10 without sides), and the ambiance is casual. It’s a lively atmosphere with TVs everywhere, but it doesn’t get headache-inducingly loud. All told, Angry Troll delivers well-executed food in a laid-back setting. It’s well worth a stop if you’re out Elkin way.”

”Checked High Park Bar & Grill on a Saturday evening during college football. The bar side and outdoor patio were packed. We were immediately seated in the dining room. Greeted by an awesome waitress. We asked what her favorite things on the menu were. She gave us a great run down, with an extensive knowledge of their large menu choices. The beef tips over mashed potatoes were excellent! Our dinner salads were incredibly fresh and equally delicious. Wife order the four-choice veggie plate. Our whole dinner was delicious. Not your ordinary bar food. The place is huge, and the bar top is huge. TVs scattered throughout the bar and dining areas. A couple of dart boards and video games as well. Would love to sample their wings. A definite return to restaurant.”

When the wind whipped we felt a tad of rain due to design but we did it for the canine. My buddy got grilled cheese (comes with some tomato soup for dipping?) And I got the Cuban. Cuban was good. We split some Bee Sting Wings. They were good but could've used a little more spicy heat. Good nonetheless. The viewing platform up top reveals an amazing view of Charlotte skyline. The young lady running the bar and taking our orders was fantastic.”

”Came here with some friends to play music bingo and had a fun night! Service is good too! The inside is small and there is a little area outside with seating too. The first thing I noticed when I entered was the smell. It stinks when you walk in, but your nose will adjust after a few minutes. They don’t serve food but they have a surprisingly large variety of snacks you can purchase. You’re free to bring in outside food too. If you start a tab they hold onto your card, so don’t forget to close out and get your card before you leave! Kid friendly and lots of games available to play. There is parking in front but if it’s full you can park in the retail area of the apartment complex parking deck located across the drive.”
