“Gorgeous course I wish I could play. Was there for the LPGA PGA Championship. For a LPGA major I was disappointed. There was a lack of food and beverage locations available for patrons. They were few and FAR away. I work the Mitsubishi Electric @ TPC Sugarloaf each year and the differences are night and day. The 2021 LPGA Championship related gear covered maybe a rack and a half in the tiny pro shop. Food was outrageous, beer required a second mortgage. Burger was $15 and a beer was $14 for a $29 lunch. Water was $6.”

I didn’t eat at the restaurant/snack bar, but it looked really nice and there were a lot of patrons there. The course is well maintained and the golf carts worked properly which is always a plus. ”Played course on September 9th, 2023. What an outstanding course to play. The rates are surprising not as much as they could be. From the start, they had very friendly staff inside the pro shop. The course is in great condition from the tee boxes, fairways, and greens. The greens rolls fast and are consistent throughout the course. The bunkers could use some more sand. Great challenges on the greens and a lot of elevation 6 as well. The course makes you think and you can't over power it. The practice facilities are also up to Par. The pro shop sells hot dogs for only $2! Highly recommend this course to everyone. I'll be back for sure.”

Tricky layout and undulating greens added a good degree of challenge for this course. Although it is nestled in a neighborhood, I didn’t feel like I was playing in someone’s backyard. Staff was very courteous and helpful making the afternoon a delight.”

”Entrance was a little difficult to find but not bad! The lady at the cafe/desk was very nice and even helped me look at a couple of drivers to choose, as I needed one. Not too pricey and they have pool and ping pong plus tables to eat in addition to the driving bays. Would come again!”

”Cheap course, if that’s what you’re looking for. And you get what you pay for…Poor quality tees and greens. Overgrown fairways, to where I’ve lost balls in the fairway grass. Crowded and very slow pace of play if you come at peak hours. And at times you’ll have random people playing without even having a tee time. Aside from that, the staff are always super friendly and accommodating.”

”Played in a charity golf tournament yesterday. Course was in very good shape. Greens had been aerated but were in very good shape. Putted Very nice and smooth. Rest of the course was in good shape. They were doing some reconstruction on atee box and a couple of sand traps. Otherwise the course was in very good shape.”

”White Oak - Old Course - 5 stars for 3 reasons: 1. The greens were the best I’ve played this year. 2. The round was 3:15 - wow. 3. Everyone else came in contact with was friendly. So, the course wasn’t in perfect shape but it was really, really good. A few tee boxes were over-seeded and shaggy and they do have several ant mounds on the course but nothing that detracted from the day. Every bunker had good sand, the greens were consistent (and great), the course was well maintained and the on-course restrooms were clean. This is my first time playing the old course and I quite enjoyed the round. I think the course is fair but challenging in that you do have to be in the right position off of most tees or you will be penalized. The course isn’t tight but they have lots of trees. The staff was very warm and friendly as were the members I interacted with as well. Really enjoyed the whole experience.”

”Really enjoyable round today. Massive improvements to the course since I was here 2 months ago. If you read any other reviews from more than a month prior to this one, disregard them as they are very outdated. Bunkers were completely redone with beautiful, white sand. You can also see where sod has been laid where the Georgia clay had started to come through. Tee boxes were in good shape, and most of the greens were solid. Love how receptive they are to approach shots! There were 1 or 2 greens that looked to be suffering from a fungus and a few trees need to be trimmed back (especially hole 10), but by and large it is in good shape and the owner appears to have the initiative to make it even better. Which is great because it one of the most unique public courses around metro-Atlanta imo. So many holes really make you think twice about how you want to play them. Random notes: - pretty decent grass driving range + putting/chipping area - nice clubhouse with drink and food options - cart girl was nice and had plenty of options - the turn is actually after hole 10, so keep that in mind! - pace of play was a tad slow, but my foursome still finished in under 5 hours. It was also a Saturday morning tee time with picture perfect weather. Definitely worth the price of admission and when I'm back around Hiram, I'll definitely be booking a tee time. Keep up the great work!”

”Played this place earlier this year when ownership was being transfer and it was in rough shape. you can tell that the new owners have been putting in a ton of money on the right things to make it better! new Bermuda greens were rolling fast and have grown in nicely, by next summer they should be pure. they are making moves to rescue some of the hardpack tee boxes and bad fairway areas. worth playing for the fun routing of this course and i cant wait to see how the conditions progress”
