“Not worth the detour from I-20 but if you are in the area a surprisingly well stocked liquor store. Good selection of mainstream spirits from dirt cheap to elevated, but not too many fancy bottles. You can find an astounding variety of Vodka, Tequila, and Whiskey. Scotch, Irish, Japanese, Canadian, plus Rye and Bourbon all at good prices and a few at a bargain. (Credit card is the same price as cash) Craft beer selection was as underwhelming as the selection of Vermouth, Port, and Sherry and after some searching, I eventually asked for Armagnac, Cachaca, and Calvados. Armagnac was out of stock and they didn't have the others in their system. 4 stars taking the small city into account.”

“Tried this place out for the first time and was not impressed at all. The mac and cheese was swimming in soup and wasn’t very flavorful, the collard greens tasted (and looked) like they’d come out of a can and the green beans tasted like school cafeteria green beans. The only thing that was good was the rice and gravy. The service was friendly but I can’t eat friendly service so…I won’t be back.”

“I hunt BBQ around the US while traveling as a service technician. When it comes to southeastern BBQ, these guys are at the top of my list, next to Archibald's BBQ in Tuscaloosa. The Georgia style (mustard based) bbq sauce is very good. Nice and balanced flavor. If you get their tomato based sauce, mix in a lot of their hot bbq sauce, as the regular sauce is overly sweet (in my opinion) Their pork is outstanding. The pulled pork specifically was great. A lot of pork I get east of the Mississippi river is just too wet and mushy. This place does not do that. Their pork has juice when you bite into it, but doesn't feel sopping wet when you first touch your tongue with it. The ribs tasted really good. Wish they had a little more bite and bark, but they were definitely moist and had flavor. Many places rely too much on their sauce to cover up the lack of flavor. I could eat this without the sauce. The Mac was very good, had some spice to it and it definitely didn't seem like it was store bought. Many places give you KFC style Mac that was obviously bought in bulk premade. I gave the food a 4 out of 5 because the chicken was lacking imo and I'm not the biggest fan of kielbasa style sausage as it's basically like a cooked hot dog. By no means is it bad, I've just become more critical as I have had more bbq around the country. If they give you a little more skin with the chicken, maybe a little more seasoning, and bigger chunks, and if they change out the sausage for a more American style sausage, I would easily give this place a 5. The place is very small with about 8 little 2 person tables scattered inside. They have a small outdoor patio with room for about 8 more people. Nothing crazy about the atmosphere, just a hole in the wall bbq place with really good bbq on disposable white plate. 3 out of 5. If you want atmosphere, you gotta go to Archibald's in Tuscaloosa or any bbq place in texas for that "bbq pulled from the pit" experience. I was going to give the service a 3 out of 5 as i just talked to the cashier who was behind a plastic wall and he emotionlessly asked what I wanted. but I bumped it to a 4 because it came out lightning fast. I probably waited for 2 mins max when he quickly held his arm out with my food on a disposable plate. This place doesn't need the atmosphere nor extremely charismatic staff if you're just looking for quick bbq. They do good pork bbq. Nothing more, nothing less.”

”Convenient location with easy access by MARTA and plenty of parking if you decide to drive. The food is premade so you can walk up to the hot bar and select your entree and sides. They have a broad range of options with some rotating daily. I ordered the pork chop meal (which came with two) candied yams and broccoli. The pork chops tasted great, but were as tough as leather. Grab a knife and proceed, because it's worth it. The sides were cooked perfectly and were well seasoned. The mini cornbread loaf was the perfect compliment to the meal. The lines can be long on Sundays, so come prepared to wait. The wait was an hour on my visit. The ladies working behind the counter were super pleasant and had patience while I figured out what I wanted. There is plenty of seating should you decide to dine in. There wasn't any table service, which in my opinion was not a bad thing.”

”Stopped in yesterday on a road trip back home to Florida. We packed 11 hungry bodies into this place on a Friday afternoon and they did not skip a beat. Got tables put together, menus out and drinks on the table within 3 minutes. I wish I could remember our servers name because she was the absolute sweetest with all of the kids. The ribs, chicken and strawberry cake were all awesome. Only lost a star for the Brisket as it still had quite a bit of hard deco fat that was not trimmed off before cooking. If we are ever in the neighborhood again I will definitely stop by to try some more of their menu.”

”Honestly, Dixie Q is THE BEST BBQ you’ll have anywhere, and my new favorite BBQ in the entire southeast!!! My favorite is the Brisket Grilled Cheese(mouthwatering), Baked Mac, Brussel Sprouts, and Cornbread. I also really love the Pulled Pork sandwiches, and their BBQ sauce is top notch!! When I order I asked for extra fries and say charge me for it. The fries in this picture were not extra fries and I was told by a dismissive Employee..that is the portion that they have always given. That is not true, because anybody who has frequented the red crawfish in Loganville on Highway 78 knows that they would give a large brown container of fries filled to the brim . ”Upon entering this location the smell of good ol smoked ribs just smacks yah right in the face. Haven't had Dickeyes in years and decided to give it a shot. I got the rib plate which consisted of 6 bones, 2 sides, and a dinner roll, a drink is NOT included in the meal. The ribs were ok along with the fresh out of the oil fries! However, the ribs were about room temperature and were not hot at all which wasn't the norm at other locations so I was a little disappointed about that. I didn't want to make a fuss about it. To continue, from a customer's view.... behind the counter is 😳😳😳, ill let yall figure that part out. But it was a turn off and it actually did make me question whether or not if I actually wanted to eat my meal and what was the DPH score. I hope you guys have a moment and really go over some things behind the counter, especially the ceiling and floor. Sometimes it takes reviews like this to make a business take action. I wish this location the best and hope you guys thrive in business but unfortunately I will not be back. Take care....... Response to the owner, everything I've mentioned in the initial review is the problem. The cleanliness is a complete turn off. The food served needs to be higher than room temp, things like that. I hope you guys take these things into consideration.”

”Our first time for lunch at Tom Henry's BBQ and we were not disappointed! It wasn't too busy, and the staff was polite and friendly. I had the pulled pork platter. The fried okra was great - crispy and hot. The apple baked beans were delicious and the pork was tender and juicy. All the sauces were very good too, especially the vinegar sauce. Thursday is brisket day and that was very good too. It's a cute place, and quiet, so maybe it could use a little music during the lunch hour.”
