My job has relocated me back home to GA from Colorado and this crew made it seamless! Always answers the phone and responds to maintenance requests. During my walk through we noticed I did not have a washer and dryer. Myia put the request in and made sure I had one the next day before the office closed before the holidays. Very neat and clean community and the clubhouse is amazing. Family came over for the first time and felt like they were at a “resort”! ”Stay away! Ascent falls extremely short of anything that can be considered “luxury”. Long post ahead, but I promise this is authentic and genuine. Read subsections below to your liking. “5/5” reviews are false advertising from those who just toured and new tenants. Worth the read if you are at all considering moving into this place. Trying to pay it back, so others do not make my mistake and move here. Also, see pictures attached for validation. Leasing Office: Unless you are on-site good luck getting them to pick up the phone. Do not waste your time with the “call center” and asking them to provide a call back. You are wasting your time. Your best bet is to call the ascent doorman and ask them to directly have you speak with someone in the leasing office. Even then, it took over 4-5 days when I moved out for anyone to speak to me. Understaffed, not a coincidence. During my one year, there were multiple different managers. It is a mess there. They also charged me $155 for cleaning and and $137 for paint after my lease. My apartment was left in excellent condition. Was told those are “standard” fees applied to each resident, but there is no where on the lease that states that. You can understandingly be charged for “above normal wear”, per section 49 under the move-out section of the lease, but the accounts receivable department will not bother to actually care/look into matters (provided my move-in form and several pictures of the condition at move-out- still do not care, it is a joke). Tenants: The building OFTEN smells like marijuana. To some that may not be a problem, but I find it annoying since I do not smoke. The central air system has ducts right by the front door of your unit, and it connects to several other apartments, so if someone is smoking even on another floor, you will be smelling it. Ascent does NOTHING to enforce smoking except sending out their weekly email reminders of their no smoking policy. Folks leave their dogs on balconies that bark incessantly. Also some use the stairwell and garage as a place to let their dogs relieve themselves (pictured for your liking). Others often choose to be lazy and use the common trash chute area as their own receptacles as opposed to just throwing it down the chute. Pool: Not uncommon to have chaperoned or unchaperoned kids running and screaming. Was pretty shocking honestly. The lounge chairs by the pool are really not comfortable, The “cabanas” and communal seating pads are incredibly disgusting with stains and internal filling coming out seams/holes in the cushions themselves. Would not put my own towel on them to sit/lay. Do not mind the COCKROACHES that come during the warm months to the pool deck, particularly at night. Wish I was kidding about that. Elevator: There are 3 elevators (1 of which is the freight elevator). Frequently, there are issues with an elevator being broken, and because the freight elevator is often reserved for moving, there is 1 elevator for the entire building. Weight times can be exhausting. Parking: Do not for a second believe there is real secured parking here. The parking garage door was literally broken for 9-10 out of the 12 months that I was a tenant there, meaning anyone could drive up into the building and park. They say it is monitored, but I assure you it is not. Every day almost there were new cars illegally parked in handicap spots and the space right in front of the door to go from the garage to the elevators to get to your apartment, as well as several other spaces. See pictures for different vehicles as an example. Would love for Ascent to try to refute any of this. Make sure you keep your car locked is all I will say, there are no video cameras to help you. No guest parking, they will have to pay. Look at the post above this from Michelle Y. I promise this is the norm here. Ascent's response to my post is comical. Like Michelle, I've lived in several apartment buildings in Chicago and San Francisco, and have never been charged like that at move-out or have had such a poor experience. STAY AWAY, youve been warned.”

”We have been living here 3 months now. We love the area and the apartments are a good size but kind of poorly built, but we have been disappointed with our experience at the Morgan so far. From the beginning, completing the application was a chore. We were constantly following up with leasing to figure out what they still needed from us and to get documents we needed. The pre move in stuff took about a month to get sorted out, this didn’t really seem worth all that we paid in fees. When we did move in, many outlets didn’t work, we couldn’t get our porch door to lock back after opening it, one closet had a foot of the baseboard cut out for some reason, toilets were weak, drains were clogged, washing machine was dirty and had an old wet sock in it, and something was seeping out of our countertop. The trash situation is bad. The trash room is dirty and smelly and I missed in the tour that it is in the parking garage, I am always afraid of rats or roaches when I am in there and people leave trash in the room without putting it in the chute all the time, we many times cannot reach the chute. It looks like the hallways aren’t cleaned, a roach has been dead in our hallway for a couple of weeks now and the carpet is dirty. The wipes in the gym haven’t been replenished since I’ve been here and the stair master has been broken for months. We are also made to use and pay for fetch so a third party gets our mail which takes longer and they charge you additional to deliver if it’s heavy, otherwise you have to go to Marietta to pick it up. I try to get my packages held at the carrier now. We expect to have to make some requests to maintenance at move in, but we have been making requests since we moved in 3 months ago, often having to make two requests for the same issue because it was either partially done or not done. It doesn’t help that it is a struggle to understand what is going on with maintenance. All you see on the portal is when they update a completion date for the request, meanwhile your request hasn’t been completed. **Parking garage doors were fixed. Most recently, we’ve had ants get all over our apartment. When I came home around lunchtime and noticed ants coming through a crack in our ‘tricky’ porch door and getting all over the place I made a request for pest control. I received a call saying that pest control will come on Wednesday(next day) because that’s the day they always come. I said well are they going to seal up the area where the ants are coming in, and they said I’d have to make another request for that. Pest control came, moved a bunch of stuff around in both our bathrooms and knocked my water pick into the sink, and left business cards. We still have ants in the living room in kitchen, not sure why anyone was in our bathrooms.”
