“Room: The room is ok. The layout is a bit weird, but it works. More lighting would be helpful because, at times, it seems very dim. Bathroom: great bathroom with a rain shower head. No tub. The bathroom was very clean and looked newly remodeled. Linens: they could use some freshening. The bedding looked dingy and almost had a yellow or brown look to them. They smelled clean. The room has a big TV above the desk, which was great. There was a three drawer dresser as well and a closet with hangers. The fridge was large compared to most hotel fridges, and the room also comes with a microwave. My only complaint during the stay would be that I found bugs in the room on two separate days. Once a roach in the shower and then another bug which I had no idea what it was in the closet area. I informed the staff of the bugs, and they did come and clean the room. Overall, this is a decent hotel. Due to the bugs, I wouldn't stay here or recommend it. I know bugs can be a normal thing for hotels, but as someone who travels a lot, this would be the first hotel in 9 weeks that I found a bug in my room.”

“This was my first time camping at Bolding Mill. Since it is a Corp of engineers location, the cost is very low compared to a private campground. The bath house is an older building but was clean and functional. There was also a washer & dryer. The grounds were nice and maintained when i was there in late August. Many of the sites are waterfront and nice sized. The driveway is concrete with a gravel/sand pad where the picnic table and fire ring are. There is also a nice fishing pier, just a short walk from the road. It was nice to go out in the late afternoon for a walk with the pup. There has been a staffing shortage lately, and some campgrounds were closed. Big thanks to those who are caring for these sites so we can enjoy them!!”
