“The original place we intended to go to was having renovations done. This place was suggested. We entered and was greeted warmly I requested a window seat, the host said she like widow seat too. She offered us water. Our waitress came up she was pleasant and patient with us seeing it was our first time. We finally ordered got our meal and everything was good I must say. The steak tips were cooked perfectly chicken parmigiana with risotto was really good. The chicken in the Tuscano can pasta could use a bit more seasoning. I think they should offer the Tuscano wedge with the Gorgonzola dressing on the side. It was a bit overpowering. Other than that simply delicious and filling.”

”Who knew a bowling alley could have such great food? We were skeptical when we were told how good the food is at Barn Bowl & Bistro, but having been there about a dozen times now, we're convinced. They serve up great dishes with consistency and at a reasonable price for the Island. Most recently I had their Brazilian churrasco bbq...where they come to your table with skewers of meat and slice off what you want. At $34.99, it's an awesome deal for some delicious meats. It comes with three sides: rice, a salsa of sorts, and a third dish which I didn't catch the name of but was quite tasty. Currently, they're talking about offering it on Saturdays - maybe Fridays - so call first. And go support them so they continue to serve it up! Other suggestions...the shrimp and sausage pasta is great as are the pizzas. I haven't had the curry but friends have and thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally, I've had the scallops, Bang Bang Cauliflower, SW Chicken Egg Rolls, and the Fried Fishermans Platter - which can serve two. All are good. A lot of folks tout the fried chicken but the night my husband had it, it wasn't well seasoned. And rumor has it there might be better fish and chips elsewhere. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff is awesome and they mix great drinks. All in all, it's an establishment we'll continue to enjoy and support. Oh, and the bowling is great too!”

It's a great place to go during the Christmas holiday, when the fireplace is lit, and Christmas music playing, with a good chocolate martini! ”I've been on a fine dining rampage lately, and when I saw pictures of Field & Vine, it looked promising. As soon as you see the entrance, you can already tell that this is a unique restaurant. The inside is dimly lit, creating an intimate, sophisticated ambiance. The centerpiece is the vines that loop the open bar/kitchen. The plates are tapas, and our server recommended five dishes for two people. - Scallop tostada: The raw scallops were fresh but on the smaller side. The flavors were well balanced, and the crunchy tostada nicely juxtaposed the soft scallops. - Beef tartare: The beef tartare was also fresh, but there wasn't that much for the price. It came with a bowl of house chips, which tasted fine, but the ratio of chips to beef tartare could have been better. - Cheddar scallion cornbread: This is supposedly the crowd favorite. The cornbread was very soft and had a nice flavor, but I don't think it compares to the black sea cornbread from Sarma, which I had eaten recently and is now my standard for cornbread. I liked the miso butter more than the actual cornbread. - Smoked beets: I liked the sweetness of the beets and the crunch of the sunchoke chips. I didn't really taste the almond coffee cream. - Grilled swordfish: This was the main dish and a huge letdown. It was very bland and not worth the price. I would have rather paid for two smaller plates instead. For dessert, we ordered the ice cream sandwich and the lemon verbena panna cotta. I liked both, but the ice cream sandwich was definitely the star of the night. The cocoa nib macaron was crumbly but had a nice bite, and the semifreddo was delicious. I also liked that it came with two, which made it easy to share. Service: This is what made me debate between 3 stars vs. 4. Our server was friendly and frequently checked in on us throughout the night. However, it reached a point where we kept being asked if we were done with our plates, which clearly still had food on them, which made it obvious that we were being rushed. Reservations are booked for 2-hour stays, and we were less than 1.5 hours in at that point and working on our final bites. There were also others around us who had been seated before us and were still eating, but it was too loud to hear if they were getting the same treatment. We were mindful of the time limit and were pacing ourselves accordingly, so it didn't feel great to be rushed like that. Additionally, there is a 20% gratuity that gets automatically added, which didn't sit well because it allows for situations as described above. I always tip, and I don't have any qualms about the kitchen administration fee, as that is becoming the norm, but an automatic gratuity regardless of party size is not common. Overall, Field & Vine didn't meet my expectations, but I do think the interior is special, and I enjoyed the ice cream sandwich so much that I would recommend this place just so others can try that one dish.”

”Excellent BBQ and great service! We ordered the 1/2lb pulled pork and 1/2lb brisket, which came with 2 sides and a corn muffin, and an order of 6 wings. All of the meat was tender, flavorful, and freshly cooked. The wings are massive! We ordered them with sweet chili (my favorite) and BBQ sauce. We got onion rings, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw as sides, everything tasted fresh and homemade. Even the corn muffin was fresh out of the oven and still warm when it got to our table. There were no leftovers - the portions are decent, but everything was just so good that our plates were cleared! We ordered a few corn muffins to go, which were great with coffee the next morning. As we ate, our server (possibly the owner?) checked in routinely, and had conversation with us about the restaurant and the area. Although we were the only customers dining in at the time, we overheard a number of call in and take out orders being placed - some for a few pounds of meat, some calling for just sides – goes to show that everything here is good. It seems like this spot is a favorite among locals, and possibly my new go-to BBQ joint in Worcester.”

”We stopped for dinner at Palio’s Pizzeria. They have a brick oven thin crust pizza that they offer by the slice. We ordered their breadsticks which came stuffed with mozzarella cheese and marinara dipping sauce. We go the Cape Codder pizza and a sausage pizza and both were great! I had the breaded chicken Parmesan with their Ziti noodles. They offer beer and wine. You order from a counter and they bring the food to your table when it’s ready. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were too full for dessert but they do have options to choose from.”

”Stopped here on the way home from a wedding. Waking in, we were greeted immediately by a friendly woman who was kind to our 3 kids and asked us if we wanted to sit inside or out. Choosing to take advantage of the beautiful day we sat outside. The waitstaff was attentive and thorough. We enjoyed the bucatino clam chowder along with the table bread. The kids all enjoyed their kids meals (pizza, mozzarella sticks, butter pasta) and we enjoyed the cod sandwich (with Italian flare) and the gnocchi special. We loved everything and service. If we're back in the area, we definitely will be coming back.”

French Onion soup, which I had read good things about, was the big disappointment. Almost no flavor at all, almost like onion tea? Service was extraordinary, Arthur I believe? Seemed our section needed more staff, but he handled it marvelously. Very friendly if a bit over worked that night.”
