“I live in the western part of the state and have been wanting to come here for years ever since I saw it featured on Phantom Gourmet. The women at the counter greeted us with a smile, took are order and we had subs on the table within minutes. I got a small steak and cheese which is easily a large anywhere else. The sub was loaded with steak, the roll was soft but sturdy enough to hold the mountain of steak. Definitely lived up to the hype BEST steak sub I've ever had. Can't wait to come back.”

“My husband and I went to dinner here with one of our friends who had been here before. We loved the beautiful decor such as the gorgeous chandelier and blue artwork throughout the restaurant. The food was also good! We got the lobster bisque, scallops, potatoes au gratin, and lobster mashed potatoes. We were celebrating two birthdays and they brought out two complimentary dessert platters that were gorgeous! The bananas flambé dessert was delicious and so cute shaped like a heart. It is definitely an expensive restaurant but it is fun for special occasions.”

“This place was an amazing restaurant by far. The service there was impeccable. They were so nice and they did their job very well. I ordered the bolognese and it was big enough for two people. It had an amazing flavor in the shredded cheese on top and the sauce with the pasta made it perfect. It was also a little bit dark to enhance the atmosphere and I thought it was very nice. I cannot wait to come back here because of how good the food is and the restaurant. The only minor problem that I had was that the lava cake that we had for desert didn't have the melted chocolate ganache inside. It just didnt melt but it was still very good. This was an awesome place and I highly recommend it to everyone.”

”Who knew a bowling alley could have such great food? We were skeptical when we were told how good the food is at Barn Bowl & Bistro, but having been there about a dozen times now, we're convinced. They serve up great dishes with consistency and at a reasonable price for the Island. Most recently I had their Brazilian churrasco bbq...where they come to your table with skewers of meat and slice off what you want. At $34.99, it's an awesome deal for some delicious meats. It comes with three sides: rice, a salsa of sorts, and a third dish which I didn't catch the name of but was quite tasty. Currently, they're talking about offering it on Saturdays - maybe Fridays - so call first. And go support them so they continue to serve it up! Other suggestions...the shrimp and sausage pasta is great as are the pizzas. I haven't had the curry but friends have and thoroughly enjoyed it. Personally, I've had the scallops, Bang Bang Cauliflower, SW Chicken Egg Rolls, and the Fried Fishermans Platter - which can serve two. All are good. A lot of folks tout the fried chicken but the night my husband had it, it wasn't well seasoned. And rumor has it there might be better fish and chips elsewhere. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The staff is awesome and they mix great drinks. All in all, it's an establishment we'll continue to enjoy and support. Oh, and the bowling is great too!”

”I had high hopes walking into this restaurant but left with extreme disappointment and a bad taste in my mouth. After admiring its fancy, well-lit atmosphere, excellent architecture, and well-dressed customers, we ordered a “smoked old-fashioned” on the menu and two appetizers, fried pickles and mozzarella sticks. After probing about the chicken broccoli Alfredo, the service staff informed us some people say the sauce is a little on the watery side. Once we received the drinks and apps, I was immediately disappointed in the color and presentation of the old-fashioned. The color was of a watered-down fruit punch and instead of an orange peel, one-half of an orange was in the glass along with a maraschino cherry hiding under the ice instead of a luxardo cherry. It was better than most dive bars old fashioned, but nothing I expected from such a gorgeous place with higher-end prices. We were slightly concerned with the astronomically extensive menu, which had everything under the sun from American to Mexican to Mediterranean and Italian. The restaurant clearly suffers from an identity crisis. The appetizers had minimal visual appeal, and that was only surpassed by the horrible taste of burned overcooked, fried pickles, and undercooked greasy mozzarella sticks in a bed of machine-cut lettuce soaked in fryer grease. Both sauces for the mozzarella sticks and fried picked came in cheap plastic containers, had no flavor, while maintaining the quality of a expired BJ’s wholesale product on sale. The bill was 46$, and it was an expensive lesson I will never learn again. No complaints about the waitress, who was very attentive.”

Atmosphere is fine, comfortable but almost neutral. I liked it. Free parking lot out front. In a strip mall next to a tiny pharmacy. Would totally return.”

”Had an amazing experience here. We walked in on a Sunday afternoon at around 12 noon, and it was all packed, but the staff greeted us warmly and seated us at a tiny table. Soon after some patrons left, they offered to move us to a bigger table by the window, and I really loved this. Coming to the food, it was hearty and comforting. I had the egg breakfast with sausages and baked beans on toast. My bf had the chorizo sausage and eggs with hash brown. Both of us loved our food. Loved my morning cuppa Joe as usual. My bf loved his orange cream beverage as well and said it was refreshing. The entire place was really well maintained and the staff checked in on us from time to time! Would definitely visit again!”

”WOW!!! Move over clam chowder. There is a new soup in town!!! The SEAFOOD STEW was flavorful, hearty, and the star of the show! It had shrimp, scallops, (fake) crab meat, and onions, all mixed in a tomato base stew! We had gotten off the beach and needed lunch. The warm stew heated my cold swimwear wearing body, and every spoonful was better than the last. It came with two slices of garlic bread, which was perfect for dipping! 10/10 We also got the fried belly clams with fries. It was great, and fulfilled the craving. Seriously can't get over the stew!!! FYI: we came during lunch and there was only one waitress waiting on four tables. Though it took a little bit of time to place our order, the food came out within a reasonable time. Hats off to the staff for making things possible!”
