“We stayed for 2 nights and was really impressed by this hotel. It's massive. Definitely kid-friendly. The beds were too stiff/firm for my liking and the firm pillows too soft/flat. The hotel is either new, or recently renovated. The room was extremely clean with the exception of one pillow, there was blood on the corner of the pillow slip. The arcade and pool area is really nice. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but got drinks, they were expensive. The breakfast is average and well- stocked/maintained. Elevators are extremely slow.”

“Actually wish I could give an extra star. Of all the dog friendly hotels and there are not that many, this is one of the most well kept properties. Please know that when booking especially if not traveling with a pet. We have stayed at almost all of the pet friendly hotels, this exceeds are expectations. And we are both health care providers. Additionally, yes all places will be over priced during peak tourist travel times in Traverse City. It’s dynamic pricing which you may appreciate if you are the traveler and owner of rentals or vacation rentals. So, expect it to be high in the summer like all places. Expect this to be pet friendly and truly pet friendly. Staff are AMAZING and so welcoming. I stay for business and some days need to leave at 5a and Scott tries his best to get some basic simple things out for me to grab and go. Thank you Christy Tricia Scott Shelia and Val! And the maintenance guy. Thank you Emily and Anna (I think). You are all so welcoming to us during our stays.”

“Loved everything about this hotel. We were first greeted by Brenda. She was so friendly and entertaining. We really lucked out in the room she gave us. It was conveniently located right across from the elevator. The bathroom was very large and a large walk in shower. There was a microwave and refrigerator. Did not use but the pool and whirlpool were a good size and I was sorry I did not bring a bathing suit. The exercise room was well equipped. The breakfast was with the typical items and was kept well stocked by staff. We got a super good rate but acknowledge it was probably due to being off peak. Regardless I would stay here again the next time we take s trip to Sauté St Marie.”

”We went to the Holiday Inn to enjoy a one day vacation. The plan was to enjoy a nice evening swimming in the pool and chilling out in the hot tub. The pool itself was great , the water was clean and warm. The hot tub, which was one of the main reasons I came down to this Holiday Inn, look like they had been washing tires in it for weeks. If you're going to this Holiday Inn to enjoy the hot tub you might want to call ahead and ask what condition it's in. I was extremely disappointed. We were afraid to get in it.”

”Stayed the night December 1, 2023. Front desk staff were generally not pleasant and one had a constant guest all evening. We found straight, medium length black hair in our bed. Mattress was very hard and was about 6 inches from the wall so pillows were always sinking into the crevice. TV shut itself off with a timer and it could not be stopped. Bathroom was dirty. The bag that we assumed held a hair dryer was covered in dust. Dust bunnies were covering the floor under the bathroom sink. I'm not sure who would actually use large bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion that were attached to the walls. That is kind of creepy. Who knows what someone has put in those bottles....spit, semen, urine (people are that nasty). We paid $2 for a bag of popcorn to microwave in our room. The microwave sounded like a plane trying to take off. Refrigerator ran most of the night. Bathroom door sounded like a banshee when opening and closing. Closet door was stuck on the right side. Needless to say neither one of us slept and we left early in the morning (definitely not paying $16 for breakfast after all that). We paid over $130 for a room that should've cost a maximum of $30. Very disappointed in Hilton.”

”Comfortable room! The facility does cater to those who may be in town for a medical event. We really appreciated plates and flatware availability along w snacks and coffee 24hrs, especially as my husband was had eye surgery. Staff was pleasant and facility was clean. ”The room seemed fresh and modern. The first appearance was that of a clean modern hotel. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked the same attention to detail. Both the toilet and the shower were dirty. The rooms lack adequate insulation. You can clearly hear casual conversation from the surrounding rooms, and if the occupants on the floor above moved, it sounded like elephants wearing high heals on a marble floor. Unfortunately, it was not a good place for a comfortable night's sleep.”

”I would not recommend you stay here. I booked a pet friendly room and the room smelled so funky. I asked to switch rooms but the only other available room stunk too. I woke up so plugged up from the pet dander. The overwhelming pet odor made me want to gag, so we left first thing in the morning and I brushed my teeth at the park. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but checked out early and regret staying even the one. We called to politely let management know our issues after we got home, but they couldn't be bothered to return our calls. So here is our warning to you: Do not stay at this hotel if you stay in the pet friendly rooms. I would have preferred to sleep in my van.”

”I rented a room here a few months ago when I had to work in the area and what I can say is that, "You Get What You Pay For." It is definitely not as appealing as Hampton Inn or even the Holiday Inn Express and Suites but, for me, it did the job. I had found a deal online and was pleasantly surprised for what I paid for. The location is right off the main road leading into town and if you needed something to eat, there are a bunch of options to choose from, pickup and delivery! The room I had was not horrible; the bed was comfy enough, the pillows were soft, which I love, and the shower was nice. A little dirty like others have said but really, if you want to save some money, this is what you get and is probably the best option in the area!”
