“Food is phenomenal!!! First time my husband had eggs Benedict and he’s now hooked. Waiter was super accommodating when we couldn’t decide on what to order, so he offered to try half of 1 version of a classic eggs Benedict and another half of a special which was a Philly cheese Benedict, both amazing and only charged for one. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs, you MUST ADD the hollandaise. Eggs were so perfectly poached in both of our meals! Only negative, it’s an old building and very busy so not the cleanest carpeting and old small bathrooms that are directly in the dinning area.”

It reminded me of an old world italian restaurant that someplace like the North End of Boston would have. For real. Pizza was full of cheese. ”Driving back from the Copper Harbor area and to the airport there weren't many restaurants open, but we were happy to find Sherrie's Restaurant. Sherrie, our waitress, was super nice. Cheese curds, jalapeno popper burger, philly cheese steak, banana pie, and chocolate peanut balls. It seems like a locals favorite and it was what we needed for the long road trip ahead.”

”Amazing food in a cozy setting! We had the filet mignon and the boar tenderloin. The filet was good, but the boar was great. The herbed goat cheese was a great way to get things started. They have a nice selection of wine as well as a good menu of mixed drinks. It's a little out of the way to get there, but well worth the trip.”

”Overall it was a nice evening out. The drinks were amazing! The food was just ok. A shrimp cocktail for $15 was not a good value as the shrimp were tiny and some were not deveined. Not worth the price and I would like two-bite shrimp! I had the crab cake with the TERRIBLE TOMATO AND COLESLAW! Not appealing at all and it didn't taste good! It looked even worse! The bread pudding was great. Service was slow and we didn't get water for the first 12 minutes. The server was okay…a little snarky but decent. Hate sitting by the kitchen! The $50 deposit is trash. It was supposed to go towards the bill but they refunded it and now I'm still waiting on my refund! Should have just stuck to the application to the bill. Overall it was just decent. Likely won't return for another 2 years!”

”Came for date night Visiting from Grand Rapids before a concert at pine knob— the food was amazing, such great flavor combinations and really fresh. Tony was one of the best servers we’ve had in years, super personable with great recommendations. I also loved the decor and aesthetic- a renovated historic bank from the 1800’s! So cool. Even the ladies room decor was cute. Prices were a bit higher than our preference but it was a special occasion and everything was tasty. We’d come back when we’re in the Detroit area! Ps- it was a little difficult to find because the signage is minimal and street parking was a little tricky, but the food and every other aspect was 100%!”

”First time in at Bodega and we weren’t disappointed. Service was good, the atmosphere inside was comfortable and inviting. When the food came it was hot, fresh, and exceed our expectations. On a snowy and frigid night I opted for the grilled cheese pesto sandwich with fries. Flavor bomb! This wasn’t just a grilled cheese it was damn good. My wife went with a vegetarian option and was also impressed with the flavor and quality of the dish. We will definitely be back. We also were recommended to eat here by a fellow vegetarian at Ore Dock Brewing when we asked for his favorite spots in town. Marquette just keeps getting better… we love it! Add Bodega to your list when visiting.”

”Not the way I like to spend $50 per person. Worst Bloody Mary ever and raw branzino were the lowest points. Service and ambiance were nice and they didn’t charge us for the branzino. Good gnocchi, but the sauce and wild boar not so much. The roasted carrots were fine. For dessert, we liked the giant slice of carrot cheesecake, but the French pie was too heavy. Both should be shared. Overall, I’m giving 3 stars because the food is not good enough, especially considering how expensive it is.”

”This place has definitely improved over the years. I remember back on the day, people used to call this place "The River Dump". Since the new owners have taken over, I've continued to be impressed with this place. Their menu is quite deep. Despite that, I ordered the chicken teriyaki, which was a special. It came with 2 sides. So I got fries and a salad. It was all very good. The chicken was juicy and tender. The teriyaki sauce that it was smothered in was very tangy and flavorful. The meal also came with a small rice pudding. What's also very cool about this place is that it has a very locals feel to it. Everybody knows each as Rockwood is a reletively small city. But being off of the interstate, there are a lot of truckers and travelers that stop in for a quick bite. With that being said, it would be nice if they opened earlier than 9am. I feel as if they would generate much more business during the early morning hours. This place also has kayaks for rent. Being right on the Huron River, it may not be a bad option. Overall, this is a nice little diner that offers kayaking”
