“I would absolutely not recommend this hotel. The room was wonderful. The service however was awful. Me and my friend got a room for two nights on our last night the guest next to us were being very loud. There was a man knocking on our door for more than 10 minutes and would not tell us Who he was. He said that we have more less than two minutes to get our belongings and get out of the hotel before he calls the police. We asked who he was since he was in his pajamas. He said he was the owner. We asked for employment ID he refused to give it to us. we explained to him that it was not us being loud. It is the people next-door it was 1:20 in the morning and he kicked us out of the hotel after repeatedly telling him that we were sleep it was the guest next-door. When I called downstairs to make sure that he was the actual owner and not a guest playing a prank. He came back to our room, kicked the door and said how dare you question who I am get out of my hotel room. Then pushed past us walked in our room and started to pack our things. When I told him do not touch our belongings, he said he owns everything and everyone in the hotel room. When I thought this couldn’t get any worse while we were waiting in the lobby for a ride, he was kicking out three more guest that had been to be African-American. I would not recommend this hotel if you care about your safety.”

“We stayed at Lake View Hotel from Sunday to Wednesday morning. It had a nice location. There was bike parking by the hotel. The staff was wonderful! It had nice porches to sit and relax on. Great hotel to people watch from. The room was nice. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The indoor pool was nice but cold. The Turtle played loud music below our room during the day into the evening. That was not that relaxing after being out and doing activities on and off throughout the day.”

”Hampton is usually a go to, so when we were in town for a Spartan and looking for a place for the night this was it! Room was good for the night. Beds were comfy and the place was clean. It took about five minutes for us to get checked in because the girl watching the front desk was out back. Not too much of a big deal but it had been a long drive and mobile check in didn't work, so we had to wait. Breakfast was so-so and the eating area is smaller than most other Hamptons. We were in a hurry so there isn't much else we can say about our stay. All things considered, it was decent.”

”The lady at the front desk was the worst. I don't know why this hotel has more than 4-star reviews on Google. No way. The hotel also looks so old and dim. Please live nearby better hotels you can get at the same price. Also, this is definitely not a kids (No way) friendly hotel. To answer to your reply: When a front desk lady doesn't care and do her own stuff and keep someone waiting, when she is clearly seeing a baby (9 months) is crying loudly, I have no interest to talk/discuss/go close to that hotel anymore. Also, please in addition to renovate the hotel, "renovate" the front desk people. Thank you.”

”Update: Stayed here recently and had more of a 3 or 4 star experience. This time around the room wasn’t as clean (and I saw multiple spiders and cobwebs). The power went out and when we called the front desk they asked us to find and deal with the fuse box ourselves, and after that didn’t work, they finally sent someone to look at it (turned out it needed to be fixed on their end, outside of our room). I did use the gym this time and it was clean and had everything I need for a workout. 5 stars there. What would’ve made it an overall 5 star experience? Clean up the cobwebs and perhaps if a guest’s power goes out in the room, at least offer to send someone to fix it from the get go. 5 months prior (5 star experience) I've stayed here on two different occasions and both were great experiences! The rooms were clean and it's a pleasant property. If it's crowded parking can be a little bit of a challenge (there was a nearby lot we were able to park in) One of the rooms had a broken towel hanger in the bathroom. Still, overall, great stay!”
