“We stayed for 2 nights and was really impressed by this hotel. It's massive. Definitely kid-friendly. The beds were too stiff/firm for my liking and the firm pillows too soft/flat. The hotel is either new, or recently renovated. The room was extremely clean with the exception of one pillow, there was blood on the corner of the pillow slip. The arcade and pool area is really nice. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but got drinks, they were expensive. The breakfast is average and well- stocked/maintained. Elevators are extremely slow.”

“Stayed here from 2/14/2024 to 2/18/2024, got two rooms side by side. We were in Ann Arbor to tour University of Michigan, this was the perfect location. The staff was incredibly accommodating, super attentive and so professional. Management is doing a great job running this place. Every single interaction we had with the staff was very pleasant. “Absolutely the best hotel I have stayed at in quite a while. Staff was super friendly and was so helpful in everything they did. I booked my stay online to be in town for the CWH Santa School and did not get the discount. I asked the young lady at the front desk, Emily, and she reached out to her manager, and they fixed everything, saving me a bunch of money. The breakfast served was great, and the staff was on top of everything, even letting me in to eat a little early. I can not give the staff enough praise. Thanks for making my stay so good!”

“Hampton is usually a go to, so when we were in town for a Spartan and looking for a place for the night this was it! Room was good for the night. Beds were comfy and the place was clean. It took about five minutes for us to get checked in because the girl watching the front desk was out back. Not too much of a big deal but it had been a long drive and mobile check in didn't work, so we had to wait. Breakfast was so-so and the eating area is smaller than most other Hamptons. We were in a hurry so there isn't much else we can say about our stay. All things considered, it was decent.”

“With many guests coming from out of state as well as across town, we were very pleased with our large wedding block of rooms at the Holiday Inn. The manager, Pilar, helped us set up the blocks and she kept us updated with lists of which guests were booking. We felt we got a very reasonable rate for the area, and were given a convenient link we used on our wedding website. The hotel is relatively new, and the rooms were modern and clean. It was great to have two hotels that were next to each other (Holiday Inn and Staybridge on Opdyke Road) so that our guests could choose the room layout that worked best for them and we could arrange transportation from the joint parking lot area to our venue. It gave us peace of mind that they worked with us a full year in advance, as we were booking for a popular weekend. We coordinated with the hotel in advance to come up with a plan for a setup for our guest favor boxes and the staff helped us set them up on a table by the front desk. They kept track of check-ins within our block and made sure everyone grabbed their gift box. Our guests were happy with the hotel and staff and we highly recommend staying here as well as considering them for a wedding block!”

”As a newer building this hotel is in pretty good shape, much better than the surrounding hotels. Only had 2 issues, the first was the sliding door for the bathroom didn't close all the way and if closed too far was almost impossible to reopen. The other issue is if house keeping sees you take your bags out of the room they may start prepping your room for the next guest, I was unable to use my room for the last two hours because I decided to take my luggage out to the car before going to breakfast.”

”Great, clean, and elevated Residence Inn hotel! I had a gathering downtown so friends and I rented two suites - they were top notch, clean, full refrigerators, and very spacious! It was comfortable for hanging out and catching up in the suite with friends before we went to our event. The desk staff were very polite and accomodating, and when the person checking us in wasn't sure about something, another person was nearby to confirm and expedite our check-in process. I also love the wheel of savings - we won free overnight parking! We had their usual warm free breakfast the next morning; it is packed, but it was good and we were still able to get a table and feel like we could continue to catch up with coffee and not feel rushed. They even gave us an extended check-out time. The view was beautiful and the hotel was very convenient for walking around downtown. The staff were warm and welcoming.”

After purchasing a suite and arriving a little after midnight, I wanted to get into bed immediately, my sheets not only were dirty and soiled. At this point why not throw them out or get them professionally cleaned. The bathroom was disgusting and had hair on both the seat and bottom. Completely unacceptable and tells me it was not cleaned at all. See photos. Do not stay here.”

”My partner and I smoke but never indoors, we kept to the outdoor smoking area and then would come inside after and laid on the bed, we never sat on the couch or chair. After we left we were charged $250 because they claimed we smoked in the room. I immediately called the number I was given and disputed this and heard nothing back from the hotel. When I called back 5 days later I was told that the manager confirmed there was an odor and they couldn’t rent the room out. The ONLY place there could be an odor was on the bedding because as I said we are smokers and laid in the bed after coming inside from smoking. So essentially we paid $250 for the housekeeper to change the bedding. Our AC unit did not work, it’d turn off randomly and none of the buttons worked, which I reported to the front desk as soon as we arrived. If someone had smoked in that room the whole floor would have reeked. The rules don’t say anywhere that smokers can’t stay at the hotel or that they will be charged more for staying. It says to not smoke in the room which we did not do and there’s video proving we went out of our way not to do, but we were charged for it anyway. Honestly I would have probably recommended this hotel before this but the lack of response from the management on the issue and this charge is just too much. We have never had this issue when traveling before. My partner and I saved to take a anniversary trip and overall had a great time in Grand Rapids, but this definitely has put a bad taste in our mouth for what was supposed to be a very special weekend.”

”I stay in Hilton chains all the time for work! But this place is awesome! The warm welcoming in, the snacks at the entrance, the information board of what’s going on in Traverse City, along with weather, riddles, and other cool little information. Only downfall is US31, it’s always busy and usually I go right to the next light to go west. But it is what it is! The staff is very friendly, and the accommodations are awesome! They do put their own twist on breakfasts, which I truly appreciate because if you’ve had one Hilton breakfast you’ve had them all. But that is a true appreciation I have for this place!”

”I had my birthday party in the conference room here. We were told we could arrive 10am the day of the event to set up. We got there and the place was still trashed from the party the night before. The staff was so great, until at night when the night shift came in and told us to leave (despite being a quiet and chill group). They started cleaning right away, which was weird because we clearly saw that they don’t clean until the next morning anyways… Otherwise, the hotel was quiet, the room was cozy, the bed was so soft and comfy.”

”One of the best hotels we ever stayed in and we travel a lot! The room was spacious and the breakfast was great, along with a lot of variety! They have mini waffles and all the toppings that go on them along with so many other options! They even have nori and rice and everything that goes in it! Everyone that worked here was so friendly. Hannah checked us in and answered all of our questions. She was very friendly and the perfect person to greet us. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would stay here again if we were ever in Novi.”

”We have yet to check into our hotel room, after having to scramble from two other hotels, due to lost power. We were happy to finally arrive at a hotel with power, only to experience, hands-down, the worst customer service I have ever received at a hotel, And I go on many vacations throughout the year. I was told not only that I could not check in for who knows how long, but that we couldn’t sit in the lobby, even though we were about to be a paying customer, and all of the other hotels were out of power so we had nowhere to go. We ended up sitting in the parking lot in our car and brushing our teeth out of the window because we weren’t allowed to be in the lobby. Again, we have not even checked into a room yet, so the rooms might be gorgeous. The customer service at the front desk made me consider turning right around, and I would have, if not due to the weather circumstances. 0 stars on the service”

”I arrived here on August 8th for a teaching seminar. The company I work for bought out a whole floor of rooms. When I checked in, another guest asked the front desk attendant what time the pool was open until. We were informed it was open until 10pm and reopened at 6am! So, the following day after our training session, I gathered my gym gear and swim suit and headed to the pool/ gym. The gym was a joke, only had 5 and 20lb weights, one treadmill and I'm not even sure it was working, and it was so dirty in there. So, I went to the pool. Except it was closed and full of green algae! Obviously it had been closed for some time, so I'm not sure why the attendant told us it would be open. And if you know a company is coming and has reserved a whole floor of your rooms, wouldn't you think to clean your pool first, so your guests could enjoy it!? Good news is, the hotel next to us had their pool open, so I got to watch people swim in the other hotel from my hotel room window for the 3 days I was there. How cute! Not too mention, their continental breakfast was a joke. Little bagged waffles for breakfast, while other hotels had fresh made and fruit. I strongly suggest going to a different hotel.”

You could here everything...sounded like a basketball game was above us and a whiney puppy on the side. In fairness, this was the first time we've stayed at this location. The other locations we have not noticed the noise from our neighbors.”
