“We stayed here mid week, in one of the surfari tents. Stayed 4, paid 3. We came here with another couple so we had 2 tents next to each other. So reasonably priced and has everything you need to have a few days away. A great staycation (we live on the Gold Coast, so just a quick one hour drive).”

Bubbletent Australia

NA, Capertee NSW 2846, Australia

“We stayed at Virgo so experiences with other tents might vary. A unique experience that's surely finding its way to Australia travelling bucket list one day, I have little doubt about that. Going into the site is not bad but definitely don't recommend low clearance vehicles. The directions are easy to follow and the farm animals generally share the road fairly. Occasionally some cows would take their time so take yours as well. Driving after dark is absolutely not recommended for the sake of your safety and the native animals'. Waking up in the morning sun, one is often greeted by clouds coming down the mountains on the other side of the canyon. Once the sun comes up and cleared the mist, there's the panorama view into the Capertee Valley. The canyon is so vast that one can spot multiple weather patterns at the same time. Just sitting there appreciating the spectacular view offered by mother nature is a truly rewarding experience on its own. It might not be the end of the world if the weather is upon the tent itself. It tends to move fast. The tent (bubble?) is as fascinating as advertised. I won't go into details of itself for it's fun to explore. Go watch The Martian (2015) and you will get a general idea. Just not as big and as high-tech, but then again this is Earth not Mars. The supporting facilities around the tent are very thoughtfully designed. As long as one followed instructions or better still, done their homework with video clips provided, it is easy to take advantage of all that's provided. BBQ is a good way to prepare dinner or two and the fire is an essential part of camping. The wood fire bath tube is an interesting concept to master. Again, follow the instructions and you should be alright. There is constant communication from the host with real-time updates and value-adding travel tips so even beginners should be able to survive. I often dream about visiting another planet but now I know there's one more place on earth I'd like to visit again.”
