“Such a hidden gem! A beautiful and cozy space near Hyde Park. It's a basement bar with lots of vintage touches and little knick-knacks. Music is great and so are the lovely people behind the bar. I went off menu and asked them to make me a gin cocktail and got served an Aviation. Absolutely smashing. I'd recommend trying some of the in-house cocktails too. Or grab a pint or two! Will definitely be going back! (The 5 stars is for the cocktails and not food. Although I've heard it's very tasty for pub grub)”

So it was like a race to finish so we’d have more room for the remaining dishes. Otherwise it was great!”

Cheesecake/steak/king prawns are good too. Octopus is well seasoned but a bit overpriced. Spicy potatoes weren’t spicy at all and wouldn’t recommend it. Overall good dining experience however its more suitable for grabbing a nibble instead of a proper meal.”

“GO HERE IF YOU WANT A TERRIBLE NIGHT OUT - we went on Monday 18th December. Club York is an excellent venue to start off for your night out. They have happy hour (5-7pm) a great cocktail bar upstairs (unfortunately closes at 7pm). I highly recommend Primi Italian- great service, food was amazing - no one left food on their plate! After dinner we thought we’d just continue talking, drinking at the main bar so the restaurant can clean up and leave we all ordered a standard drink (beer, wine etc) nothing fancy but we couldn’t order a second as apparently they were closed. We chose this place due to the long opening hours listed on website, social media etc. It was a Christmas time catch up as we all work in hospitality and know how stressful busy December can be so we wanted to have some time at the venue. Trading Hours may state 11pm BUT THEY CLOSE THE BAR DOWN AT 10pm!! No walk around to let current patrons know that the bar will be closing soon, no announcement, nothing. When we questioned this they said the pokie area is opened until 11pm. Management, the 2 older male workers were very rude at how they handled the situation, kept muttering under their breath, like we were an inconvenience to them the whole night. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and walk down to the corner and go to CLUB 75, great bar service, all staff and security were friendly to deal with. The bar staff walked around and announced last drinks then closed and hour later - it’s like they understand how the hospitality industry works!! CLUB 75 IS A WINNER!!”
