“We have been going here for our local Japanese food. A great place for a family celebration. The quality is consistently high and there is a play area in the dining area for small kids. The kids meals are great and the staff are always friendly and helpful. The ordering is done via an iPad so you can keep track of what you've ordered. We have been here many many many times!”

Tuka Parramatta

Shop 2/2 Horwood Pl, Parramatta NSW 2150, Australia

“Excellent place to dine. The atmosphere service were very good at this shop. A gem in Parramatta. They have decent variety of cuts of meats, offering Wagyu and regular curs of meat. The ox tongue and pork cheek were awesome. But the meat in general was well seasoned. The mango daifuku with the mint was surprisingly a good combo. The shop can be a little hard to find but it's path is situated in between to buildings. Plenty of street parking and weekends it free at the parking lot or just park at Westfield's.”

Shop 1/101 Miller St, North Sydney NSW 2060, Australia

“My visit to Rengaya in North Sydney was a true treat. The quality of their wagyu cuts was outstanding, matched only by their fresh and delightful sashimi. Notably, the scampi was a standout for me, offering a burst of exquisite flavors. Rengaya's commitment to offering an exceptional Japanese BBQ experience is evident, making it a definite recommendation for those who appreciate top-quality dining.”

Ken's Sushi Bar Dining
4.5

3A Shaw St, Bexley North NSW 2207, Australia

“The staff are Japanese, and obviously, they work systematically, work very hard, and are very pleasant to customers. The food is delicious, and in my opinion, they can outbid some expensive Japanese restaurants in CBD. Well done, Ken's sushi. Keep up all the good work. You have made so many local customers very happy.”

Juan Bowl & Tea
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$

94A Pitt St, Redfern NSW 2016, Australia

“Simple menu with only 4 options for a small place, and it totally makes sense. I love it! I am usually suspicious with small places and extensive menus. Wagyu rice bowl and the mochi dessert were the highlights for us. Since we are not a fan of unagi in general so we opted out. The sauce for the thinly sliced wagyu, cooked to perfection, was memorable. I recommend not sharing the mochi dessert. The restaurant doesn't take booking be sure to go there early or when you are not hungry while waiting for a table. Is worth it.”

Kaiza Izakaya - Japanese Restaurant Newtown

95 Enmore Rd, Newtown NSW 2042, Australia

“Food here last night was amazing. Everyone serving were very polite. The music at the back could be little softer but overall really good experience. Thank you so much to everyone who cooked and served us those beautiful delicious meals. Also thank you to the young man who cleaned up our broken glass of wine 😬🙈🙏”

Corridor Newtown
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 11:00 PM

153A King St, Newtown NSW 2042, Australia

“I checked out Corridor recently to try the Delivermefood special, which was a double beef and poutine burger. The chef also recommended the kiwi pineapple hot wings which were an awesome share plate option. The cocktail list was extensive and creative, and the standout for us was the Inner West Side which came recommended by the friendly bar staff. It is perfect for someone who likes their cocktails on the sour side! The bar has a cool grunge vibe and has an open rooftop space which is perfect for a chill catch up with mates.”

“Very friendly staff and beautiful cocktails. The dumplings cover was a bit too thick, otherwise food was great. We enjoyed tap bear and Malibu Barbie cocktail there. It was nicely mixed and tasted so good. The bar and restaurant would be so busy at night so recommended to book in advance.”

Dapto Leagues Club

Cnr Station St &, Bong Bong Rd, Dapto NSW 2530, Australia

“Great feed. Great atmosphere. Awesome variety of food and beverages. Steaks have that excellent grill flavour and smell. All cooked to perfection. Very family friendly with play room for young ones and play centre upstairs. Out with family from age 1 to 96 all enjoyed their meals. Meals were ordered from the table and delivered to the table with separate pay if required. It's better to book a table. Was busy but spread out well. Live music this Friday. Have had Chinese here too and is excellent.”

Jugemu & Shimbashi
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

246-248 Military Rd, Neutral Bay NSW 2089, Australia

“Jugemu is located along military road in neutral bay. There are two entrances into the restaurant, but doesn’t matter which side you choose it’s the same restaurant and menu. Theres two types of seating though, left side has normal tables and right side has normal tables plus sunken tables. Reservations are highly recommended as this restaurant is popular, in the past I’ve never been able to get a table walking in. Jugemu specialises in authentic teppanyaki hot plate grill, okonomiyaki pancakes & shimbashi their hand made soba noodles. The pancake is beautifully decorated with mayo and tastes really nice. While soba noodles come with nice dipping broth, there’s actually only a small amount of soba noodles (not made for sharing). ‘Oroshi’ soba is my favourite dish, it looks like a bibimbap but once all the ingredients are mixed together the flavours all complement each other and taste delicious (Oroshi taste best cold). The duck and Japanese mushroom soba has a nice hot dipping broth, however there wasn’t enough ingredients to go with the soba (there was only one slice of duck from memory). If you’re paying $28 for a meal, I expect to see more slices of duck and mushroom! All the dishes seem quite expensive and small, however I did enjoy the food. The chef has done a good job with the flavours of each dish. Overall, the average spend per person you’re looking between $20-40, since the portions are small you’ll be more than likely to order more. The main highlights for me are the savoury pancakes & hand made soba noodle dishes especially Oroshi.”

“Had the omakase course. Some of the dishes were great. Attentive service and staff. The overall experience was good but the restaurant was very noisy. I expected more for paying $200. Wagyu beef was yummy.”

Kuro Bar & Dining

“Had a lovely evening at Kuro Bar & Dining. Service was great ! Food was amazing. Can really taste the freshness and the array of flavours! Experience was really good too. Drinks also tasted great! Would definitely recommend trying this place and for special occasions! They had a little birthday treat at the end of courses too which was really nice!”

Komatsu Japanese Restaurant
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$

Rhodes Central T2.18 6, 14 Walker St, Rhodes NSW 2138, Australia

“Got the set menu in a private dining room. Food was very fresh, with the menu covering a variety of seafood and preparation styles. Items were cooked well (not over or undercooked) and we left very satisfied and full at the end of the meal. Service was attentive, and available at call via a button on the table. Atmosphere is OK. We were in a private dining room but you can still hear other diners in the neighbouring rooms. There’s not much to see out the windows as it is right next to Rhodes station, however it does have the advantage of easy transport including underground parking at Rhodes Central.”

Regent Hotel

“That’s definitely no a kilo of wings. The staff was convinced they were, but let’s be real… Good flavour though.”

Drinking Place Injigo

393 Liverpool St, Darlinghurst NSW 2010, Australia

“An intimate and authentic Japanese izakaya with a focus on Japanese sake and a good variety of food options. Staff were friendly and provided great advice on the type of sake to drink. The dishes were simple, but overall cooked well. In particular, the Scallops Fry and Deep Fried Prawns. The sashimi was also quiet fresh. Overall great ambience and a worth visiting. Will be back again in the future 👍😋”
