“After being stuck in the car for 25 hours, this was a longer drive than the closest available hotel. After combing through the reviews of our closest options, I opted to stick it out and drive an extra hour to get here. This hotel has great reviews, and it is easy to see why. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean. Water pressure is great and enough hot water for all 4 of us to take a nice shower. The gym had enough equipment to get in a morning pump and run. The breakfast is an awesome deal, which we all took advantage of. Lots of variety at a good price! Thanks again for helping the warey travelers and being kind!”

“Shout out to Liz at the front counter she was phenomenal! Any housekeeping or employees that we ran into were absolutely friendly and willing to help in a pinch. Lobby was really nice. They had a great breakfast. The elevator was a little wonky, and the rooms could’ve been a tad bit more cleaner and updated. But all in all was a really great stay and happy that they were dog friendly.”

“Horrible place! What is the pantry charge on my final bill? I did not purchase any pantry items. I'm a silver member and supposed to get 2 waters given free of any charges. The first room I was assigned was filthy. I was given a new room but the floor was still filthy and made our feet black. I made three staff aware that I had forgotten one of my items and they said they'd look for it and then said they didn't find it when I know for a fact that I had brought it with me. that was a brand new bottle of endless sea lotion from bath and body works. Some staff were nice and some were down right rude . This was the worst Hilton experience I've ever encountered. The first room, the microwave had cheese melted all in it, broken sheer controls, no heat, nasty floors and no safety locks The second room had a stain on one of the sheets , hair on corner of the tub, nasty floors. The pool has no towels. Now the guy that I told that to was kind enough to get my some towels. The lady that changed my rooms seemed a bit rude telling me the cleaning crew done left for the day and at first she hung up fast. I called back giving her the benefit of the doubt. Definitely not a good experience and should not even be a Hilton. I will be calling back headquarters about this experience. The least they could do is give extra points and also pay me back for the waters they charged me for that were supposed to be free. I will not return to this hotel ever again !”

“Good hotel with close proximity to the arsenal and several restaurants. Stayed here a week for a work trip. The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were quiet. Breakfast was the same thing everyday. Overall check in and out was very fast with the app. I had no issues during my stay. Would stay here again for a quick trip to HSV.”

“This was our first stay at the resort and we were running a little late arriving. The staff member on duty called to check on us and then waited 30 min after her shift to escort us to our site, which was so much appreciated. Everyone on the staff was kind, courteous, and welcoming. The resort was immaculate. The lazy river was relaxing and also fun with the kids. The staff hosted a themed dinner at the pool which was great! The beach access was clean and spacious. You have so much room on the beach without the crowds of surrounding area. We can't wait to come back and stay again next fall.”

“Good value; recommended. I've read a couple of negative reviews on Bay Palms and after staying here for 4 nights, I have to disagree with most of the negativity. In my experience, I have found this place to be clean (big dog park, walking around, laundry room, gym and community room), friendly (great super bowl party) and a good value for the price. I haven't used the shower/bathrooms or the pool (still not heated). The folks in the office seem to be friendly and responsive to requests/changes. This place is a 10 minute drive south to all that Dauphin Island has to offer and 30 minutes to downtown Mobile. The guests here are good folks, no trashy sites, not too much road noise, no constantly barking aggressive dogs, etc. Like I said, this isn't the Ritz: the community hall isn't pristine, there's not exquisite gardens on-site, you have to pay for your wifi, but for the price this is a good deal.”

“The lodge is amazing - beautiful view and has a rustic, log cabin type feel to it. I think they need to reduce the price though for rooms during weekdays. The $143 rate for lodge rooms on weekdays is the same as the weekend rate but on weekdays the restaurant and bar are closed. We stayed there on a Tuesday and there were only about 6 cars in the parking lot. I bet if the room prices were reduced on weekdays, a lot more people would stay there.”

“Stayed July 15-22nd, 2023. One of the warmest weeks of the summer. Air in our unit didn't work properly in West 508. On 5th night someone came to check out the reported problem at 11 pm. Said there was nothing they could do at that time. Said the coils need cleaned and unit was low on freon. You would think they would've returned on the next day. Nope!”
