“I unfortunately am unable to give a good review on my stay at this hotel. Although the hospitality was great from the lady at the front desk, I found a bed bug crawling across the bed in my room on the 4th floor. I took pictures and videos and she confirmed that it was indeed a bed bug. To my knowledge no action has been taken to resolve the issue. I spoke with Hilton and they were supposed to get back in contact with me and I never heard back from them. Very disappointing because when I travel I always try to stay at a Hilton property.”

“This hotel is the place to go for the best in town. It's clean, very nice, and you don't hear the squalling kids next door to you. “I am a bit torn about this hotel. First of all, it is super inexpensive compared to other hotels in the same area. If you are traveling and need a hotel to spend the night at so that you can get back on the road quickly, this is great for that. The staff is seemingly great too - super nice and super friendly. They had a complementary snack in the room when I got there which was pretty nice. Besides that, there are some other problems with the hotel: The room was kind of dirty looking. It was not like a "they did not clean the room before I got there" kind of dirty but a "this is a really old hotel that has not been deep cleaned and refreshed in a while" kind of dirty. I did see a little baby roach. Breakfast was a little carb heavy, but that is somewhat expected for a cheap hotel. I noticed that another reviewer mentioned that it was pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and this is totally true. It took me about 15-20 minutes to drive up to the next town to go to a walmart to pick up some odds and ends. So while it was really underwhelming, I am not sure if the price balanced the cons. I think it might be worth an extra 10-20 dollars to get a hotel closer to Tuscaloosa if you are traveling along I 59.”

“Front desk staff was great! Jay was amazing and so was the lady working Thanksgiving evening. Both were super helpful and curteous. however, Housekeeping was non-existent! We requested service each night after we checked in on Tue. We received zero room cleaning/service from housekeeping for our entire stay. Thanks to front desk staff we did receive towels. Staying Thanksgiving week, it could be expected not to receive room cleaning on Thanksgiving, but NONE the entire stay was very disappointing.”

“I'm from GA and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (12/27-30). I was attending the Exposure Youth Camp at the VBC. This hotel was literally across the street so it was nice that I could walk back and forth. The hotel was fully booked these days and the staff did a great job assisting so many guests. Although there were long lines for breakfast, the food never ran out and the breakfast staff were always friendly. My room was serviced every day by providing fresh towels, making the bed, and emptying the trash. The housekeeping staff were very kind and accommodating. I specifically want to call attention to the Executive Night Auditor, Ms. Lori. I had a lovely and lengthy conversation with her. I could tell she was truly invested in this company's success and wanting to build a career there. It is nice to come across employees that have that mindset. I was impressed that even after our chat ended (after midnight sometime) she stated she was going to go sanitize the lobby and snack areas. She could have easily just relaxed behind the front desk and appreciate the peace and quiet of the lobby, but she decided to do extra cleaning. She is a gem. I have worked the late night front desk shift at a hotel years ago, and I was not driven like this. Much respect to her. If you have a chance to stay at this hotel, DO IT!! Thanks again to all the staff.”

“The IHG down pillows are so comfortable!! It makes for a great night's sleep! We were on the first floor, and it was surprisingly not loud, even right by the entrance. Good, hot breakfast and very friendly staff!! We used points for our stay, so the value cannot be beat, also! Tons of restaurants within walking distance!”

“I stayed here on a solo vacation for a 4-day weekend and it was in my opinion decent overall. The staff was nice and resolved the issue I had with my room card quickly. My room was clean and the AC worked great my whole stay (it got to 107 while I was there), though the bathroom could have been improved on. There was noticeably something black in the crevices around the bottom of the shower that I found a little questionable. Location wise, the construction along the main road made it a little hard to get around to, but there’s plenty of side streets that lead the same direction + there’s an amazing coffee shop across the complex”
