“My husband and I had to travel to Winfield on 10/20/2023 so we chose this hotel due to the reviews and location. We were there to put our daughter and unborn child to rest that passed on that prior Monday. We arrived at this hotel after noon proceeded to check in. As AARP members our room was priced at $150. We paid cash and was then told their door key machine was down and they would have to let us in our room. After entering the room I noticed a very strong odor of urine from the bathroom floor. I called the desk and a young lady came in and sprayed something in the toilet which did no good. After 4 hours I went back to the desk and asked if we could have our room key and was told they could not make keys till Tuesday! I then get an alert from my bank showing that this hotel charged my debit card $216.52. I immediately went back to the desk and the lady assured me it was just a hold and after the night audit it would come off my card. This morning we wake up to bury our daughter and unborn child to only find the charge still on my card. I again go back to the desk and was informed that the lady that checked us in not only took the cash but charged the card!!! The lady said “I will call my GM and get this fixed” this was at 10am. After the funeral we went back due to not receiving a call that this was corrected and was told that the Assistant Manager was going to fix it. This was already so unbelievable heartbreaking why we were there and now we have to deal with this! As of 6pm we still have not heard from this hotel nor has our debit card been credited back.”

“From my call to make reservations until checkout, we were treated with the utmost courtesy and friendliness. Our room had an unpleasant odor, possibly from an animal, and we reported it immediately. We were given a spray and the next day a candle was left in our room. Our odor issue was addressed promptly and satisfactorily. (It would be nice if rooms were set aside for pets.) Each time we left or entered the lobby the staff greeted us. In fact, I just finished making another reservation.”

“I used to come here a lot. Apparently they have recently renovated. My room was clean and ready when I got there and my digital key worked perfect (a pet peeve of mine). The fitness room was better equipped than most hotels in its class and my stay was pleasant. Several restaurants in walking distance and a mall across the street but what I like most is the river front less than a .5 miles away.”

One of the standout features of this hotel is its tucked-away location, which provided more pleasant atmosphere. We found the facility and grounds to be well-maintained and quite decent. In fact, our overall experience at this hotel exceeded our expectations compared to our previous stays at newer establishments in the area. “The room was clean and well maintained, the bed was firm, but comfortable. The lady at the front desk was helpful and just so very sweet (I wish I could remember her name)! Others staying at the hotel were quiet and respectful of the others staying here which was also very nice. Just a heads up that during "rush hour" it will take you closer to 30 minutes to get to the airport instead of the normal 10 minutes it would usually take otherwise. All in all it was a great place to stay!”

“Overall the hotel is very clean. The location is convenient right off state road 43. There is a Walmart and nice Mexican restaurant next door. It felt safe( I am a female business traveler) and staff were quite friendly. The fitness room has a box, kettle bells, med balls and a nice selection of dumb bells as well as the usual machines. Bring your own sanitizing wipes though. Breakfast area is clean and nice - just did not offer enough plant based healthy options (almond milk, plant yogurt and fruit) - they had two bananas one day and green apples the other days😝. Hot water in the airpot for tea tasted like coffee! A nice property and would stay again.”

“Everything was great, room was clean, beds were comfortable. A bit pricey but we had a good night's rest after driving on the road for several hours. Ac was a bit smelly when it first turned on, and there was a live stink bug in the room and also a dead one.
