It was once where the affluent of the Highlands had their automobiles kept and now the garage bays house a wealth of interesting antiques etc. GQ once named it one of the top 10 coolest bars in the world. It's still tops to us. Good drinks, eclectic folks, and yummy sandwiches makes for a great venue! Check it out!”

“Got to brunch on their patio around 11:30 on Sunday, and our party of 4 were seated right away. The weather was perfect so we chose patio seating. There was live music, perfect for the atmosphere imo. Two adults got cocktails which they liked and I got a Ferus Ursa, a local favorite of mine. The food came out hot and quickly, and we all enjoyed our dishes. I had chicken & waffles and it was very good, but the accompanying fried egg was overdone and unnecessary. Overall, everyone was pleased and we left full and happy. We will definitely hit ACH for brunch again.”

“Took food to go Food was flavorless literally most boring Mexican food I've had to date. AND ORDER of FAJITAS GOT NO TORTILLAS AT ALL . My son was very disappointed had to eat his food no tortilla to make a fajita. Burrito order was two boring rolls of ground beef not even folded like a burrito. No flavor. Street tacos has very little meat in them and very greasy tortillas but at least had tortillas. Even the Horchata drink wasn't good and I'm an expert on Horchata I didn't even finish mine and was thinking when handed to be 20 oz is not near enough....most give you 32 oz as large but I didn't even drink it was not good Horchata. I'm not a picky person but seriously it's Mexican food not hard to make and get it right. This place missed the mark big time...”

“We had a wonderful dinner at Fat Man's BBQ. My wife had to take me home in a wheelbarrow, haha; it's true to the name, I guess. They have counter service and then you pick up your food when they call the number. They do not normally accept tips, so the price is the actual price here. That was something I haven't experienced in a while. The lady working the counter was very nice and helpful, even though I took a long time picking what I wanted from the menu (since I wanted everything). The wings were A+. The best fried buffalo wings I've had in Alabama. They are cut & fried naked and tossed in a tangy mild buffalo sauce. Reminded me of back home. Everything was delicious. The ribs pulled right off the bone. The pulled pork was so tender; you know it had to have smoked for hours and hours. The mac & cheese was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it, which is how I ended up in this food coma. This place is a real treat. I hope you check it out!”

“You order at the front, they hand you a number, then bring your food to you. You get your own drinks, which is sort of nice. I would say 3 stars because it was fairly overpriced for the underwhelming quality of the food. I had the Brisket Tacos (YUM), my only complaint here is there wasn’t much in the tacos, the ratios were off due to this (too much tortilla and not enough filling). Especially because they were $17… My mom had the rattlesnake salad ($13). It was unfortunately extremely bitter, needed something sweet in there to offset the bitterness of the arugula and sour-esque dressing. We then went up and ordered something else because the tacos, while not bad in taste, weren’t all that filling and you’ve already heard about our experience with the salad. We chose to order the $8 Mac and cheese. It was milk with a tint of yellow, some breadcrumbs thrown on top, and very under seasoned. The bowl was luckily a good size and we walked away sort of satisfied in appetite but by far in taste and quality. All of this to say, the staff was amazing! So kind and polite. The place is very clean, good bathrooms, nice atmosphere. You could go on a date or bring your family here and play games and shop a little. The food was just overall disappointing, and overpriced or just not matching the price point for what it was.”

“We are new to the area and have been hearing so much about City Grill. So we made reservations and we were very pleased with the experience. The atmosphere is very classy, but relaxed. The service was very attentive, knowledgeable about their specials. and made great suggestions. The food was exceptionally good! You have to try the fig pastry, it’s a must. We had a party of 7 and we were seated right on time. I would highly recommend City Grill and we will definitely be returning soon.”

“Terrible service. We were given a basket of chips that was mostly just crumbs. We saw a female staff member scooping bags of chips and my son walked up to her and asked for another bag since ours was just crumbs. Instead of just scooping some up she was telling my son that someone else would have to do that. He walked back to our table explaining what just happened and then she walked up to me pointing to someone. IDK. Weird as all get out. She spent way longer explaining and pointing than if she had just scooped some of those thick thick thick chips in a basket. Anyways. We just left and went somewhere else. They lost a lifetime of business here”

“We went for our anniversary dinner and were a little disappointed. I had the shrimp and grits, which were one of their specialties and I wasn't impressed. It was very soupy and not as spicy as I had hoped. There were bits of bacon fat and the shrimp was very plain. It would have been better if the shrimp had some Cajun flavor or something like it. We did have the Bananas Foster Cake and it was very good.”
