“My second time in Rizzo’s. We had such a great 1st time a couple of months back, we made it a point to come back each time we are in Johnstown. My chicken parm was good but my husband lasagne was different from usual lasagne. There is no layers of meat in this lasagne but a ricotta cheese pie with a couple of meat balls. Lasagne tastes good but just different. Service has been awesome for both times. We will be back for our next meal to try other dishes.”

“Birthday dinner at Carpo’s was nice. We sat in a booth away from the larger crowd. First time eating here. You walk up and stand in line to order your food. They give you a buzzer for when the food is ready. Food was good. The only encounter we had with staff was when we ordered and picked up the food. Its kinda like a fast food restaraunt only the food is better. The dining area had nice clean booths. A salad bar available also. Parking lot is small, we went before the dinner rush.”

Asked the attendant what place he recommended that was not a chain and a little off the wall place. He recommended this place. Our waitress was Monica, and she was pleasant, get my water glass full, just on top of her game all around. I highly recommend the cherry glazed chicken breast if it’s offered as the special. Didn’t have room for dessert. I looked around the place and it had a lot of historical photos from the little town that had been donated. I wanted to take some pictures but I didn’t want to disturb anyone meals. They were quite busy! So if you’re ever in the area of this little town, I highly recommend checking out this little gem.”

They even brought my two year old animal cookies, which was a big hit. The food here reminds me of the older tex mex restaurants that have faded away in recent years. They add their own twist to common dishes, and it doesn't disappoint. Seating can be an issue as it is a smaller establishment. Prices are lower than average, and serving size is generous.”
