“Excellent campground well located. Bathrooms are extremely clean and modern with nice showers bonus great music! The exterior of the building housing the bathrooms laundry and game room is well lit. Laundry is open 24 seven and only a buck 50 a load and it is by far the cleanest laundry room and slop sink I have ever encountered in over a year full-time. These owners are considerate enough to mow a walking path to the local McDonald’s and Cracker Barrel. The game room has a pool table and a sitting area. We were there off-season, but the pool looks fabulous. Did I mention they pick up your trash at your site? Just set your garbage bag out in the morning! Newly installed Pickleball courts which we did not get a chance to try out. Friendly owners. Great location. We will be back again.”

They have both gas and diesel. Pump outs available at fuel dock or at your slip. Lots of great walking areas for you dog. They make it easy to stay forever! Love this place.”

“We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The location was wonderful, as we walked to dinner each night at two excellent restaurants. However, it would be nice if you didn't have to ask for ice to be sent to your room - with a tip probably expected - and there is only one small shelf available in the mini-bar refrigerator. All of this made it difficult for us to travel with perishable food during the holiday season.”

”Perfect! We stayed one night the first week of January. It's right off I75 and reasonably priced. We were passing through on our way from Florida to Michigan. The hotel is newly remodeled and very clean. The color palette is very calming. There is tasteful local photography on the walls. The beds are comfortable and our room had a cozy armchair in it, as well as a desk and mini fridge. The breakfast room is large and the selections are thoughtfully prepared. We've been on the road two weeks and this is the best breakfast we've had. There's also a 24 hour coffee station outside the dining area. And they are pet friendly! I strongly recommend this hotel and I'm certain we will be back.”

The breakfast is outstanding and the area kept Tidy. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. They were helpful with suggestions for the area. Richard (?) at check in has been wonderful! He provided us an Elf on the Shelf to entertain the kids while here. He also gave us a Cookie Decorating Kit and we spent the evening decorating cookies for Santa's arrival tonight. He provided extra towels for the pool. He is always smiling and checking on everyone. The breakfast area is super clean and the lady works hard keeping everything fresh and stocked. There were zero issues with our vehicles/parking. There is a charge for parking. I am not sure why people expect free parking when staying down town. Nothing is free anymore! However, the smiles and attentiveness at this hotel are very much free and they go above and beyond!!! 👏 👏 👏 Do not hesitate to stay here if you are seeing a show at the Performing Arts Center. It is a very short walk. This will continue to be our choice when we are in town.”

”Stayed here again from January 12th to the 15th. We started staying here last year as it is close to grandkids. This is a nice hotel. The staff are friendly. The rooms are quiet. We even started to use the pool. We stay at quite a few Hilton hotels and this is definitely one of their best. It is a clean, well run establishment. We will be back again in March.”

”This has been the best hotel I have found in the area with a 30 minute radius in either direction. I will be staying here in the future. Even if it is dated it is by far better than all other choices. Believe it is set for a remodel of some sort this month or next to begin. If they are already doing so you couldn’t tell- wasn’t disturbing business as usual. I didn’t eat breakfast so I don’t have any review there. The internet worked great. The rooms were clean. The front desk staff were very nice. I didn’t experience any issues with my two night stay. Parking wasn’t an issue but is in a parking garage right outside the entrance. This is located downtown near the college with a lot of college students commuting. I could occasionally hear noise from individuals walking outside on the sidewalks but nothing that bothered or created a disturbance for myself. I would recommend and will be staying again in the future.”

I started to wonder when the hotel doors have double locking doors and when I saw homeless people EVERYWHERE! I would certainly stay here again but Would NOT advise anyone to walk by themselves or without protection. A group would be totally fine. It just stinks that I can’t take a nice walk without constantly watching over my shoulder.”

”We stayed here for 4 nights over Thanksgiving and the staff are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. My back normally hurts after a night sleep but the beds here where so comfortable I slept better then I do at home. I need to order one of those mattresses. The pool is awesome too. I'd say the only down side to this hotel is there is no free breakfast, but a great place to stay for sure. We have family in the area and we stay here at least once a year.”

”Stayed in the winter, very good rate due to slow season. The only thing I'd complain about was that the rooms definitely need updating. The water heaters make semi warm water but not hot water. And that sucked when it was 29°out. Heater in the room was okay at best. Location of lodge is amazing, view is great, enjoyed the restaurant. But do wish the lodge itself had more to offer in the way of things to do and nature engagement seeing as it is a nature lodge. I'll be staying again but hopefully after the news of an update to the rooms. C'mon guys. Enough people read this and are saying the same thing. It's just costing you money to not pay for the updates now. It's not 1971 anymore.”
