Countdown Games
4.9
( 10 reviews )

1872 Plaudit Pl, Lexington, KY 40509, United States

“We have done almost all of the games. Some are better than others but overall a great way to spend an hour. The difficulty level varies by each game. Some we have finished and some we ran out of time. They try to add new games semi-consistently. If you go within a week of your birthday you can get a free game. The staff is always friendly and helpful. You can get as many clues as you want.”

Mary Todd Lincoln House
4.6
( 8 reviews )

578 W Main St, Lexington, KY 40507, United States

“We spent an hour here on a self-guided tour, exploring the rooms and reading the information provided. This was an important place for me to visit, as I have been fascinated by Mary Todd Lincoln since I was little. I found the information on her formative years interesting, as well as the more current view of the contribution that enslaved Americans made during that time period. I realize that it was her childhood home, but wish there had been more information about her later years, which are so interesting. The staff were kind and happy to answer any questions.”

”Camp Nelson, Bob, Emily and Milly So much history here, and the promise of freedom serves. Inlisting US military, Blackman opportunities, ring the chains of bondage in a fight for the civil rights many signed up and joined, and then they were able to bring their families as well to live, get jobs as well as a education. THE HIKE IS GOOD,so is the history. I WOULD RECOMMEND”

Theatres Of Georgetown
4.2
( 8 reviews )

401 Outlet Center Dr #175, Georgetown, KY 40324, United States

”This theater is not minor friendly!!!! My daughter went to watch a movie tonight with friends (Mean girls LITERALLY A MUSICAL) and her and her friends were turned away because she was 15 one of her friends is literally 18!!!!! I get it’s a policy but a complete stupid one , most of the little kids in there running it were like 12. These same little kids (especially the boy in the orange shirt) were more or less making fun of my daughter while she was standing right there . They need some new people in there working, I don’t think they should be allowed to make fun of customers. Anyways we will not be returning we will take our business else where next time since most movie theaters understand kids should be able to go to movie theaters by themselves to hang out with friends!!!!!”

Louisville Water Tower Park
4.6
( 8 reviews )

3005 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40207, United States

”Nice park with plenty of parking working water fountain just in case you need it. Another nice thing is electric outlets in the parking area; not sure why, but that could come in handy. You will learn history about how they used to pump water for urban use, and how they do it today. You will also learn some pearls about water filtration and just how many people live and rely on the Ohio River. This is a peaceful place to stop, even if the museum isn't open.”

”Couldn't go the full 5 stars due to the service at front desk. It doesn't hurt to smile, especially when a family drove 455 miles to visit your location while viewing other stops like "caves!" The history & detail was AWESOME though & really worth the while and attitude at the front.........she must've had a mean game of Solitaire goin' on her phone that morning!! Oh yeah and way too overpriced!!”

Kudos to Kay, the retired school teacher who has so lovingly and carefully overseen the collection by cataloguing everything, arranging thought provoking displays, and supplementing the displays with notebooks showing photos and additional details about the numerous interesting ideas. They even have an airplane - look close for it, though, the airplane is often missed because of the wide variety of interesting artifacts all around you!”
