“We enjoyed our stay so much last month that we booked rooms for our adult children/grandbabies to join us here for Christmas weekend!!! The rooms are spacious, clean, and well stocked. The breakfast is outstanding and the area kept Tidy. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. They were helpful with suggestions for the area. We are so looking forward to enjoying another wonderful weekend in Louisville and super excited to enjoy with our family at this hotel. We hope they continue to set the bar for downtown lodging!! Richard (?) at check in has been wonderful! He provided us an Elf on the Shelf to entertain the kids while here. He also gave us a Cookie Decorating Kit and we spent the evening decorating cookies for Santa's arrival tonight. He provided extra towels for the pool. He is always smiling and checking on everyone. The breakfast area is super clean and the lady works hard keeping everything fresh and stocked. There were zero issues with our vehicles/parking. There is a charge for parking. I am not sure why people expect free parking when staying down town. Nothing is free anymore! However, the smiles and attentiveness at this hotel are very much free and they go above and beyond!!! 👏 👏 👏 Do not hesitate to stay here if you are seeing a show at the Performing Arts Center. It is a very short walk. This will continue to be our choice when we are in town.”

“We stayed here for 4 nights over Thanksgiving and the staff are wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. My back normally hurts after a night sleep but the beds here where so comfortable I slept better then I do at home. I need to order one of those mattresses. The pool is awesome too. I'd say the only down side to this hotel is there is no free breakfast, but a great place to stay for sure. We have family in the area and we stay here at least once a year.”

Seasonal decor (poinsettia plants are a good touch around Christmas). 4. Rooms were clean and comfortable 5. Nice pool and exercise room Con 1. $10 for breakfast This was a bit of a surprise for me. We usually stay in the same hotel, such as the Holiday Inn. All those places have had a complementary breakfast. I have a wife and four kids. No thanks.”

”The bathroom was disgusting!!!! They didn’t sweep or mop. Spots and hair everywhere. The photo of the dirty white cloth is from me wiping the floor with a wash cloth. I went to take a shower and the shower/tub wasn’t even clean. Hair was stuck to the walls of the shower and to the tub. It makes me wonder about the carpet. DO NOT STAY HERE!”

”Our stay was very nice! The room was nice, although we had a metal bed and it didn't seem as sturdy as what a wooden bed would've been. The grounds look nicely maintained. Day shift staff was nice, but seemed a little shy. Night shift staff were wonderful. Room was clean. We liked that it didn't have carpet, and the little rubber ducky on the tub was a cute and nice touch! Room had a nice sized fridge, and microwave, and the tub was huge! Nice room for the price and it's right on the river. The terrace overlooking the river was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and are planning to return in a few weeks. Hotel was in nice walking distance to downtown shops and diners! Overall, wonderful experience!”

”We came to Louisville from Cincinnati to spend time with in-laws chose this hotel, because of its pool. Upon arrival, there’s a sign from the department of health condemning the pool, saying it wasn’t safe, guessing the green water was an issue, none of the ice machines on the floors worked,went down to the front desk to inquire about ice and they told me to go to the bar, I went to the bar and the gentleman that was working there said someone would be back in 10 or 15 minutes. Beds where comfortable, the hide a bed had no linens, mattress was thin and had what appeared to be a blood stain on it, we quickly folded it and went to Walmart and bought an air mattress! Looked at the breakfast bar they offered at $10/person and as a former chef I would NEVER Allow that quality of food in my kitchen or out of my kitchen, really only positive I could share is we were on the flight path for SDF so could sit on the bed and watch the planes fly by.. definitely WILL NOT BE BACK”

”We had a couple of hiccups in the room but they were taken care of quickly and Dominic was a really pleasant person and doing jobs all over the facility always took a minute to speak to us during our stay. Stephanie and Ashley the ladies at the desk very nice as well. An issue we had was the price of our stay and no breakfast included, it was $12.95 per person (adults) it was listed as a buffet. We had to pass and buy items to keep in the room. 4 Days was a bit pricey. Staying near the Airport was not an issue at all, there was air traffic but it was soothing to us. We were here to see family so if we come back to Louisville we will find something closer to them and more budget friendly to us. Thank you for a nice visit. ❤️🇺🇲”

”This hotel is located in a great spot and is conveniently located to downtown Louisville and other local venues. There is a free shuttle that will take you within 3 mi of the hotel as well as to and from the airport should you need it. There is a full breakfast every single morning and Mindy, the weekday girl is fantastic. She is super friendly and definitely goes the extra mile to make sure that you have a good meal to start your day. There is laundry on site as well as a very large lounge area at the main entrance of the hotel. There's a fireplace and a big screen TV and plenty of areas to sit and relax or work if that's what you have to do. The gym is well appointed and very clean. There is also an outside grilling area with a built-in grill and adequate seating. The room that I stayed in was quite spacious and while the bed was a little bit small for my tastes, it was incredibly comfortable. The extra bonus that I really enjoyed for this room was that it has a full stove / oven versus just a cooktop like many other Residence Inns have. As with all the properties, each kitchenette area is fully appointed with silverware, pots pans and cooking utensils as well as a full size dishwasher and garbage disposal. These are all must haves if you are staying long-term . From what I understand there are only a few rooms at this property that have full oven/stoves, so if this is something you need, trying to arrange it well ahead of your stay The bathroom is a bit small, but that's really not a big deal. The closet space is adequate and there are plenty of dressers and areas to store your personal belongings. I especially like how the TV swivels 180 degrees so you can face it towards the bed or turn it towards the desk or sofa. While there are many positives there were a few negative takeaways. Parking can be great or it can be horrible depending on what is going on in a local area. The Kentucky exposition center is just down the street, along with Univ. of Louisville. Events and sports season means packed hotels, which means limited parking. Dust- I don't think that there's anything that the hotel can do specifically other than preventative maintenance. I noticed that dust would build up incredibly fast to the point where I was wiping down all of my surfaces every single day. When I first arrived and noticed this, I mentioned it to the front desk and asked that they check my filters on the AC unit. There was a heavy accumulation of dust on the door jamb to the in room AC unit, which is locked. I assumed that somebody from maintenance addressed this issue because the next day it appeared that the door jamb had been wiped down and was clean. Regardless, I don't know if it's the area but if you stay long term you will see dust build up. Wi-Fi/Internet- The property claims that they have hi-speed Wi-Fi and I even saw something about gigabit, but this is simply not the case. On a good day, I was seeing 7-8 Mbps at best. Some days, it seemed as if it couldn't get over 2-3Mbps. To top it off, there is no hard wired internet; or ethernet ports in the room that work. Laundry- I stayed in the main building and there is only one laundry room with four washers and four dryers. These units are commercial grade but they are very small. Also welcome back to the '80s because they are coin operated. Each load costs $1.50, same for the dryer. While the washers do a good enough job there is only one dryer, the one on the left, that will completely dry your clothes in one cycle. So if that dryer is not available, plan on spending at least $3 to dry one load. Something for management to push up to Marriott, I think that laundry should either be free or less expensive than it is. At that, I feel that once you are platinum or higher, laundry should definitely be a perk, especially for a longer than a few weeks. One last thing... Room 301 vibrates regularly. Weird. I spend over 3/4's of the year in hotels and I pick Marriot when at all possible. This location will definitely be a top pick next time I'm in the area.”
