“11/10/23: Decided to go to Laurel Diner as the reviews made it sound like we HAD to try it. Parking was available. Our party of 3 arrived at 11:30am for breakfast. They took our name at the cash register & we were told to wait outside as there’s absolutely no extra space inside this tiny little restaurant. We waited about 25 minutes to be called. We were seated at the table by the door, so I was constantly bothered by the in/out foot traffic. It smelled like pancakes and grease in the air and the menu options were written all over the available wall space. The waitress seemed like she was overworked/ tired, and didn’t have any pleasantries left to share. We ordered our morning drinks, 2 sets of short stacks (2 pancakes each), 2 orders of scrambled eggs, and one 3-pancake stack. Once the food arrived in a timely manner, the eggs disappeared before I even thought to get a photo (we were starving.) The pancakes were good. Not fluffy… more like flapjacks. For what we got, I feel the food is overpriced and not worth the long wait. The establishment is cash-only. We’ll probably try other restaurants next time we travel through.”

“Bill's has been an area favorite for years. What once used to stand with the likes of Jason's restaurant, PJ's Donuts later PJ's diner and more recently Main St. Grille as one of many options for your breakfast enjoyment has found itself standing tall long after others have fallen. While not the only breakfast place in town, Bill's has a name and brand of products (English muffins and the homemade corned beef hash come to mind.) That continue to resonate with us locals. While this most recent trip was a first for me in quite some time the food was the same quality I expected from previous visits. My party picked up 2 steak and egg meals with rye toast and an order of 2 french toast with a side of bacon. The steaks both came at the proper temp ordered, the eggs were perfectly over easy and the home fries were as wonderful as I remember being seasoned enough to not be bland but mild enough for a customer to salt and pepper to suit. The waitress was wonderful, while I sadly forget what her name was, I will tell you she was warm and attentive. My shy daughter ordered her food a bit slower and got flustered when she couldn't remember how she likes her food. She also asked for extra rye toast later, and the waitress never seemed put out or irritated at the less than confident interaction that my daughter engaged with. The price was about what one would expect. I'm sure there are places that cost less and there are definitely places that cost more, but the prices should not be considered a deterrent. The food is fresh, many items are made in house and day of, these prices merely reflect the quality and time put into the food offered. Over all a 4.5 star experience. I couldn't speak to what would make it 5 star, which I understand can be frustrating for those looking for areas to improve, but I would imagine it would be smaller frivolous things that were more attune to individual preferences”

“This place is where you go when you want a great meal in an intimate cozy setting. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Seriously, there isn’t a menu item they don’t do well. Service has been always great. Whoever is training this staff is doing a great job. I would recommend this to anyone. A gem in the area that doesn’t get enough recognition”

“This is a great local diner with HUGE portions. The staff is always friendly. There can be a wait, especially on weeknds, but it is usually not that long. They have outside seating when it is nice. I had the ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. My friend had the egg skillet. In the pics you can see the portions - so come hungry! I knock off 1 star for coffee that was not great. Seems like few places have good coffee, and I don't know why. If you want a great morning breakfast, Kitchen 64 is a great choice.”

“Grabbed some breakfast sandwiches here on a whim when our usual place was closed. We thought you can’t really go wrong with any variation of an egg and cheese— we were wrong 😵💫 I wanted an egg, cheese and avocado on a roll (they were out of bagels) and my husband asked for a sausage, egg and cheese. First of all, they don’t use fresh avocado, it was a very artificial tasting spread. Second, they didn’t use breakfast sausage, it was Italian sausage??? They also added avocado to my husbands sandwich, which he didn’t ask for and doesn’t enjoy. To top it off, it was cash only. So frustrating!”

”Fantastic little deli not too far from Greenwich Hospital. Crispy bacon, fresh eggs, and fresher bread. They have good iced coffee with above average ice. Yes, ice. It’s like strong cold ice. None of that melty stuff you get at other coffee shops. This ice holds it’s form and does it cooling job. I invented an order I call “The Fatherhood.” Bacon, egg, cheese, spicy chili, with cones and ketchup. Then you ask them to double the bacon and double the cheese, THEN YOU ASK THEM to throw that monster on a wedge. My invention will keep you full all day after a restless night of labor and delivery. Enjoy. And make time to visit. Good little spot.”

”I accidentally ordered western omelet ( I don’t eat ham ) but after saying to server , change it without charging me; that is really great , feel like hospitality environment. Wonderful service and I love I’ll try again”

”I visit the Market Place at least once a month to satisfy my cravings for their food. They have tons of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options, all which are easily labeled. I typically get the chicken nachos which are to die for or a burger which is so tasty! I love the gluten free buns they use for their burgers! They also have incredible mocktails which I highly recommend!”

”Literally the worst food I’ve eaten in my entire life. We got our apps and entrees at the same time, and literally none of it was good. The server was okay but I really have nothing great to say about this place”
