“Excellent little spot for an amazing breakfast. Unique breakfast combinations that all sound delicious. Fresh lobster eggs Benedict was my choice and it did not disappoint. Perfect amount of lobster and hollandaise sauce with nicely poached eggs. They also have different flavors of mimosas, so I tried the apple cider mimosa. It came rimmed with cinnamon sugar and it was excellent!!”

“We wish we could give them 6 out of 5 stars! When we lived in northern CT LuAnn's was a local favorite spot for my now husband and I, but since moving to more central CT, we haven't been able to treat ourselves as regularly to their delicious bakery items and wide varieties of cafe style drinks in front of their cozy fireplace! So when we got married at the beginning of September this year, we already knew we wanted to hire LuAnn's as one of our vendors! Even though we had lots of rain on our wedding day, Luann's brightened our special day with their delicious gluten free cupcakes delivered in Cooper, their 1970s Volkswagen beetle parked outside our venue! Josh arrived early and the line to get a cupcake was buzzing with excitement, with each friend and family member excited about what cupcake to choose! We printed a sign displaying the flavors we had selected (3 chocolate and 5 vanilla based flavors from a 3 page list) so everyone knew their options but all choices were superb! The cupcakes were perfectly displayed against the vibrant green color of the vintage car with the trunk popped open, with Josh engaging with our guests the entire time! While we know a cake cutting is a traditional staple for weddings, we wanted something different and we could not recommend LuAnn's more! Please, if you are near the Ellington area and looking for quality made food and drinks, stop in to Luann's! AND if you are looking for an incredible addition to your already beautifully planned wedding, definitely consider hiring LuAnn's for their fabulous cupcakes!”

Alot of people come here for their fresh baked bread and coffee,despite them getting getting my order wrong at times I still go there (their sandwiches are good) but this morning I called to place my order and avoid having to wait in line when the person who picked up told me that I could not place my order because they were busy . This is something totally unheard of in my lifetime of ordering over the phone anyplace where they serve food, sandwiches,etc. Not a happy camper this morning.( "nuff said")”

My Jamaican beef patty was probably the best one I’ve ever had in my life! The area could/does get sketchy at times... There is a cooler inside with items for sale to go, that are in somewhat of a bulk packaging, which is pretty cool.”

”My son and I used to have dinner here regularly when he was younger. It had been a few years so we decided to grab some food from the buffet last night. I spent $43 on one salad, one small cup of soup, two chicken patties, a small pile of pasta, and a soda. I know Citarella is expensive, but that was ridiculous. it would’ve been worth it if it tasted extraordinary… But it was below average. My son’s food – the breaded, chicken fillets, and the pasta – we’re not edible. The chicken was dry and tasted like very old cooking oil. He couldn’t even cut it with a knife. The pasta lacked flavor. Tomato sauce was scant and uninspired. This is a decent enough store to fly by in a pinch for some unique groceries perhaps, if you don’t mind spending a lot, but for their buffet, not so much. The Whole Foods buffet is much better.”

”Good food, drinks were ok(hot chocolate was too sweet) and minimal seating. More suitable for takeout or if you’re dining in party of 2. There were 2 tables for four and 5 tables for two (along a narrow walkway). So prepare to wait for seating. They do have high chair for kids. Egg in sono egg sandwich was nice and fluffy. Sausage was a tad too salty. They serve the food but not the drinks if you’re dining in. They are not a full table service cafe so if you’re dining with a kid, it might be a little troublesome. Service was mediocre.”

”We came for pizza, the decor is basic but the pies we tried were very good, thin crust with a bit of char. Note you can specify how well cooked you want the crust so make sure you do so. We had a sausage/onion, a pepperoni and a plain cheese. Its a nice thin crust style, sort of a cross between NYC and New Haven. We would definitely come back. Good to now have a spot for when we are in Norwalk.”
