They gave in-depth knowledge of the area for sightseeing, incredible customer service, always available/capable to handle any situation. Personable, professional, positive, this list could go on. The breakfast is amazing, enjoyed it every morning possible with a smile on my face, the staff were awesome, helpful and knew how to "put it DOWN" in the kitchen! Room service and maintenance were timely, friendly and made light work of any issues, also deserve massive kudos. As an Ambassador Elite, I cannot recommend this location enough, solid staff, access to the beach less than 5 min walk, multiple amazing bars and restaurants (special shout out to V Pizza right next door, and Hammerhead bar right down the street)! Whether a weekend getaway or a long stay, 10/10.”

”This hotel is 60 years old . It was built in 1964. It was just kept maintained since then . Pros: area is absolutely beautiful. We had balcony overlooking marina and it was perfect to wake in the morning and sit on balcony with cup of coffee. Nice restaurant walking from our room Cons: room was small . 2 full size beds . Since it was 4 of us we had to get another folding bed as 2 adults couldn’t fit comfortably in that bed. Also bed was curiously short . Tiny bathroom . The worst were roaches in the bathroom . No I am sorry it was not the worst . The worst was 360$ price for that room . Just imagine you are staying in motel 6 and for some strange reason they charge you almost 400$ for the room . So the room was a major disappointment . When people paying this kind of money they definitely expect at least some luxury stay. This was a quality of near the road smal motel.”

My husband works in a hospital and his schedule can be rather wonky but we actually both had a day off on the same day and we got lucky that the Black Dolphin Inn also had a room available for the evening. Our last minute getaway was perfect. The room was clean and super cute. Our breakfast was delicious. The staff is welcoming and friendly. ”I was impressed. I ended up staying here on business and chose this location for my colleague and I because I used to live 4 miles away in Lakeland and have driven by this place a million times. Now, I'll run through the key points really quick... • Location: Great location, close to everything needed-Publix, Walmart, etc. Also very close to restaurants (fast food and casual dine ins). It's Bartow so it's not a huge town but is situated in the middle of all needed and minutes from downtown. • Service: We were greeted a very friendly, 2nd shift front desk person. She had a great personality and a sense of humor but I must say, i have to give her the most credit where it's due -she had us checked in in lightning speed time, faster than any hotel l've stayed out (and that's been a lot) and I was very much thankful for it because it had been a long day. The night auditor (overnight) gentleman was also extremely friendly and kind. The woman that served continental breakfast, the same, and the housekeeper that l left my card with when I checked out. I didn't encounter any employee there that wasn't incredibly friendly, helpful and kind. This is a first because it always seems as though there's always that 1 lol • The rooms: The rooms weren't anything special, meaning to set them apart from any decent hotel, however, they were somewhat updated and most importantly, clean. My room overlooked the pool and they had me on the 4th floor 1 room from the end. Everything I needed was there-coffee maker and I'm not sure if this is standard in all rooms but I had 4 coffee pods, which excited me because I usually drink about that prior to making my way down, but 4 coffee pods, fridge, microwave, tv of course, iron, blow dryer and travel size toiletries.”

Front desk, room service, cleaning staff, valet and bellhop, pool/bar service were all exceptional, top-notch and very high class!
