“Small pub that serves up really good food. Honestly I did not have one bad thing here and have been talking about going back since I left. Had an odd feeling for British food and this just hit the spot. Everything is lightly breaded, especially the fish and chips that I got the cod version but they also do a haddock version as well. Add some vinegar or not, either way it was very fresh, not to mention the curly fries which were crispy and so flavorful. The appetizers are where it's at. The banger Bites which are bite size British sausages lightly breaded and served with pickled onions and a honey Dijon dip. Very flavorful and very juicy. The fried mushrooms were not to be outdone though, you can tell it's lightly breaded and a little juicy so all the flavors come through. Even the onion rings that came with the polish dog were tender and tasty. The polish dog was a special of the day and was quite delicious. A juicy sausage with mushrooms and onions. Not to mention the staff was nice and very interactive!”

I gave the good waitress $26.00. Her tip $3.37 How did I feel about the restaurant in general inside was cold, for many reasons and not just the temperature outside on 01/17/2024.”

“Food 5/5: I tried the catch of the day, the trigger fish. Got it blackened with the platter and it was amazing! I've never had it before. It comes with salt and pepper and some Cajun seasoning which was perfect. It came with a lemon wedge which I enjoy. Service and Atmosphere 5/5: the place had nice decor and the waitress was attentive. I'd recommend trying this place if in the area!”

There's even a live band that plays on select nights- so be sure to check the schedule! Overall, it's worth checking out if you're looking for a unique hangout spot. My only recommendation is to check the site for where to park as parking can be a small mission. If you're able to Uber, it can work as a great alternative 🙌.”

”Prime example of "don't judge a book by it's cover". When you pull up to the front desk area of this Motel/Apartments you may be wondering what you are about to get yourself into, but I can assure you, just keep moving forward! After you walk through the lobby and over the red bridge you are delightfully greeted with a Tommy Bahama vibe restaurant. Hostesses were incredibly nice, we did NOT have a reservation on a Saturday night and I would recommend one, we lucked out to find a 4 top in the bar area. Drinks were spot on and alcohol forward which I prefer. Food though!! Wow! I love Hogfish so I should get that out of the way and their Hogfish Dinner was cooked to perfection. Lobster Mac you can't go wrong with or even their burger. Everything was excellent! I Highly recommend this restaurant and when we come back down to Naples we will absolutely be stopping by again.”

”Wow! At first glance I was not expecting what turned out to be a fantastic evening. Sat outside on the patio in the cool air with heaters going. Just right. Top notch drinks, the rack of lamb and the lobster ravioli were to die for and the music was perfect. Our server Destiny was outstanding! Finished dinner and moved to a fireside couch to finish wine. It was so pleasant we just stayed and ordered a second bottle rather than get up to go somewhere else. Lots of great places in Fernandina, but don't skip this gem!!”

”Stopped in last month for dinner and was happy to concur with the 5 star reviews. Stepped inside this vintage throwback with a guitarist playing and instantly felt the vibe of discovering a little gem. ”Our Sunday after church with family, wife & I, eldest daughter, youngest daughter and two youngest grandkids. Visited on a recommendation from a friend and online ratings.Small but comfy, we found a table for 6 right by the window. I was surprised that a server came to wait on us. Mayte took our drink orders while we glanced at the menu. We decided on the Family Meal with Ropa Vieja and Pollo A La Plancha, with Yellow Rice and Black Beans. Grandkids also wanted Fries. We also ordered one each of Empanadas, Beef, Chicken and Spinach and an order of Mari-k-tas Plantain Chips. Shortly Mayte brought our Plantain Chips, followed by the assorted Empanadas. The Chips were great, fresh, hot and crispy. I divided the Empanadas into sections so all could try some. They were good, but not hot and had apparently been in the warmer I saw earlier. Disappointing since I was the one that really looked forward to them. Next came Cuban bread, crispy and terrific. Then our meals came. A huge bowl of yellow rice, a nice bowl of black beans, fries, and bowls of Ropa Vieja and Chicken A La Plancha. The meats were delicious, full of flavor. The rice was very good and the beans were the best I’ve ever had. And the fries were terrific, hot and crispy and super tasty. Bread was so tasty we had to order more. And of course Momma had to get desserts to share. The Rice Pudding was great, took me back to my childhood. The Flan was ok, not a big fan of Flan. Sadly they no longer have Tres Leche cake. The food was excellent and the service was great. Definitely the best Cuban food I’ve eaten in years. The only disappointment was the Empanadas. They can be pre-made and cooked fresh very quickly. But not enough to deter a 5 star rating. Another “must try” place.”
