“I have heard about this restaurant for many years, but this was my first time visiting. My dining partner and I did not have a reservation, but we lucked out by securing the last two counter seats overlooking the kitchen. I did not know that it was BYOB, so I didn't take advantage of that. I preferred to taste more menu items rather than get an entree. The soup du jour was a savory sweet potato bisque with chopped pecans and dried cranberries. It was well-seasoned and almost had a little kick to it. This soup pumped life into my chilled, rainy autumn night bones. Next, I had the local beet salad with multicolored beets, soft goat cheese, pickled red onions, and maple-cider vinaigrette. The flavors were balanced perfectly and I was so pleased I had ordered it. I also had the pulled pork mac n cheese, which was also very good. My partner had a house salad, and he enjoyed it. I was fairly jealous of the person dining to my left, as she was served two decadent looking desserts. I definitely want to return another time to sample more items. My compliments to the chef!”

“Villa Barone is such a nice spot in the middle of Collingwood! The interior is made to look like what you'd think a traditional Italian restaurant looks like so there is a great ambiance! But let's not forget about the food! We started with a margherita pizza which was on point. Maybe a touch too much cheese but who's gonna complain about that. I had the linguini, spinach, and crab which came with a butter, lemon, garlic sauce which was so good! She had the chicken Marsala with a side of penne vodka. The Marsala *chefs kiss*. The vodka sauce was so creamy and hit the spot! Definitely check them out!”

“Delicious food and beautiful decor!!!! We just happened to find this place by chance after apple picking at a nearby farm. We were pleasantly surprised! We were seated immediately and they were able to accommodate our party of five easily. There is a children’s menu - that offers great finger foods. My husband and I were blown away by how tasty our meal was! My son had a grilled chicken Cesar salad and with corn bread croutons. My son didn’t appreciate the sweet flavor from the croutons and felt that they didn’t compliment the salad well. I felt the croutons were delicious and I would have loved to have them sprinkled on top of a nice bowl of savory chili! Our salmon was superb and the jasmine rice was also delicious! We definitely want to eat here again! This place has an “at home” feeling. I would definitely make a reservation again - great venue for a baby shower or other family gathering. I believe they can host parties/ group gathering here as well!!!”

”Last night [Thursday, 10/26/23] my wife and I arrived at Duffinetti's Restaurant and Lounge around 6:45 PM with only six occupied tables besides ourselves. There was more than ample coverage for those seven tables with the three servers [two female/one male] on duty at the time. We were seated by the hostess after a few minutes upon arrival who greeted us warmly while thanking us for coming in because the crowd was so small and they obviously needed our business. Within a few minutes more, we each received a glass of water from the bus person. However, we waited at least 25 more minutes while all three servers completely ignored us, never making eye contact, especially the waitress at the table right next to us. At the same time this was going on, I was looking ahead on my phone for another Italian restaurant in the area that was open during the week. Then, my wife looked at me and said, “’let’s go”, which was exactly what I was thinking and preparing for. As we were walking out, the hostess was nowhere to be found to apprise her what had just transpired, which is the very purpose of this unfavorable review. When we arrived at Joey M’s La Piazza Cucina Restaurant, we were welcomed with open arms and received immediate as well as attentive service. The server made us aware that the Early Bird menu on Thursdays was available all evening throughout the off season. After a delicious, four-course meal that was a bargain to boot, it turned out to be a fortuitous night after all! [Not to be confused, the image below was from Joey M's.]”

”I got this delivered. I can’t blame the cheese slide on the restaurant. That’s on the delivery driver. As for what the big black burnt thing in the middle of my pie is, I have no idea. A charred asparagus tip maybe?? All I know is that when I was a chef, big black burnt chunks dropping in the food means dirty equipment or a dirty kitchen. And this place wasn’t cheap!!”

”Probably the best BYOB restaurant in North Jersey. Its a $95 prix fix dinner menu on Fri and Sat and it changes seasonally. Food-wise, they are def Michelin-worthy restaurant (probably not a full 1 star but a half which obviously doesn’t exist but should give you a sense of the food quality, taste and presentation). We personally love coming here and have been frequenting it more than we probably should. Great for a special occasion or just a quiet upscale-ish dinner.”

”This place is like a H Mart on steroids. They have products for many different Asian countries, including China, Philippines, Korea, Vietnam, and many more. You can find any saws, condiment, or fresh fruits and vegetables. Albeit, sometimes the quality of a few products could be a lot better. Just as a case in point, I bought three coconuts to make Puerto Rican coquito and they were all bad when I opened them. Of course with coconuts it is really difficult to know before you open them. Most of the other fruits and vegetables I have bought their have been fresh. I also like the fish department as they offer a variety of fresh and frozen seafood. This includes, wild caught seafood which is my preference as opposed to farm raised. They have a houseware I which sells quite a variety of different cooking utensils, pots, pans and kitchen necessities. They have a pretty decent cooked meal area where you can get them, amazing fried fish, rice and other Chinese delicacies. They have a number of really good Korean products including kimchi in their back freezers. You can find many exotic chips, cookies and snacks. I have tried quite a few of them, including the more fishy flavored ones. My favorite part is all the different Lays potato chips varieties that they offer which we normally would and fighting in ShopRite or other supermarkets. If you're looking for food for a recipe that calls for these ingredients you can't go wrong visiting and purchasing things here. There is available parking in a lot of different places as this is part of a larger shopping plaza that includes, Lowe's Home Store, Panera, Aldi, and a few more places.”

Ambiance was nice and chic-looking with the option of outdoor seating (we decided to sit indoor since it was a bit hot outside). Once we were all seated, our server was attentive and helpful in choosing our cocktails to start off with. I decided to try the Watermelon Sames, which tasted refreshing and perfect for the summer (comes with a watermelon ball)! We also ordered a bunch of appetizers such as the seafood tower, truffle fries, goat cheese croquettes, etc. followed by our entreé, where majority of us ordered the braised short ribs. All tasted amazing and cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend for a celebration! Would also come back to check out their happy hour.”

Carmen’s is a restaurant literally next to the dock where the kids could stare in wonderment at the many boats that were coming in and out. The restaurant itself is relatively plain and simple; wooden benches and wooden table fill the dining room (amazingly built by hand by Carmen himself) and ceiling fans fill the overhead area. There is no AC so it can get warm, but you don’t notice because of the freshness and flavors of your seafood. I got the deluxe a la Carmen platter and would go back and do it again immediately. So much delectable and fresh flavors and seafood all in one dish. It was fantastic. Everybody’s meals were great. Definitely a fantastic place for seafood and really great for those larger groups.”
