“I stayed here for my cousin's wedding. It was great having everyone stay in the same place. We were able to gather in the beautiful community spaces in the lobby (which also included a bar) as well as outdoors. There is a large parking lot with free parking. The rooms were well kept and spacious. They offer complimentary coffee in the morning as well as a $17 all you can eat breakfast. There are several options for vegetarian or dairy allergies. There is also a gym and pool on site for use.”

“Been on & off the island for years now. Have dined in here on multiple occasions, & very sad to say I get disappointed with each visit. First reason being, the menu doesn’t change, & despite being told they now have a new chef I really don’t see much difference. Second reason being, the food prices & quality, the food & dishes not only haven’t changed much at all over the years as previously mentioned, but the prices do not match the quality of what is on the menu. The drinks and atmosphere are the only thing that have kept me returning, although the drinks are pricey, the quality reflects the value. If you live in the area & don’t just stop in once for a quick visit you’d see where my disappointment comes from. Hopefully management listens to some criticism and opens ears to me and other locals who’d agree.”

“Beach block makes this a great location. Rooms have been modernized, are well kept and the price is reasonable. The owners and their staff are all friendly and very accommodating. The Florentine is very clean and the owners are on-site to keep everything running smoothly. Jim & Shannon went out of their way to offer their assistance even offering the use of a lift to help my special-needs son into the pool! This is a family oriented motel so of course they don't condone disruptive, obnoxious behavior, which is greatly appreciated! Already pre-booked for next year!”

”Absolutely loved this hotel and it’s amazing location with beautiful views of the city. The rooms were extremely clean, and service was excellent with staff bringing what we needed to our room promptly. Me and my family were disappointed to hear upon checking in that their pool was out of service and would not be open for the duration of our stay. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing for sure. Overall, I would stay again especially for those looking to head into the city as the ferry terminal is literally right across the street.”

”A few years ago, the owners did a tasteful renovation of the entire property. The rooms are logically arranged and appointed, the smallish common area is inviting, and the fitness center (which as far as I can tell is never used) is perfectly fine for a smaller hotel. The attached restaurant is good (not cheap) and has a great bar. The included breakfast is about what you would expect. Eggs, bacon, potatoes, yogurts, waffles, etc. Good coffee, too.”

”The rooms and lobby of this hotel were fine. Holiday Inn Express can sometimes be hit or miss. Comfortable beds. Once we figured out the heat/cool it was comfortable. No one came to make beds or change towels so I gave it 2 stars. We were able to get towels from a cleaning lady in hall. The one real negative is the location. We were there for a hockey tournament. The rink was only 3 miles down the road which was convenient but it is not a good area. Across the street is a very sketch motel. Many closed businesses and hotels in area. When we arrived there were a ton of cops at the hotel. Most on our team decided to go to AC and stay in a casino which is safer, cleaner and obviously more entertainment. The hotel has a nice view out back of the bay and you can go sit out under gazebos for a smoke or just to enjoy the day. I would say if you want to be in AC area not a bad option but not a place if you want to go out at night.”

”Location is indeed the only one thing good about this place. We were exhausted already by plane and road trip, and we def didn't need those 30 mins nonstop talking w front desk on top during check-in... The rooms look really old, the toilet was clogged for entire staying and, I guess it was housekeeping, who opened our door without knocking, nor checking if we were there. I closed the door first time, but they were banging door without even thinking why it could get closed on lock!!!!”

”We had such an amazing stay at the Driftwood! They renovated their rooms, new flooring, bathroom, and nicely put together. Being by the beach it’s hard to avoid the flies that are attracted to the light outside the door at night that’s expected just be quick when going inside and don’t leave it open. AC worked perfectly it was nice and cold, beds were comfortable, great sized fridge we were able to fit all our drinks and food, we went to the local stop n shop and liquor store which was super convenient, also lots of places to eat near by. Parking was totally fine never had an issue. The snack bar was so nice and delicious, you must get a bacon egg and cheese! You can’t beat it because it’s right on the beach, free access, and heated private pool which was super clean. It was relatively quiet too with some noise late at night or early morning but honestly slept perfectly fine, TV worked good and shower was so nice. Water was very hot too. Check in was pretty simple and quick. I appreciated that Betty-ann gave me a courtesy call to see when I would be arriving, that’s a nice personal touch and she asked us how the room was once we came back out. This is a busy place and I can see why! It’s really a great deal considering you’re on the beach and within a 10 minute walk to the boardwalk. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a mini beach getaway. Also ice cream and Italian ice everywhere, there’s so many places to try! Very family oriented which is super nice. Between the cafes, ice cream shops, boardwalk and restaurants we ate good! Loved our stay here and we will be back!”

”This hotel is the most perfect and adorable place I have stayed all summer. From the cute sitting area and lobby to the beautiful view of the ocean from our bedroom. But what truly blew me out of the water was Teresa at the front desk! She was the most kind, caring, and adorable woman. She made me feel right at home.. she gave us a quick tour of the downstairs offered recommendations for bars and even looked up what bands were playing for my boyfriend and I to see. She was the best! Thank you Teresa!!”

”No frills motel, but all you need for an enjoyable stay. Pro’s-Pool was fantastic, very clean and had plenty of lounge chairs and umbrella tables. Netted low side for kids. Many bbq grills to accommodate everyone. Kind staff. Working elevator. Maid service was sufficient. Fridge was large enough and had microwave in room. Room was basic but clean. I would suggest staying on the pool side which we did as you can’t see the boardwalk from the other side anyway. Right near island bagels which was a nice breakfast/coffee spot. 3 minute walk to boardwalk and closest street to the pier which has the best rides. Cons- could use a few stand alone umbrellas by the pool to move around where needed. Would be a nice touch to offer coffee and water in lobby.”

”We went to Holiday inn Piscataway for the New year Bash and had a fun filled evening.it was amazing time with friends and family.Their were more than 300 people but the arrangements were flawless with multi cuisine appetizers and dinner. The dance floor and music was in giant Ballroom with a belly dance and dholi performance. Lots of fun,music, food and drinks. Our group decided to stay back at the hotel.the kids enjoyed the pool. We loved the brunch next day morning. We all had one of the best new year celebrations and we will come back here again. Staff was amazing.”

”The rooms had a smell of mold which we found out was do to the furniture, the dresser was full of mold, we couldn’t put our clothes in it. The nightstand also reeked of mold. The bathroom had no ventilation so you can only imagine how that smelled. They charge guests for the beach passes! They charge 1/2 price but we shouldn’t have been charged at all. WE will definitely NOT be back!”
