“Family and I had a great experience. Ran into a little issue with breakfast but it was fixed immediately! The gym was nice. The staff were beyond kind and helpful whenever any inconvenience came up. The hotel is located in the middle of multiple cities and attractions, the traffic tends to get a little crazy. Makes it hard to get into and out of the hotel entry/exit way. If you are going too fast, you may miss the entrance of the hotel. You do have to pay for parking, but it is surprisingly cheap compared to the other hotels in the area. I will definitely book again if I ever travel back to this area of New Jersey.”

“My wife and I had a short, weekend stay. We got in around midnight on Friday and the lobby was bright and inviting after a long day of travel. We were greeted at the front desk by Brian, the same person I had made my reservations with. We had a great chat and I was absolutely thrilled with our accommodations. The suite was clean and quite frankly everything looked new and updated. Breakfast the next day was pretty much what you would expect, but the food area was really nicely kept and the eating area was really nice and comfortable. I've been a Hilton Honors member for many years. Truth be told many of my recent stays in NJ were at another Hilton property. This one outclassed that property by leaps and bounds. So Shout out to Brian, a man of his word, and this place will get my business from now on.”

“The location is super, and the hotel is one of the nicest in this area. The rooms overlooking the river has a perfect view all day long. Don't settle for the bay view unless there is no other availability. Dining in the hotel is your best choice as there is nothing near, but the quality is fair while the price is good and the portions are big. The bar is open late, which is excellent. My reason for this rating was that the Mini fridge inside my room was not working properly, and all my special meals went to the garbage. The air conditioner was very noisy too. Other than those 2 small problems, the hotel is very nice and the stuff is helpful. I hope that they take care of the room amenities and update them as this hotel has a lot of potential.”

“We stayed in one of the newly renovated beach front suites on the second floor. Spacious deck with full view of the ocean, nicely decorated and high end finishes. It was one of the best rooms we've rented in over 25 years of the Jersey shore. Can't wait to go back in the summer. Access to pool and the Rusty nail with it's outdoor beach and fire pits make it feel like a resort.”

”We stayed here for Thanksgiving and the 2 room, 1 bedroom suite was way too small for three people. Luckily we were able to upgrade to the 2 bedroom suite. I would highly recommend this for groups of 3 or more. Daniel was absolutely amazing and so wonderful helping us with the upgrade. He arranged for our luggage to be moved to the new room. He even waited around until we returned later in the day to make sure that we got our keys and the everything was sorted. We were all so impressed with his customer service. All in all the staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Definitely a stand out team!”

We were able to gather in the beautiful community spaces in the lobby (which also included a bar) as well as outdoors. There is a large parking lot with free parking. The rooms were well kept and spacious. They offer complimentary coffee in the morning as well as a $17 all you can eat breakfast. There are several options for vegetarian or dairy allergies. There is also a gym and pool on site for use.”

”During an unfortunate time in our lives my boys and I were living in hotels for about 7 months. We stayed here because the rooms were affordable compared to hotels around it. Their deposit is only $25 and usually refunded back to my card a few minutes after check out, where nearby hotels were asking for $250 and $300. The rooms are clean and updated with a refrigerator/microwave combo, 40 inch TV, heat/air conditioner. There's free parking and wifi. Walking distance from restaurants. They have free continental breakfast and free coffee/ tea all day. There's a small convenience store with an ATM near the front desk. They have a 24 hour gym. The room that wound up being our home for 5 months was perfect. It had a patio that led to a fenced in yard where pets or children can run and play. The staff were nothing short of phenomenal from the manager Kaigu (I know I'm speling it wrong), the front desk staff, the Cafe staff, to the cleaning crew. They were all pleasant and professional and treated my boys and I like family. The grounds are beautiful, it's the perfect place for a wedding, party, or any special event where you want the luxury without the price tag. Once they realized my situation, they made us feel welcomed. This place and their staff made a difficult time that much easier for my boys and I. I'll never forget the kindness they showed us. Now that we've finally found a home, we still consider the Wilshire Grand or home away from home. I'm so grateful to the staff. I'll never forget that in my time of need, you all shown me and my children that there are still good people in this world. Thank you.”

”My overall experience here at the Hampton Inn was great. This was the first Hampton I've been to that had an actual bar with non hotel bar prices. I did get two beverages, and they were very good. That room was clean, and the bathroom was clean as well. The hospitality I received while there was top tier. No matter who was at the front desk, we were greeted the same, and I was able to talk to both lady's that worked there. I will be back and thank you for the experience.”

”Stunning. Felt like a movie star every time I interacted with staff. I was in a friend's wedding here and the event staff, Donna and Petra especially, were exceptional. Every detail was taken care of and they kept a level head and rolled with the punches. One bartender in particular, Joey, was truly awesome. He was funny and witty, and really paid attention to the guests. It looked like he was having fun the whole time and he had a positive attitude that was contagious! The surf and turf dinner was absolutely delicious. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, and in the winter the price for a king studio suite was unbeatable. No standard rooms here, suites only. Price goes up in the summer months but that is to be expected. Stunning, modern, luxurious. I would come here again and again if I could. ”Great experience. We did have an issue with our digital key not loading on the app, but the front desk was able to quickly get us keys and send us on our way. The hotel is easily accessible and in a seemingly safe area. The room was well maintained and clean. We were on the top floor and heard no outside noise from the hallway or adjoining rooms. The pool and breakfast areas were also well kept and the breakfast room had ample seating. Breakfast was the typical Hampton fare, but I was happy to find individual bottles of milk in the cooler with the yogurt.”

”Less than welcoming check-in experience, like we were bothering them. The rooms were somewhat dated and both rooms had dirty carpets. It was nice to have a mini fridge. Breakfast was barely over continental. Potatoes were undercooked. No cream or half/half for coffee except for coffee mate. Turkey sausage was a challenge to swallow…flavorless. No orange juice (broken). Better than nothing but would have went out for a real breakfast had we stayed longer. My towel was also stained, which was disconcerting. It just did not live up to the Hilton brand, which I normally book.”

”Been on & off the island for years now. Have dined in here on multiple occasions, & very sad to say I get disappointed with each visit. First reason being, the menu doesn’t change, & despite being told they now have a new chef I really don’t see much difference. Second reason being, the food prices & quality, the food & dishes not only haven’t changed much at all over the years as previously mentioned, but the prices do not match the quality of what is on the menu. The drinks and atmosphere are the only thing that have kept me returning, although the drinks are pricey, the quality reflects the value. If you live in the area & don’t just stop in once for a quick visit you’d see where my disappointment comes from. Hopefully management listens to some criticism and opens ears to me and other locals who’d agree.”

”I don't typically review, but I felt it was necessary this time. I'm from upstate and wanted to just take an overnight or two trip down to the city to see the lights, etc. But in being from the city I know the expense and irritation I consistently feel when I stay at hotels. Plus we were mostly in Manhattan and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on the stay. I must say, I don't understand that bad reviews, I was nervous about choosing the hotel, but after my stay I'm really glad I did. The room was clean, fresh, checked the mattresses, no bugs, no nothing. Lobby is pretty, and staff is very helpful and friendly. Jordan and Giovanna were very kind during our stay. Giovanna even pointed out to us that right across the street literally like 15 feet away, there's a round trip bus that'll take you from jersey to the city. I thought that was especially helpful, round trip is like 9 bucks a person, and kids under 11 are 5 or 4, it was nice since it ended up being the same 30 you spend in tolls going back in forth, not to mention the insane parking situation in Manhattan were not only is there never a spot, but parking is 15 for two hours or 30/40 for 3?!?! Outrageous. So the second day we die the bus and it was a life saver it drops you right at the port authority near times Square. So overall I enjoyed the stay, the breakfast was mid, but for free, plus we got down there late, can't complain. Bathrooms were also very clean ans fresh, good floors, rooms looked newer and not musty at all, plus the shower curtain was so clean and that's such a big ick at most hotels. Anyways, glad I took the chance will be staying again for sure, check in and check out was very pleasant. And for $150 you can't beat it with the time of the year and convenience. ”Very clean, nice rooms that are very spacious. Got a great deal online for a few days. They have a smaller sized indoor pool which was very clean but slightly warm on hot days. The staff was very professional and helpful. The maids were slightly loud and unprofessional talking about guests out loud, but guess that can be anywhere. They also have a two or three hole golf putting area which is cool for little kids.”
