“This review is for the restaurant only. I have visited previously and enjoyed a lovely breakfast on my way through. However, this visit was for dinner and it was not so good an experience. An entree sized main of lamb arrived lukewarm and over done. When the waiter asked if everything was ok I mentioned the lamb was overcooked and even gristly. Nothing transpired as a result. I think $48 is a price that warrants a fine dish, and it just wasn't. The view is spectacular and the space is beautiful but on this occasion the food did not meet the required standard.”

“The kitchen plates and utensils were greasy and dirty from previous guests that didn’t clean them well. It seems it is the responsibility of the guests to clean, dry and put away any items used and you must also take out the rubbish before you check out. The listing states that all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized, mmm I beg to differ our place was not very clean. The kitchen utensils are old and cheap, the electric fry pan was old and gross. I spent an hour cleaning it before I could use it only the realize that my fried eggs all fall to the middle of the frypan as the surface is uneven, I decided to use the stove instead and used a cheap frypan provided which is bowed in the middle of it so my eggs ran to the corners of the pan and the electric stove was slow to heat. Perhaps you could look at replacing some of these items so guests can use them. Another interesting point is that you also have to make your own bed if you booked a double room. The main bed is made but the kids beds just have sheets on it and you’re expected to make them yourself. I guess I’d say this place felt more like we rented a camp site with rooms but at a price comparable to a motel room. If none of what I experienced bothers you then you’ll love everything about this property. If they improved these items I would likely stay again hence why I’ve given them 3 out of 5 stars.”

“Stayed here for New Years. We booked a room for 2 with the balcony and requested to get a room with city view so we could see the Fireworks. We got what we asked for. Room was beautiful, very clean & sound proof. Everything we needed was there. Room service was amazing. Pool, food, drinks with in the hotel were fantastic. The best bed I've ever slept in! So luxurious, felt like you were on cloud 9. Even the Shower was Fantastic! Water pressure was great. Body wash, Shampoo, Conditioner & Body lotion were great quality & smelled amazing. They were in large 500ml bottles with pumps, you'd never run out. I would buy them for home if they sold them. Anything we needed was brought up to our room. Lots of food places walking distance from the hotel. On new years, felt like we were part of a huge New Years party. On the balcony we could see appartments and felt like whole Melbourne was screaming Happy New Year! Watching Fireworks! Great atmosphere to celebrate 2024! Ones we closed the balcony doors, we were away from it all & couldn't hear anyone. Absolutely 5 stars stay! Thank you to all Booking, Reception, Room Service & Restaurant staff for making our stay so fantastic. “In the middle of January my wife and two crazy boys (20 months and 3 years old) stay on a powered site in our camper. The grounds and sites were immaculately presented and maintained and the park had awesome facilities. Our kids loved the pool, outdoor playground, mini town and indoor play area. The toilets and showers were all cleaned very regularly and the staff were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be coming back! Thanks Big 4 Tasman Bendigo!”

Menu recently changed apparently and is different to what you can see online Char-grilled Calamari entree & new mains included Kangaroo loin and also venison with blueberry. We had to try all the above as well as sides of chips and roasted beetroot Great service and the food was exceptionally good. “This is a stunning place. Our son had his wedding here 10 days ago. The grounds are incredible, beautiful lush gardens. Spectacular. The staff were very attentive, the food enjoyed by all. The pavilion is so stylish, just an excellent venue. I would suggest though the access to the bathrooms need looking at. There are limited loos, with an uneven path to access them. They are not too easy for folks with mobility issues. It would be good to look at this in future.”

“We only had two days in Warrnambool but we loved our stay at this hotel. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they clearly enjoy their work. The room was absolutely spotless and the bed was lovely and comfortable. It's a great location for walking to the beach, the RSL and the town centre. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, both meals were good quality with a decent range of food and local wines on the menu. Staff in the restaurant are knowledgeable about the food and wines and happy to make amendments to meals where possible. We always stay here when we are in Warrnambool as we find the service and level of amenities are consistently high. Thanks for making our short holiday extra special.”
