Firstly, we got great advice on which carpet we should choose and we are very happy with the quality and price. But the best service was when we came around to installation. Due to delays from our builder, a mistake from me and and the Xmas rush, we almost missed getting the carpet installed before Xmas day, which would have been a disaster. Baldy managed to get the install date prior to Xmas and worked pretty hard to do so. Fowles are a great company to deal with.”

Really bad attitude. Acts like he didn’t have the time of day to help a customer and was too annoyed to speak to anyone. If you’re too moody to work in customer service then don’t, customers don’t need to feel like they are an inconvenience shopping at your work to pay your wages to get disgusting attitude.”

“Late last month I noticed my fridge might have a gas leak. I called up The Good Guys thinking they'd help me out by picking it up. Instead, they said I had to lug it over to them myself – not what I was expecting, especially given the potential dangers of a leaky fridge. After I dropped it off with them, weeks went by. Then out of the blue, they tell me I've got to come pick up the still-broken fridge and handle things with the manufacturer directly. Honestly, that felt like a bit of a kick in the teeth, especially since I'd already gone out of my way to get the fridge to them in the first place. I refused to pick it up under those circumstances. Now we're halfway through this month, and guess what? I'm still fridge-less, and they still have it. Not thrilled with how The Good Guys have handled things, and just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else who might be dealing with them. Update as of October 16, 2023: I was recently contacted by a representative from The Good Guys who offered a resolution to my situation. They provided two options: a full refund of the fridge's purchase price or a replacement with a new fridge. They seem genuine in their efforts to rectify the situation, which I appreciate. Still, the overall experience has been mixed due to the initial difficulties.”

Over the past 30 years, we have often ended up at Good Guys when purchasing products they sell. They have stocked a good range of quality products and offered very good after sales service on the very few occasions we have needed it. We have always been able to walk out with the product we wanted or have been able to arrange for good quality delivery and or installation at a reasonable price. As with all large item purchases, we go prepared; after researching the product, we're looking to purchase and becoming aware of the best prices on offer in store, as well as online. Definitely don't assume online purchase prices are cheaper or a better overall deal. I have always been able to improve on those by negotiating in person with sales staff and/or Department Managers. They are usually prepared to negotiate on their in store advertised price also in order to better the best price you've been quoted by a competitor. You just need to ask. If not, you may have to go elsewhere. It's worth it as you can save a lot, particularly on big ticket items. Don't be afraid to ask sales staff questions on other aspects of the product to ensure you purchase a product you will be happy with and meets your needs.”

My kids loved it as the variety and collections were huge, though at an expense. I'd still think any toy store could have some more cheap basic toys, but that shouldn't take it from this shop. It's amazing for being here and also has some collectibles!”
