“The kitchen plates and utensils were greasy and dirty from previous guests that didn’t clean them well. It seems it is the responsibility of the guests to clean, dry and put away any items used and you must also take out the rubbish before you check out. The listing states that all surfaces are cleaned and sanitized, mmm I beg to differ our place was not very clean. The kitchen utensils are old and cheap, the electric fry pan was old and gross. I spent an hour cleaning it before I could use it only the realize that my fried eggs all fall to the middle of the frypan as the surface is uneven, I decided to use the stove instead and used a cheap frypan provided which is bowed in the middle of it so my eggs ran to the corners of the pan and the electric stove was slow to heat. Perhaps you could look at replacing some of these items so guests can use them. Another interesting point is that you also have to make your own bed if you booked a double room. The main bed is made but the kids beds just have sheets on it and you’re expected to make them yourself. I guess I’d say this place felt more like we rented a camp site with rooms but at a price comparable to a motel room. If none of what I experienced bothers you then you’ll love everything about this property. If they improved these items I would likely stay again hence why I’ve given them 3 out of 5 stars.”

“We had our wedding at The Mercure on 2/9/23 and it was amazing. Everything looked beautiful, everything was clean, the staff were all very lovely. They price for a Wedding there is among the cheapest we had found and it was a one stop shop. Ceremony, Reception, Photos and accommodation all on site. We had Nadia as our event coordinator and she was incredible. Gave us ideas we hadn't thought of but also total creative freedom for the space. She even went on the hunt the night before for my favourite wine. She is the perfect coordinator.”

“In the middle of January my wife and two crazy boys (20 months and 3 years old) stay on a powered site in our camper. The grounds and sites were immaculately presented and maintained and the park had awesome facilities. Our kids loved the pool, outdoor playground, mini town and indoor play area. “This is a stunning place. Our son had his wedding here 10 days ago. The grounds are incredible, beautiful lush gardens. Spectacular. The staff were very attentive, the food enjoyed by all. The pavilion is so stylish, just an excellent venue. I would suggest though the access to the bathrooms need looking at. There are limited loos, with an uneven path to access them. They are not too easy for folks with mobility issues. It would be good to look at this in future.”

“A good caravan park just outside the city. The sites we stayed at were clean. Amenities were clean and central. The pool was a nice size and clean. Apart from the pool there wasn't much else offered, the TV room is exactly as named a TV in a room with a couch and games rooms had a pool table, this isn't a bad thing as there is so much located around the park. A good stay.”

“We only had two days in Warrnambool but we loved our stay at this hotel. All the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble and they clearly enjoy their work. The room was absolutely spotless and the bed was lovely and comfortable. It's a great location for walking to the beach, the RSL and the town centre. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, both meals were good quality with a decent range of food and local wines on the menu. Staff in the restaurant are knowledgeable about the food and wines and happy to make amendments to meals where possible. We always stay here when we are in Warrnambool as we find the service and level of amenities are consistently high. Thanks for making our short holiday extra special.”

“Upon entering the hotel, an immediate sense of discomfort overwhelmed us, starting with an unprepared check-in at 2:00 pm. The lifts, not meeting safety standards were a real concern which added to the uneasy feeling. Once in our rooms, the atmosphere was dreary, with a pervasive smell of smoke masked by cheap perfume. The soft, uncomfortable beds and a non-functional room phone further marred our experience. Booked three rooms, and each fell short of satisfaction. Despite the unsatisfactory conditions and a departure in less than an hour, the hotel insisted on charging the full fare upon cancellation. This policy, combined with the disappointing experience, adds to the overall dissatisfaction with the establishment. The situation was truly disheartening. Despite requesting a room change due to these issues, the inspection merely involved more deodorant spraying. The breaking point was a dirty dishwasher, leading us to leave this disappointing establishment. This hotel warrants serious reconsideration.”
