“The place is worth the visit. Get there early. The food is incredibly delicious. The sea bass portion was more than expected and the desserts are wonderful. The scallops could have been cooked about another minute for my taste. Overall, our server, Ms. Lola, was nice and the service is great. The accordion music played by the young lady added to the delightful atmosphere.”

“We visited with a local friend while visiting from Calgary, Alberta so we have an affinity to streak. The staff was great and knowledgeable. The food was a 10 or of 10 from the salads to the steaks and sides. If you have not been you owe it to yourself to visit.”

“Great place with superb food and atmosphere. Not really a place if you like solitude or privacy because you are pretty cozy to the people at the adjacent tables. Food is pretty simple and delicious. It seems the steak was very popular when we were there but I had the 2 duck breast dinner which was made perfectly but my husband had the Cioppino which was barely edible. The Cioppino was super salty and actually made him sick after eating for 2 days afterwards. I felt bad for him after I tasted it but he's not one to complain and tried eating it as he didn't want to ruin our anniversary dinner by making a complaint. We did also order the Jumbo shrimp sauteed in white wine and butter sauce and the Cheesy roasted brussel sprouts with shallots as starters that were very pleasing.”

The Dining Room @ Salish Lodge & Spa

“We attended a birthday event here recently. Service was okay, food was okay, private room ($100+tip+tax) was okay. In my opinion, everything is overpriced. >20% tip added for everything pre-tax. $54+tip+tax for a pork chop and mashed potatoes seemed unjustified. It was good, but about $18 good. Overall, this is not a place I would return to myself. I'm not worried about impressing anyone, and I've had equally good food at diners for 1/4 the cost. If being seen in the right place matters, maybe it's for you. *Update; The manager replied to this review and asked me to email them. I did send them an email providing greater details, no reply back.”

Cafe Juanita

”Came to Cafe Juanita to celebrate husband's birthday a week early while daughter is in town on Christmas break. This is our favorite place, bar none, and we have been coming for many years since we moved to Kirkland. Currently they are serving pre fixe menus with omnivore, pescatarian, vegetarian and vegan selections. We had omnivore and vegetarian courses. Everything was so fresh, expertly crafted and prepared, down to the house made foccacia and cheese crackers in their bread service. Service at Cafe Juanita is always impeccable. Friendly and welcoming, they present each course with detailed introduction of ingredients and preparation. If you are looking for an exceptional place for special occasion, or simply an excellent Italian meal, it's hard to find a better place.”

”Went early on a weeknight, and the place was quite crowded. Bar area is a bit chaotic. People sit and get drinks, some are waiting for tables, and some are not. When we went to take a seat at the bar, a couple from a different section of the bar got up, cut us off, and took the seats the staff had just cleaned off for us. Staff didn't say anything. We then had to wait for the staff to clean the bar seats that the couple had just vacated. Made no sense to us, and honestly, a little rude. Food was tasty, and other than the staff not speaking up earlier, they were great.”

”Context: Went with one other person for the Christmas Eve dinner at 7:30 PM or so. They had a 4 course Christmas menu for $95 per person, which looked like it consisted of normal menu items but smaller and fitting a set menu. Course 1: Appetizers We got a winter salad and lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was more like lobster soup with some chunks of lobster. I don't think it actually contained cream, making it watery, but the lobster flavor was intense, and it was good overall if you like briney things. The winter salad was comparatively stingy, consisting of berries on arugula with a vinaigrette. The vinaigrette was salty and tangy and probably the best part of the dish. The berries and arugula were tasty, but sparse. For example, there were literally two blackberries and a pinch of julienned apples in the whole dish. The blueberries and pomegranate seeds were a bit more abundant, but the arugula itself was meager in portion. Kind of disappointing for the beginning of a nearly $100 meal. Course 2: Small bites/Hors d'oeuvres We ordered their caviar and smoked salmon crostini and American wagyu bites. There were two nonuniform crostini with a small piece of smoked salmon, goat cheese(?), and caviar on top. The salmon was so strong as to overpower any nuance or delicacy of the other components of the dish. Overall disappointing (the salmon was tasty, though). The American wagyu bites were a lot better. Chunks of grilled beef came in a soup/sauce with a piece of grilled bread on top. Everything about the dish was fantastic. The sauce was some kind of (tastefully) spicy tomato-based sauce that was flavorful without being overwhelming. It was almost bowl-licking good. If they have this in their regular menu, I would highly recommend it. The beef was tender and flavorful, with some char for contrast. Even the bread was delightful and the grill marks added tasty intrigue (did that make sense? In any case, it was good). The meal started to turn around at this point. Course 3: Main course We got a pan roasted half jidori chicken and a Maine lobster risotto. They were both great. Even a half chicken (wing, thigh, leg, and breast) was a decent amount of food. The breast was a little dry, unfortunately, but the rest of the chicken was flavorful and juicy. It looked like they marinate their chicken with a layer of yogurt or goat cheese between the skin and the meat, which added a nice punch to an already decent chicken. I honestly couldn't tell that much of a difference between a standard supermarket chicken and this Jidori chicken, but it was good in any case. The other garnishes were nice, but I must give a shoutout to the cipollini onions - so tasty. The risotto's texture was not quite chewy and not quite crunchy, but just right. The primary flavor was that of tarragon and lobster. They were generous with the lobster chunks. It was filling and never tiring - a great entree and experience. Course 4: Desserts We got the pistachio gelato and Mama's tiramisu. We were actually debating between the flourless chocolate cake and the tiramisu, but were told that the cake was quite sweet and the tiramisu is less so. The tiramisu ended up being the right amount of sweetness to balance the bitterness from the chocolate and coffee flavors. It was unlike most tiramisus I've had and more like a cake in its textures and layers (no lady fingers or biscuits). However, it was great. Each layer was distinct and tasty. We were told that they use Bailey's Irish cream, so just a warning to those who might be sensitive to alcohol. Miscellaneous: Service was excellent and servers were attentive. Food came out fairly quickly for a busy day. There was a service fee and a mandatory gratuity that were calculated on the post-tax total. So the 3.5% service fee was actually 3.9% and the mandatory gratuity (if applicable) was 22% rather than 20% as listed. Reasonable but shady, I thought. Even for Seattle, I'd probably not want to pay more than $75 for what was served here taking into account quality and (lack of) originality. 3/5”

”We picked up sandwiches from her and took them to Golden Gardens for a beach day. The sandwich itself is very easy to eat and definitely recommend if you were planning on eating at another place since it was not messy at all. I got the original fresh veggie sandwich. I was not expecting too much since I saw it was only veggies, but I was pleasantly surprised. The sauce itself made the sandwich very delicious and surprisingly savory and the pickles added a surprising crunch and worked well with the overall sandwich. Definitely recommend this sandwich.”

”We called to order and the person was nice and informed us what to expect for wait time for pick up and that they'd text if it’s ready sooner. We got the text that our pizza was in the oven and when it would be ready. We visit Moses Lake a few times a year and found great reviews about this place. It did not disappoint. Large parking lot. Busy on Friday afternoon. Plenty of picnic tables available inside but we took ours to go. The staff members were really nice and efficient. The pizza was fantastic!”

”Someone needs to explain who is putting these false reviews on this place. Their pizza is NOT good. Very little flavor, they mess up your order all the time. We've been patient 3 times now, but no more. The truth needs to be told. Cornerstone Pie is WAY overpriced. No way a personal pizza should cost $15!!@@. Maybe it's because there's 6 employees getting paid to stand around, shrug their shoulders and say 'oh well, I didn't do it". We're done with this place.”

”We explored this Italian Mediterranean gem in the Ballard neighborhood. From the small plates, we indulged in the grilled artichoke and oyster mushrooms, which set the stage for what was to come. The star of the show was undoubtedly the pacherri pasta, its circular shape reminiscent of calamari. The crumbly chili pieces added a pleasant kick, although I personally could have used a bit more heat. Now, for the vegetable dishes, they were described as grilled or roasted, but in my opinion, they leaned more toward a charred flavor profile, which wasn't to my taste. However, my friend adored the charred bits, and I'm glad someone enjoyed them. For cocktails, I had the Cozumel cooler martini, which I loved! The icing on the cake was everything was reasonably priced. A unique dining experience with a few surprises, but overall, a great find in Seattle, made even better by the pleasant outdoor and indoor seating options.”

”Great place, it is very rustic and it seems like you're walking into a different era. It was a little hard to talk over dinner because there was a group next to us; I'm sure the rock walls don't help suppress the sound. We were not very hungry so we just got a couple appetizers. It's roughly $12 per appetizer and $25 per main course, which is reasonable for the location and the vibe. Overall, it was around a 4.5 star experience just because of the loud sound.”

”Southhill’s Republic Pi tosses boldly-flavored wood-fired pizza (no wonder, it’s a sister restaurant to Flying Goat). Roosevelt swirl fries are hearty and delicious. Sip draft beers, watch sports on 4 large tv screens. Service is fast and friendly. 3-season outdoor seating. This place has bragging rights - the food is damn good.”

La Fontana Siciliana

120 Blanchard St, Seattle, WA 98121, United States

”The place is really great food wise. Very authentic Italian flavors, the olive oil used felt original - something super rare nowadays to find. Also if you visit the place, be ready to taste Italian the way it should be. I was impressed. As for the service and atmosphere, I didn't feel anything stands out. Honestly not super impressed but there is nothing in particular to complain. Simply put I have had better gestures when visiting a place matching La Fontana stature in the Greater Seattle area. Since this dinner was to celebrate a birthday, they could have maybe made dessert complimentary.”
