“Doe Bay has everything you could ever need for a weekend camping trip. We booked 2 camp sites for a group of 7. Stunning views of the ocean, islands, and mountains. Amazing customer service. Clean bathrooms and excellent guest kitchen. Going from the spa soaking tubs to a cold plunge into the ocean is the most magical experience. Can’t wait to come back and check out a yurt or cabin. We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant but it looked amazing. We saw plenty of harbor seals and even some porpoises from our campsite :)”

103907 Wiser Pkwy, Kennewick, WA 99338, United States

“A fantastic location conveniently situated just off Highway 82, this RV Park is impeccably maintained. The abundance of space between each site, adorned with lush grass, trees, and vibrant plants, creates a truly inviting atmosphere. The park boasts a wide range of amenities, although regrettably, we didn't have the opportunity to enjoy them all, including the laundry facilities, pool, hot tub, Direct TV, and WiFi. Making reservations online was a breeze, and locating our site after office hours was equally effortless. The added convenience of receiving text messages for reminders, updates, and event notifications enhanced our overall experience. One noteworthy aspect is their discount for Veterans, which certainly alleviated the overall cost. It's important to note that this RV resort falls on the higher end of the price spectrum, but the quality of the experience justifies the investment.”

2726 Makah Passage, Neah Bay, WA 98357, United States

“I absolutely love this place!! The scenery is gorgeous and the vibe is so laid back - exactly what camping should be like. Campsites are first-come-first-serve and the are no official sites, you just set up wherever you feel fits best. The off season was perfect because there were maybe 10 of us camping so we all had plenty of space and gorgeous spots. I also loved that there were a few local dogs who hung around the campground. They were so friendly towards people and other dogs and protected the campground from coyotes at night (yes, really! We heard one of them chase off multiple). It was also nice because we were able to let our dog off the leash as we walked around the campground. It seemed like as long as dogs were respectful and well-behaved, no one was bothered by it. The bathrooms were in decent condition so that makes me think feedback from a previous review was acted on, because they were in good condition during my stay. It's well off the beaten path so expect roads to be filled with pot holes, but nothing too serious. Our prius handled it just fine!”

Fidalgo Bay Rv Resort, Cabins And Event Venue

“I stayed here and because the spot was so small I had to park my truck in the over flow parking lot. Which was fine but the little old security guy when I pulled in after work one night was super rude and swung open my door super hard to the point I was gonna be super rude back, but I decided to be above that since I had a week left to stay here. I checked in late and checked in over the phone the next day. There was no packet waiting with directions and no parking pass waiting like at other rv resorts. When I called to pay I wasn’t told about a parking pass but the old security guard sure thought I should have known about it with his oversized head attitude. If a pass is required before you send out ranger rick please provide said pass.”

“I stayed in the RV resort. I had a pull forward spot right on the bay. It was just spectacular. Easy in and out for big rigs. Very well kept. Check in was simple and the lady helping me was super pleasant and helpful. I would definitely return here for a longer stay!”

Lopez Islander Resort And Marina

2864 Fisherman Bay Rd, Lopez Island, WA 98261, United States

”This is absolutely not a resort. More like a motel with a high price. Pictures are deceiving. Beds weren't very comfortable, rooms were clean though and beautiful views. This place could use a face lift and could be really nice.”

”Very nice lodge with a beautiful view. The whole feel of the place is relaxing. They keep the large fireplace going and lots of oversized chairs and couches where people sit around reading, drinking coffee, socializing and just relaxing. They have a swimming pool and a game room, a restaurant, gift shop and there's plenty to do in the area in terms of hiking and being in nature. This is definitely a place to go if you're looking to relax.”

Deer Park Campground

Port Angeles, WA 98362, United States

”So beautiful and peaceful. The long gravel road up keeps the traffic really low so you actually feel the quiet solitude. The road is in such good shape that even a small car could easily make it up. We hiked more than 8 miles and saw 8 other people (we saw more deer and grouse than people.)”

Ross Lake Resort

503 Diablo St, Rockport, WA 98283, United States

”Terrible communication for a place that provides the only way to shuttle kayaks into the lake for campers without entering another country. It doesn’t say anywhere on their portage site about SEASONAL CLOSURES and they are not associated with the National Forest. Meaning the rangers do not know when the shuttle is operating and when it is not. They will give you a permit to boat-in camp on the lake with no access to it. We got a permit to camp on Ross Lake over night this weekend. We stayed on Diablo the first night with plans to kayak up the lake and take the shuttle to our final camp destination the next day. We got to the phone and called and it just kept ringing and ringing. Finally a ranger pulled up in a boat, having no idea why they weren’t answering and was nice enough to radio in to find out that they were “probably not open for the season yet.” Luckily I had a satellite communicator and was able to message my wife to confirm what was going on. She called and there was voice message saying the water taxi was still closed for the season (nothing about portage, which is a separate service) at this point, because camping is strictly prohibited on Diablo without a permit, and because we were dropped off for the weekend we were stranded and had to abandon the weekend. Again, luckily we had a communicator and was able to message for an early ride home. Better communication is needed. Come on post a sign up at the phone or at least update your portage site WITH OPENING DATES.”

31199 WA-17, Coulee City, WA 99115, United States

”We’ve stayed in the both the cabins and have also done tent camping. Quickly becoming our favorite camping spot in eastern WA. For us, an overall better experience than a state run campground like Sun Lakes because it feels more like an intimate, family run and private experience compared to others. The staff are all amazing, super kind, treat you like family more than guests and work very hard to keep this place clean, sanitary and ready for every stay. They frequently check restrooms all throughout the day to make sure they’re clean and ready for use. Grass is always watered, green and trash free. There’s a store with anything you need, boat rentals, hot showers and a spacious place to camp whether it’s tent, RV or cabin. If you’re looking to get away from the busy, hectic state-run camp grounds, but still keep the full amenities of camping, then give this place a try. You can’t beat the hospitality, scenery, amenities and experience of this place. It gets better each time.”

Wilder And Pine Riverside Cabins

200 SW Cascade Ave, Stevenson, WA 98648, United States

”Riverside rustic rental cabins on the Columbia River. Easy to find. Not fancy but very comfortable and restful. Hot tubs for most cabins, some more secluded than others. Freight trains go by 24/7 so deal with it. Comfy foam earplugs are provided. I used them and slept soundly. Nice walking destinations everywhere (a distillery with tasting and tours is 2 blocks away). Big green lawns and magnificent views up and down the Gorge. The absolute best Jedi level hostess Lisa is in charge in the best possible way, she made the place welcoming and well appointed. Thoughtful amenities everywhere. Worth the shekels to stay a few days to relax and recharge.”

Shore Acres Resort

41987 Shore Acres Rd, Loon Lake, WA 99148, United States

”We love it here! Laid back friendly environment where your kids can play in lake. Store and cafe are super convenient, and the food is great. We have stayed in our camper as well as rented a cabin with a large group of people, both were awesome. The new owners take pride in getting to know guests and improving the property. And July 4th was freaking amazing!!!!”

Whispering Pines Rv Park
4.2
( 16 reviews )

100 Whispering Pines Dr, Cle Elum, WA 98922, United States

”We visited this park in early November so our experience may not be typical. The park is large with large campsites. There is easy river access and a small store on site. Ok for a single night stay, but there is not much going on in the area during our visit. Good: Quiet, clean, lots of trees and easy river access. Disappointing: Our space was not level. Road system is confusing and rough, sites are difficult to find. Overall feeling of being an abandoned area.”

”Shout out to Ramon, Josh, Elaine, and Pepper!! My family and I had a fantastic time because of these amazing people. All of these awesome individuals went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. I really appreciate all of their outstanding hospitality, service, caring personality, and kindness. The food was out of this world, top tier and great portions (thanks Josh)! It's people like Ramon, Josh, Elaine, and Pepper that make our day brighter and better! These people who light up the atmosphere deserve recognition for their hard work and love. It was a joy and a blast at the Bonaparte Lake Resort, and we're so excited to come back again! 10/10 stars”
