“Loved the place!! Living in IL for close to 30 years and moving to middle TN we have definitely missed real deal Chicago style food. I got the Italian beef with Mozz cheese and had it kissed in the sauce which was awesome but I think next time I'll get it fully dipped. Also had to of course get a Chicago dog and it was true all the way down to the relish. Awesome place and I even got flack for wearing my STL cardinals shirt which I assumed I would.”

“Cafe Roze is a relaxing but delicious experience! A friend & I were visiting from out of town where we saw this spot by the rental we were staying at. After peaking into the windows, we decided this would be a great spot to grab a quick breakfast & we were absolutely thrilled about how great it was. The environment of the restaurant was relaxing but provided a modern cozy vibe. The staff made us feel welcomed. Every table was full, but once we sat, it didn't feel overcrowded with the tables next to us. I ordered an iced vanilla latte, which was spot on. They had a small beer list but provided some local options, which we tried as well. My breakfast sandwich was delicious. It tasted so fresh & it was the perfect way to start my morning. The side salad had a solid dressing but the lettuce tasted a bit off. I didn't finish it due to that reason. Overall, if I'm ever back in the Nashville area, I look forward to stopping here again. I highly recommend it for your breakfast & caffeine needs!”

“I recently moved from Washington state and stopped in for a late lunch. The staff was amazing, friendly, informative, and fun! I have been back for dinner and music at least 4 times in the past two weeks...I absolutely love it❤ The atmosphere is glorious!! I had the opportunity to meet the owner Mark and he was wonderful too!! They have incredible local music 🎶 shout out to Johnny Mac...so talented!! “This is an outdoor eating or to go restaurant. They do have signs saying order here and eat next door at Mickey's, but we chose to eat outside since it was nice. The food is to die for. The Italian beef is spicy and well made. It's not as large as that of those in Chicago, but it is a good substitute for being away from Illinois. The pasta bowl is decently sized. I did the mushroom and onions/peppers on farfalle and you definitely get lots of veggies! The focaccia is by far the best I've probably ever had. It's moist and salty and you can taste the olive oil. The fresh cut fries were awesome. You get a lot of fries, so much that they couldn't be finished. I had leftover pasta to bring home that will taste delicious tonight! The outdoor seating has umbrellas and you get some interesting entertainment if you stay long enough as there is a cigarette/liquor store across the way. Parking is a little confusing and if it is busy, you won't find a place to park at all. Otherwise, I will definitely be stopping in to eat again! Very friendly staff and delicious food!”

“So I went for my birthday dinner. They were nice to push the reservation 2 days because of the cold weather which was great. Now we went in when they opened. There was a reservation for 530. We were there a way before our reservation we went in to be sit down. Our waiter was okay, but he was also busy. It seemed like the entire time on the phone and trying to run orders and trying to seat people. Along with the one other server that I saw. There was another guy that seemed like he was trying to do the bar and the kitchen on his own. And they were also still accepting people walking in without a reservation. We had to ask for more bread. We never got more water. Our table was tinded when the food came out and maybe one other time to ask if everything was O k, but otherwise we had to ask for things or you couldn't even ask for things or tell things to them because they were so busy with everyone else that nothing got tended to. Now the atmosphere was great. The food was amazing. I'm gonna put some pictures below. The only thing that was lacking for me was the service. Now the server was very nice and the other server helped him out as well. But either they didn't have enough help. Or they were accepting too many customers with too little weight staff. I understand that everyone is understaffed and people are calling in. People are doing this and doing that but again. I don't know if it's because of the owners or being able to afford it or what. But the service was slightly lacking compared to what I would think would be for a high upscale. Italian restaurant like this place advertises itself. To being said, the food was amazing. Yeah, my sphere is great. The service could have been better.”

“I place my order over the phone. Tell her I want to pay over the phone. She says only if that’s your only form of payment. I’m like um ok, I’ll just pay when I get there.. never once did they tell me it’s going to be a 3.5% convenience fee. I didn’t say anything about that.. I was in a hurry so I didn’t check the boxes before I left. I bought $45 worth of pizza. I get home and they look nasty and taste like rubber. I call and both the worker and manager were very rude. The manager interrupted me while I was talking and I told her don’t interrupt and let me finish. She tells me not to talk to her like that and hangs up the phone.. very unprofessional. I’ll never be back to Tullahoma Rafael’s again. Edited to respond: I did not yell at you until you were rude and interrupted me. And clearly the picture I posted with the review the pizza looks nasty. So imagine how it tasted. I had hungry kids, I couldn’t wait to bring pizza that should’ve been fresh the first time and make everybody’s kids wait even longer. So yes, like I said, you didn’t handle this professional at all! I never wanted free pizza. I wanted pizza that was fresh. By the picture, you can tell it was not fresh. You were rude, your pizza tasted like rubber. That’s all.”

“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Everything was exceptional from the moment we walked in the door. Codi was our server and he was so knowledgeable about the menu and what was made gluten free, so personable and very attentive. We ordered the potato and zucchini chips (pictured) and the fritto misto to start. Followed that by the pan seared salmon and filled veal chop and ended with the trio of sorbet. I’m already looking forward to my next visit - highly recommend!”

Got to meet the owner, really nice guy. Glad he left NY and came to Knoxville. I attempted to add pics but Google is flagging my photos as Spam. So I only added 1 of the pudding. Philly Chicken with extra cheese. Seasoning was spot on. It wasn't dry, I hate a dry Philly. Bread was fresh and toasted to help absorb all that peppery goodness. Chicago Italian Beef. All the flavors were there, this is coming from a mid-western boy. Only thing I suggest is ask for extra au jus on the side. Get it really wet and messy. The chocolate Whoopi Pie. Soft, fudge'i. Delicious. Banana Pudding. My only disappointment. It was good, but they use fake banana flavor pudding... 😔. I would eat it again, just not my favorite. Pros: Killer sandwichs, friendly staff, good prices, plenty of meat Cons: Closes early, banana pudding”

It feels a little pricey for the amount of food received, something I will probably eat once every few months, but got the spicy chicken and pickle pizza, fried pickles and peppers, and hot honey with basil. I love the thin crust and square cut, love the atmosphere, the chicken pickle pizza, the fried pickles and peppers, the atmosphere, and even the skeletons riding bikes. The organic wine selection was a little bit intimidating considering the cheapest bottle is $20 and ranges up to $30 but also it looks like they are a great selection and possibly even a great deal at the price point they are at. I've never heard of a pizza place selling good organic wines but I love the concept. I just don't love that two pizzas, a wine, and a side of fried pickles and peppers is about a $90 check and on top of it, it's carry out and the guy checking you out is sitting there making sure you leave him a tip on top of it before the food is even made... for carry out.. like what? I have very mixed feelings about this place but love the concept and enjoyed the food.”
