“Loved the place!! Living in IL for close to 30 years and moving to middle TN we have definitely missed real deal Chicago style food. I got the Italian beef with Mozz cheese and had it kissed in the sauce which was awesome but I think next time I'll get it fully dipped. Also had to of course get a Chicago dog and it was true all the way down to the relish. Awesome place and I even got flack for wearing my STL cardinals shirt which I assumed I would.”

We were giving recommendations through our elopement package and we were so glad we chose the dancing bear! We worked with Nicole for months in advance and we were blown away with every aspect of this place! She did an absolutely beautiful job of setting everything up and making our ideas come to life. The atmosphere of this restaurant is warm and inviting and was just what we wanted for our special day! The food was incredible and everyone in our party raved about it! The service was top notch as well! We had the sweetest server, she did an amazing job for our party! There is nothing bad to say about this place and I would definitely come back when visiting Tennessee again!!”

“Today was the first time I went to Catfish Campus as I have been craving a good catfish meal. The catfish is outstanding and cooked perfectly! Received a huge meal with 2 sides, abundant delicious hush puppies and a really good green tomato relish. I usually don't eat hush puppies or tomatoes but I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor of both. Very fairly priced for the amount of food received. The service was outstanding and my server was very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant inside could use some updating and not much atmosphere but the food well makes up for it. Will definitely be returning!”

“Came here for 6:30pm Wednesday trivia with Nerdy Talk! Highly recommend the spinach dip, loved it and it was a bit spicy. The pizza was also very good with a crispy crust. Tried the cheeseburger pizza which was unexpectedly good. The fries on top were the bomb. Draft list was absolutely huge with 20 options and the beer tasted fresh and cold. Trivia was a good time, would definitely come back. Perfect halfway point between Nashville and Bowling Green.”

“I went to Memphis twice in late 2023. First time around I tried central bbq and Marlowes. Central was terrible (food truck) , Marlowes was a nice sit down diner with an Elvis centered atmosphere (good food). 2nd time around I went to Payne’s bbq. I was blown away by this bbq. It’s unique , tasty, and the atmosphere adds to the authenticity of this bbq. The smoke on the ribs and the sandwich was perfect. And it was all paired to perfection with their mustard based slaw. I consider this an experience of fine bbq dining in a local mom n pop atmosphere. If you’re in town and want that “Legendary Memphis Bbq” Paynes is the place to go.”

“We moved here about a year ago. We have heard good things about the food at Edwards. We have struggled to get in though. We finally landed a table in the piano bar on Saturday 11/18. We had to sit at a dirty table for about 10 minutes. The bar tender finally came wiped the table complained about being the only bar tender for the entire restaurant. He said it would take a few before he returned. After more than 30 minutes with no service, drinks or even water, we went to the front to see about a table on the restaurant’s main dining area. The older lady at the counter who was less than pleasant said sorry and continued to make excuses for the poor service. My daughter walked to Strawberry Ally got a table and we left after 40 minutes of poor service and excuses. We eat out frequently and have visitors from time to time. Sorry to say we will not likely be back and would discourage others from going here. If you want a taste of the experience you are going to have call and listen to the voicemail for reservations that will tell you everything you need to know about the experience you’re going to have. Plenty of other great places downtown to choose from.”

“We had a really great experience. The food was all phenomenal. We tried the goat cheese, and I had the burger with blackberry jam and duck fat fries. They both really stood out, but for me the most exceptional part of the meal was the cocktail. I had the "Bourbon" which was their take on an old fashioned and it was incredible! I'd definitely recommend. My only issue is that it felt like everything was just a couple dollars more than it needed to be. It was still a great experience, but a little on the pricier side”

“This is an outdoor eating or to go restaurant. They do have signs saying order here and eat next door at Mickey's, but we chose to eat outside since it was nice. The food is to die for. The Italian beef is spicy and well made. It's not as large as that of those in Chicago, but it is a good substitute for being away from Illinois. The pasta bowl is decently sized. I did the mushroom and onions/peppers on farfalle and you definitely get lots of veggies! The focaccia is by far the best I've probably ever had. It's moist and salty and you can taste the olive oil. The fresh cut fries were awesome. You get a lot of fries, so much that they couldn't be finished. I had leftover pasta to bring home that will taste delicious tonight! The outdoor seating has umbrellas and you get some interesting entertainment if you stay long enough as there is a cigarette/liquor store across the way. Parking is a little confusing and if it is busy, you won't find a place to park at all. Otherwise, I will definitely be stopping in to eat again! Very friendly staff and delicious food!”
