“RAD!! This place is beautiful - pick any temperature you want - need to cool off in the river? Jump off the rocks and float down to the little eddy. Want piping hot? Follow the high path to the left all the way down river and enjoy a beautiful view of the Payette with the hottest pool they have. Want to fish? Bring your Power Bait and catch a curious trout checking out the warm water trickling off the rocks. This is a great place for kids, though be careful with the river current and walking down the rocks - water shoes would come in handy. Not a ton of shade either, or places to sit, but still a beautiful and unique stop. This was our kids’ favorite place in all of a 4+ week road trip through ID.”

Massacre Rocks State Park

“We had a great time camping overnight here! Great staff at the visitor’s center that helped us get checked in. They sell ice and wood there for good prices. We really loved our campsite location. We could see the river in both directions …”

Round Lake State Park
4.6
( 16 reviews )

1880 Dufort Rd, Sagle, ID 83860, United States

“The campground is nice, with great showers and clean bathrooms. The beach area/docks is pretty small, with some weeds in the water, but once you get deep enough, the water is cleaner and fun to swim in. We were disappointed that out of state guests have to pay double what Idaho residents pay. Many campsites have sloping ground which is difficult for tenting. The lake is a good size for paddleboarding or kayaking.”

“Love this place. My co-workers & I went tubing, & we had a BLAST!!! Allen & the rest if the tubing crew made our time here so memorable. The views from the top are just spectacular. Would definitely visit again when I'm in Boise.”
